Tyler bursts into our apartment. His breathing is heavy and he is sweating.

"Are you okay?" I ask, a bit worried. "Valentines is today! What if we don't finish it in time?" I place my hand on his shoulder. "Trust me, they will be done in no time."

The taller boy lays down all the supplies and I start making them. I grab six cups and fill it with water. "Tyler, put each color into a cup." He nods and starts poring the colors in.

I then cut the stems in half so the Rose will absorb the color. I place the stem in between the cup and the other half outside of it.

Once we are done, Tyler starts to speak up. "How long will this take?"

"A couple of hours."

I make my way to my bedroom and sit on my bed. I hear my phone go off a few seconds later:

"I have a surprise for you later."

My heart began to flutter. I need to get Josh something.

I look through my dresser until I find a hoodie and sweats. I grab a pair of kicks and start heading out the door.

"Please say you're not going to see Josh looking like that." I roll my eyes and turn around. "I'm just going shopping for a bit, that's all."

I grab my keys and start heading to my car.

Last week, I called Jordan to see if he knew Josh's ring size. Surprisingly, he does.

I pull up in the jeweler's parking lot and grab my wallet before exiting the car.

I ordered a black ring that had his hometown written on the inside of it.

I walk inside the store to see Jenna behind the counter. "Hey, Jen." I say quite happily. "Hello, Y/N. Can I help you with anything?"

"I'm here for a pick up." She nods and makes her way to the storage room. "Is yours the charcoal ring with Columbus, Ohio is written on it?" I chuckle and nod.

"Are you guys a thing yet?" A frown spreads around my face and I shake my head. "I bet you will tonight." She giggles before leaving.

I grab the box and start driving back to my apartment.

Even if Josh isn't my boyfriend, I still want to give him something. He's my childhood friend after all.

After I get home, Tyler is scrambling to get his things together. His clothes were all over the floor and loads of cards were sprawled everywhere.

"Ty?" I say quietly, not wanting to scare him. "I just want everything to be perfect. I want her to feel special. I want to have her forever tonight."

I then shift my eyes to my hand. He got Jenna a ring as well, but this was an engagement ring.

"Tyler, it's going to be okay."

"What if she says no? What if she runs off with Josh?" I choke on that last sentence. "Jish is mine."

"Git ur own fren." We both start laughing and Tyler starts to relax.

"Now, shall we get ready? Dinner's at seven." He nods and we both go into our room's.
