We leave the garden and go to the door of the data room. Byakuya puts the key into the lock. Something clicks. "What do you know? My instincts were dead on." Byakuya says. He opens the door and the first thing I notice are screens. There are screens everywhere.

"Aha. How very interesting." Byakuya says. I look closer at the screens. Wait a minute. Each one displays a different room in the school. Even ours dorms and bathrooms. "What would the mastermind gain from luring us to this room?" Byakuya asks. "This is got to be important. I mean, look how creepy it is." Ishani says, looking at a door with Monokuma's face. Taka tries to open it. "It won't open. It must be locked." He says.

"Hey guys check it out! This tv is hooked up to an antenna. You thinking what I'm thinking?" Hiro asks. "What?! Turn it on! Maybe we can pick up a news station or something!" Hina orders. We rush over to the tv. "Lions and tigers and bears, oh my! Nyeh Nyeh Nyeh Nyeh!" Monokuma says, walking in.

We gasp. No. How is he back?! "What the fuck?!" Leon asks. "Been awhile, ain't it sweethearts?" Monokuma asks. "Impossible!" Taka says. "N-no! You're supposed to be dead! We s-saw you in pieces!" Toko cries. When did she get here? "Dead? Darling! Honey! Sweetums! Babe! Opossums play dead, bears hibernate! Ahahahaha!" Monokuma says. "Of course he has spares. Remember when Mondo threw him and he blew up?" Ishani asks. "Yes. Another appeared almost instantly." Byakuya says.

"Creepy. He's even talking all different." Hiro says. "Different? Different is good! Different is natural! Jeez! Two years to leave me unchanged?" Monokuma asks. "Two years? I think your sense of time is skewed." Hina says. "Yeah, yeah. Whatever. Moving on to the main event-" Monokuma says. "What now?" Byakuya asks. "Since you little snoops were keen on it, let me tell ya all about the tv ya found. If you could direct your attention to behind you, please." Monokuma says, taking out a remote. I turn back towards the tv.

The screen turns on and shows...us?! What the heck?! The tv is showing us looking at the tv?! Words appear on the screen.

Monokuma finally reveals...the truth that will shock them all! Coming right up!

The heck is this?! "What...?! We're...?!" Byakuya asks, looking at the cameras. "What is going on?!" Leon asks. "Why are we on television?!" Hina asks. "Hey! You are not allowed to film us without our permission!" Taka says. "What is this?" I ask. "Um..." Hina says. "The hell? Is this a broadcast?" Ishani asks. Hiro waves at the camera nervously. "It's the school life of mutual killing! The highest rated television show in history! Friendship! Romance! Betrayal! Murder! Brought to you live twenty-four seven!" Monokuma announces. "So this is the purpose behind this...Of course... of course..." Ishani mutters.

"W-what is the p-point of something like th-that?" Toko asks. "Point?! There's a point behind everything I do! Thick headed, aren't ya? I've been spoon feeding you hints about the real purpose behind this school since day one! Do you think you were lured here for personal satisfaction alone?! You guys aren't even the first batch!" Monokuma says. "First batch? What does you mean by that?" I ask. "You want to know more about that? Just ask your blue haired friend! Or is it more of a indigo? Who knows!" Monokuma says. It can't possibly be Sayaka, so it must be...Ishani. Ishani is hiding something from us? What does she know? Does it have to do with her recent behavior?

"Oh, I see. You thought dropping this bombshell would be a nice ratings booster." Byakuya says. "Don't be so cynical. This is art! I'm ripping the envelope here! Pushing this puppy monday to metta. The public just eats it up! This is the ultimate reality show! I call it... Despair-tainment!" Monokuma says. "I refuse to believe such words! If this was real, then the authorities would have surely come and got us by now!" Taka says. "You really think so?" Monokuma asks. "What is that supposed to mean?!" Byakuya asks.

"Say the cops ARE watching this. Would it even be their problem? Maybe they like watching you squirm as much as I do!" Monokuma says. "Who backs you?! This type of thing costs astronomical funding! The equipment alone must run in the millions! Where do you-" Byakuya asks. "Uphuphuphu! Hard to imagine anyone going to these lengths?! I still have my secrets! But forget that for now. Focus on the task at hand." Monokuma says. "Which is what exactly?" Hina asks.

"You found a body. The rules haven't changed." Monokuma says. "You mean for us to have a trial." Byakuya says. "Bingo! That's the way things are sweethearts. That's how business goes and it's the only business I know." Monokuma says before leaving the room. "Wait! We don't even know who the hell that girl is!" Leon says.

"Dun dun dun! Corpse alert, junior dumbasses! You know how it goes! Investigation, then trial!" Monokuma announces. We head back to the greenhouse. Kyoko is there, investigating. "It's a ghost!" Hiro cries. "Excuse me?" Kyoko asks. "It's not a ghost dumbass." Leon says. If Kyoko is here, then it must be Mukuro Ikusaba. There's no other logical explanation. But who killed her?! And why?!

Byakuya and I go around collecting clues. It's something, but it doesn't feel right. Something is off. We head to the elevator for the class trial. "Kyoko, where have you been all this time?" I ask. "Investigating the second floor dorms. The key I found unlocks any door. I'll fill you in later. I'd like to focus at the task at hand right now." Kyoko explains. When we come out of the elevator the decor is so bright it hurts my eyes. "Now then! Let's get started!" Monokuma says.

"The culprit is none other than Kyoko Kirigiri!" Byakuya accuses. "Why?!" I ask. "We found the corpse around nine AM..." Byakuya begins. "A-and the first one to find i-it was...me? I went to the garden to get a t-tool to open the door f-for Master." Toko informs. "However, it wasn't there last night." Byakuya states. "Yeah! Byakuya and I confirmed it! It definitely wasn't there!" Hiro says. "So it must mean the crime took place between ten PM last night and nine AM this morning." Taka infers.

"Right after Yasuhiro and I parted ways at the greenhouse, I found the broken down Monokuma. After that I fetched Toko, Yasuhiro, Leon, Kiyotaka, Ishani and Aoi. We spent the rest of the night trying to disassemble it. All seven of us have perfect alibis. You're the only one who doesn't have one, Kyoko." Byakuya says. "It sounds like to me that Makoto also wasn't with you." Kyoko says.

"The sprinklers in the greenhouse are set to go off at seven thirty AM. But the corpse wasn't wet. It means the corpse was left there after seven thirty. Thus, the murder had to happen between then and nine AM. Makoto was with us during that time frame, therefore he's innocent. Which leaves you." Byakuya says.

"That's a strange testimony. Considering the corpse was wet." Kyoko says. "Only it's upper body was wet when you checked, correct? That's because we poured water on it to put out the fire after it exploded in front of us. That's why only the upper half was wet." Byakuya informs. "I see. So the sprinklers going off wasn't why the corpse was wet. But you can't say for sure that the murder occurred after seven thirty AM." Kyoko says. "Why not?" Ishani asks.

"Covering the body with a tarp would keep it dry. That means it could of taken place between ten PM and nine AM, which was when the corpse was discovered. I'm sure that's what the culprit did, since I found a bunch of tarps in the greenhouse shed. It allows the fact that Makoto could've committed the crime as well." Kyoko says. Huh? Does Kyoko really suspect me? The only one who saw me was Ishani. But she doesn't look like she's going to speak up about it.

"Oh my. This is very unlike you, Ms. Kirigiri. Seems like everyone's changing nowadays." Monokuma says. "It's not only the alibis that make you suspicious. The murder weapon also shows that you're the culprit." Byakuya says. "Murder weapon? You mean that knife lodged in the body's chest right?" Leon asks. "No. That was a fake. Only the victim's clothes were covered in blood. There wasn't any blood on the floor underneath or around it. The culprit stained the lab coat with fake blood beforehand, and then put it on the corpse." Byakuya informs. "So where did they get the blood?" Taka asks.

"Maybe they got it from the nurse's office like Hifumi did." Hina suggests. "No. I noticed that the chicken coop was missing a chicken. That's probably where they got the blood from." Byakuya says. "How horrible! They should of at least eaten it!" Hina says. "So what killed her?" Taka asks. "According to the Monokuma file, the victim was struck once on the head with a cylindrical object about as thick as a steel pipe." Hiro says. "So the murder weapon was a steel pipe?" Leon asks.

"No. It's duralumin arrows Makoto and I found in the martial arts dojo." Byakuya says. "Maybe, but an arrow isn't as thick as a steel pipe." Taka says. "The murderer used duct tape to bundle multiple arrows together. We found blood stained duct tape at the same spot as the arrows. Kyoko Kirigiri, you are the culprit!" Byakuya accuses. "What do you mean? I've never set foot in the dojo." Kyoko says. "No, you most definitely have. The proof was in your room the entire time. We found this key under your bed." Byakuya says, holding up a wooden slot key.

"It...wasn't...me..." Kyoko says. "How unsightly of you! Fess up already!" Byakuya orders. "You should know better than anyone that I'm not the culprit. Remember? I gave you the key to my room. I couldn't of been able to put the key there if I couldn't get in." Kyoko says. No, that's wrong. She has Monokuma's key. That can open any door. It's not like Kyoko to lie. So why is she?

"But Makoto did find a key to one of the dojo lockers in your room. So tell us, how did you enter your room?" Byakuya asks. "If you execute me here, then the mystery of this school will never be solved. I won't let that happen." Kyoko says. "Or will it? You're forgetting you're not the only source. It seems that Ishani is holding knowledge we don't know. Monokuma even said it himself. Isn't that right, Monokuma?" Byakuya asks. "You got me! Ms. Suzuki knows things, but too bad she's too stupid to put it all together!" Monokuma says.

"Oh shut the hell up!" Ishani snaps. What all does Ishani know? "What does it matter?! Isha's got a perfect alibi anyway. What she knows and doesn't know aren't important." Leon says. I'm sorry Ishani. "No. She doesn't have a perfect alibi. I saw her." I say. Ishani narrows her eyes at me."When?!" Hina asks. "Before ten last night. She was getting something from the storage closet." I say.

"She could of been getting the duck tape for the arrows." Kyoko says. "She did slip away on her own once or twice..." Hiro says. "What the hell is wrong with you guys?! She's innocent!" Leon argues. "As much as I hate to admit it, he's right." Byakuya says. "And why's that?" Kyoko asks. "The rest of the evidence doesn't line up. Ishani didn't have access to your room, which means she couldn't of planted the key. Her time spans for being gone were only a couple minutes long. Definitely not long enough to commit and cover up such an elaborate murder." Byakuya says.

"Makes sense I guess..." Hina says.  "Ishani Suzuki couldn't possibly be the killer. So the finger goes right back to you, Kyoko!" Byakuya says. Kyoko says nothing. "Hey, we're wasting time here, you know! Kyoko's the most suspicious one here, right? Can we start the voting now, then?" Monokuma asks. "Hold on!" I say. "Huh?" Monokuma asks. "Don't you think this Class Trial is a bit strange?" I ask. "How so?" Monokuma asks. "Isn't it weird that this trial started before we could even figure out who the victim was? Don't you all agree?" I ask.

"I thought you said it was the sixteenth student or something." Hiro says. "We haven't confirmed that for a fact." I say. "He's got a point." Leon says. "Agreed." Taka says. "Making us take part in a class trial when everything's so unclear is weird! You're planning something, aren't you?" I ask. "Huh? What about you? Aren't you planning something yourself? Don't they say that the culprit never keeps his mouth shut?" Monokuma asks. I see everyone turn and look at me. No. They can't think it's me.

"Alright! Time's up! You're out of time! The class trial is over so there isn't a need to talk anymore." Monokuma announces. "What do you mean we're out of time?" I ask. "It means you're out of time stupid. It's voting time." Monokuma says. "Wai-" I say. "Makoto was the one who found the key to the locker with the murder weapon, right? He could of just placed it there to frame me." Kyoko says. "W-what?!" I ask. What's she doing?! I'm not the killer!

"Since I couldn't have entered my room, it's the only logical explanation." Kyoko says. "Th-that means Makoto the k-killer!" Toko says. "And he tried to shift the blame onto Isha and get her falsely executed! If you weren't about to be executed, I'd beat the shit out of ya!" Leon says. "No..." I say. "Let's vote then!" Monokuma says. "You're wrong guys!" I say. But it's too late. Everyone is casting their vote. I can feel their glares. Leon, Hina and Taka's especially. They think I was trying to frame Kyoko and Ishani. I wasn't. I'm innocent. But the only one who knows that is the mastermind. The real killer.

"And the voted one is...Makoto Naegi! And boy, are you correct!" Monokuma says.

"N-no way...This trial is messed up! This whole thing is messed up!" I yell. No one looks at me. "What the hell do you mean time's up?! Explain yourself Monokuma!" I demand. "Here we go! Get hyped and excited! It's punishment time!" Monokuma says. This can't be happening. It can't be... The dreaded button rises up off the ground and Monokuma smacks it with a hammer.

The execution door opens and ropes grab my legs and arms. The only thing I feel is pure fear. The ropes pull me away from the trial room and through the door. I land on a chair in front of a desk. The ropes tie me to the chair. A Monokuma with glasses is teaching something on the board in front of me, but I'm too scared to pay attention. The screen above it displays Monokuma's face. There are chairs with desks everywhere. Behind me is a trash crusher. The crusher begins to move. The chair begins to move. No. Not yet. I don't want to die yet! I can hear the sound of the crusher getting closer and closer until I can practically feel the vibrations from it. This is it. I'm going to die. Suddenly, the Monokuma face on the screen changes to Alter ego. The crusher stops and I fall backwards down a long, dark shoot.

A/N: Makoto has been executed! But he'll come back. Japanese Protagonist power!
