Mr. Andrews knew how his daughter was going to spend her first day of a long-needed break from work. First the barn and then it was brunch or lunch with her high school friends. All of them came back to where they attended high school for an alumni ceremony that celebrated their success.

While the older man knew not to worry about his daughter, as she was an adult with a job or her own and didn't need to tell her dad where she was going and how long she would be gone for, he didn't imagine that she would spend the entirety of the day out with friends. So he did the only logical thing that any parent would do. He called the barn owner.

"I'm sorry Michael," Nick, the barn owner, spoke over the phone. "But Genevieve never came in today. We were hoping to see her, but I guess she got caught up with other things."

"Did you hear anything from her? Like maybe something about her not being able to come in today?" The worried father questioned. He remembered Genevieve leaving the apartment this morning early. Maybe 6:45. He remembered it was similar to when she would leave the barn while she was still in high school.

"Sorry, sir," the younger man spoke again. "I'm sorry but I need to go. Tell me if you hear from her."

"Alright, thank you." Michael stared at the clock. I read 7:33. Was it too much of him to worry for his daughter? Maybe she decided that she would spend the night with one of the girls. Natalia or Melanie. No, Genevieve would've called to let him know. She always called even when she moved out. Even when she started her job.

He picked up the phone again and started dialing an all to familiar number.

"Hi, this is Genevieve Andrews, sorry if I'm unable to come to the phone right now! Leave a message after the beep!" The voice of his daughter's voicemail spoke through the phone.

"Hey Gen, it's dad. I just called Nick and he said that you didn't visit the barn this morning. Just give me a call when you get this, love you." Michael spoke after he heard the automated beep and ended the call. He drummed his fingers against the table he sat at.

Genevieve hardly ever sent him to voicemail. With the phone still in hand, he started dialing yet another number.

"Hello?"

"Derek is that you?"

"Hey Mike, how's it been?"

"Good, good," The older man held back every urge to start biting his thumbnail. "You haven't heard from Genevieve at all today have you?"

There was a pause on the other end. "I don't think so, why?"

"I just contacted Nick, the owner of the barn she boards her horses at, and he said that Genevieve didn't go in at all. It's almost eight now, and I just haven't heard anything from her."

"Um, hold on," There was a hint of what seemed to be panic in Derek's voice, and Mr. Andrews did not find that to be comforting. "Hey Reid, have you heard from Gen at all?" Derek's voice was a little distant from the phone. And Michael mentally slapped himself upside the head for not calling Spencer first. Of course, he never formally met the boy, but considering how much Genevieve talks about him, the man found it disappointing that Spencer didn't come into thought.

"No, she told me she was heading to the barn and meeting up with high school friends." There was a distant voice that Michael assumed to be Spencer.

"Well her dad just told me that she never showed up at the barn and he hasn't heard from her at all today."

Silence fell among all three men. It had almost seemed that they were assuming the absolute worst at the moment.

"It's been over twelve hours since I last saw her," Michael added in hope that that could possibly help with anything.

"Mr. Andrews," Spencer was now speaking on the phone. "We will have agents over there soon."

"Spencer-" the line had gone dead as Michael spoke. The father looked at the phone with none of his nerves at ease.

At the BAU, Derek Morgan was already on his way to speak with Hotchner about what he was just told. Whether he was considered lucky or not, the man was still seated behind his desk filling out some paperwork.

"Hotch," Morgan spoke while knocking on the door.

"Yes?"

"I just got off the phone with Genevieve's dad," He wasn't sure what would be the best way to tell this without being straightforward. "He hasn't heard from her all day and she never showed up to her barn this morning like she said she would."

"This doesn't seem to be like a kidnapping," Hotchner spoke while briefly looking up from the papers.

"Sir, Genevieve calls her dad whenever we land for a case or back at the BAU and she always answers her phone."

Aaron Hotchner paused before putting the pen down on his desk. "I'll have Garcia gather the team and we can further discuss this."

Hearing the news that they might have a case and the fact that there was little information provided, the rest of the team had sat at the round table, waiting for an explanation of some sort.

"As of this morning," Morgan started to brief the team. An image of their fellow team member, Genevieve Andrews, popped up on the screen above the table and the tablets as well. "Genevieve was reported to not have shown up to the barn where her horses are currently board at."

"But Gen loves her horses," Garcia sputtered out. Multiple team members nodded their heads in agreement.

"And it's also the alumni ceremony at her old high school," Spencer added in as if that could be useful of some sort. "She had said that she and some of her friends were actually going to get acknowledgments of some sort."

Derek nodded his head as multiple images popped up on the multiple screens. All were copies of images of the driver's license of the friends. "From what I remember of her dad telling me before, Genevieve was a popular girl and so were her friends."

"So they were considered to be the "it" group," JJ stated while looking at the images. "But this doesn't explain anything to a crime being committed."

As if already ahead of them, Morgan dialed the number of Genevieve. He had put the phone on speaker before placing it on the table for all of them to see and hear. After several rings, it was sent to her voicemail.

"Mr. Andrews called me saying that he hasn't heard from her at all today. And she always answers her phone when someone calls her. Especially if it's her dad."

Silence fell among the team. Various thoughts and ideas seemed to be going through all their minds.

"Well, she didn't seem worried as if someone was stalking her," Emily finally spoke before motioning to the phone. "But this is odd behavior for her."

"I'm assuming that her friends would be home for this ceremony?" Both Spencer and Derek nodded their heads to Hotchner's question. "Garcia I want you to notify Mr. Andrews that we'll be coming over for more questions. I also want you to call the parents of the others and see if they or even Genevieve's friends know anything."

"On it," Garcia's voice became meek. The thought of Genevieve being kidnapped and tied up somewhere terrified her and made Garcia hope for Genevieve to be in a safe place quickly.

Genevieve herself felt her head pounding when she felt herself starting to come. The world seemed to be spinning around her and there was a bitter taste in her mouth.

"The golden girl of Quinnmont."
