Y/n pov

It's currently 1:45 am and I'm sitting in the basement of kehlani and I's house studying for my big test. I'm in med school after years of debating what my future would consist of.

I heard my stomach growl and I loudly sighed and slammed my laptop closed. Kehlanis been forcing me and our daughter to go on this vegan cleanse with her. I love that woman and all but I also love meat and dairy. A lot. Y/d/n doesn't fully understand it because after all she's only 4. While kehlani was on tour we ate a lot of takeout or i made some form of chicken or beef with our dinner. y/d/n isn't a big complainer so switching up our meal plan didn't face that child one bit.

"Mommy I'm hungry" I turned my head towards the small girl holding her blanket in one hand and rubbing her eyes with the other. Our dinner consisted of kale and water chestnut salad and tbh it was nasty as shit.
Y/d/n didn't take more than 2 bites then stated that she didn't like it. I tried to make her some toast but lani insisted that I stop spoiling her. So my baby didn't even eat dinner and I felt like a horrible parent.

"Awe, come here baby girl" i cooed opening my arms. She ran over and jumped in my arms. "How about we get some chicken nuggets?" You stated referring to McDonald's. "Yeah!"
y/d/n yelled ecstatically.

We quietly snuck upstairs to grab our shoes and the car keys. If kehlani found out we're getting fast food she would chew my ass out non stop.

As we sat in the drive thru I heard my phone ring and the caller was my wife, the one and only kehlani. "Shit" I mumbled.

Kehlani pov

I rolled over in bed expecting to be met with
y/n's warm embrace only to feel a cold spot in the bed. Glancing at the clock I read 2:00 am in the big red numbers. I sighed and got up and strolled down the hall to check on y/d/n but she wasn't in her bed.

I started to panic as I wondered all over the house. I checked every room including to basement and I found y/n's laptop and notecards along with y/d/n's blanket. I went upstairs and checked the garage only to see the G wagon gone.

I decided to call y/n and make sure they were both safe knowing she has y/d/n. She answered on the 4th ring. "Where the hell are you and y/d/n at 2 in the morning?!" I angrily asked. Before I could get a response I heard "thank you for choosing McDonald's tonight"

"You did not take her to get fast food" I whined already knowing the answer. "Sorry babe I had to. We were both hungry" "y/n we have food here why go buy something so unhealthy"

"Kehlani here me out right now, I love you and all but that food is nasty as fuck" she said as
y/d/n let out a small "what mommy said"

"Y/n I swear to god if my child is cursing you're sleeping on the couch for a week and no sex for a month" "Shi- crap I mean. I'm sorry baby we're on our way back now and I'll give you some fries if you want" y/n desperately said wanting me to not be mad

"Whatever, i just wanna know why you didn't say anything about my food" I let out. "It's because I love you and don't want to hurt your feelings" "Awe how sweet but you're still eating my HEALTHY food y/n"

"NOO!" I heard them both yell before i hung up and went back to bed.

So idk if i really like how this turned out but I just wanted to put something out real quick. I don't think I say this enough but I love y'all. You guys vote and leave so many nice comments on some stories I think are total shit. If any of you need someone to talk to ANYTIME im here so feel free. I LOVE YOU BITCH.
