The Room

Everyone returned.

Kaguya: Well I guess we'll now see their race.

Shirogane: Yeah. I'm interested to see how Manabu will fare.

Kiyotaka observed as Ryuen's Class D and Class C fought it out. Ryuen used every dirty tactic he knew. Class D finally knew a resounding victory. Class B fought to protect their allies but wasn't able to save them.

Kaguya: Honestly. What scum.

Kiyotaka: All of it going to plan huh.

Suzune returned.

Suzune: I sent your message.

Suzune observed him more closely.

Kiyotaka: You're staring you know.

Suzune blushed as she looked away.

Chika- Damn that girl has it bad.

Suzune: I apologize. It's just something my brother said.

Kiyotaka: Did you tell him?

Suzune: He'll be there.

Kiyotaka: Good.

Sudo: I can't stand working with these scumbags.

Kiyotaka: Sudo. Leave it for now. We're allies in this Festival.

Sudo: I know but still.

Kiyotaka: Trust me. Soon after this, I'll hammer in the last nail in the coffin for Class D.

Sudo: Oh well now we're talking.

Kiyotaka: Bear with it for now.

Sudo: You got it.

After a while, Kiyotaka found himself next to Manabu as their turn was about to begin.

Kiyotaka: Before we race. Let me advise you on one thing.

Manabu: Hm?

Kiyotaka: Run like your life depends on it.

Nagumo receives his baton.

Nagumo: Later Senpai.

Some girl hands over the baton to Manabu as Kiyotaka waits until Kushida gives it to him. They both dash as Kiyotaka slowly takes the lead.

Shirogane: They're leaving everyone in the dust and Ayanokoji is still in the lead.

Sudo: Holy crap. he's even faster than the SCP.

Suzune: I know he said it but still.

Suddenly someone in front of Kiyotaka falls over as he jumps over them but this gives Manabu time to catch up a bit.

Kiyotaka- That could have been a pretty bad fall.

Manabu is sweating as he is trying his best to overtake Kiyotaka but Kiyotaka isn't having it as he gains a wide lead once again all the way to the finish line.

Kaguya: He was still able to recover from that and make it to the end with a win.

Manabu is panting with his hand resting on his knees as he composes himself and walks up to Kiyotaka.

Manabu: I've lost it seems.

Sudo then slaps Kiyotaka on the back.

Sudo: That was amazing. I can't believe how fast you can run.

Kiyotaka: I've always been pretty fast.

Manabu: Since you've won our exchange and you are a part of Class A. Our contract is now in effect. I leave the school in your hands now.

Sudo: Huh?

Suzune runs up to them.

Suzune: Brother what do you mean by that?

Manabu: I'm handing the role of SCP over to Ayanokoji as per the terms of our agreement that if he won against me at this festival he would be appointed effective immediately.

Manabu offers him his hand to which Kiyotaka accepts as he shakes his hand.

Kiyotaka- He is someone I can respect.

Shirogane: Well I'm glad.

Kiyotaka: I'll take care of the school while you're gone. And I'll find someone suitable to replace me before I graduate as well.

Sudo: This is too much to process.

Nagumo: Senpai. You've really backstabbed me just now.

Manabu: I apologize Nagumo. However, I see no reason to hand the reins over to you when there is already Ayanokoji right here.

Kaguya: So he was meant to take over before Ayanokoji showed up.

Nagumo: Senpai. You'll soon learn to regret this.

Manabu issued his resignation speech.

Tachibana: Now for a few words from the new Student Council President.

Kiyotaka stepped out onto the stage.

Kiyotaka: Hello everyone. As you have all heard. I was a last-minute appointment due to a contract between me and Horikita-Senpai. I have plans to make my mark on this school so I thank you for allowing me to represent you all.

Nagumo stands up clapping.

Nagumo: President Ayanokoji. A good speech but I'm afraid most of the Second Years on the council have come to me voicing their desire to withdraw from the Student Council.

Kaguya: Another dirty bastard.

Kiyotaka: Is that so? In that case, The Student Council is open to new applications from here on out.

Suzune- That Nagumo. What is he thinking?

After the proceedings are over Kiyotaka approaches Manabu and Tachibana.

Tachibana: Congratulations on taking your position.

Kiyotaka: Thank you Tachibana-Senpai.

Manabu: Is there anything you need?

Kiyotaka: I only wish to ask that Tachibana-Senpai stay on the council to assist me with paperwork and as a representative for the Third Years.

Manabu: I see. Most of the student council was composed of Second Year students so this is quite a blow to you. Tachibana. What do you think?

Tachibana: I'll agree to it. But only until you find a suitable replacement.

Manabu: That should suffice for now yes?

Kiyotaka: That will do Horikita-Senpai. Thank you.

Ishigami: At least he was able to keep one ally.

Suzune: So now that you're the SCP. What are you going to do about the members? After all, Nagumo has left you high and dry.

Kiyotaka: I already have my eyes on a few potential new members.

Hirata: What about Horikita?

Kiyotaka: Not a good idea. It would defeat the point of me getting her ready for a more leadership position for Class A. Kushida.

Kushida walks over as Suzune pouts.

Kushida: What is it, President?

Kiyotaka: Would you be willing to work as my secretary?

Kushida: I suppose so.

Kaguya: I see. He's trying to keep a watchful eye on her. 

Shirogane: She's also a very valuable asset in Student Council Matters given her influence.

Kiyotaka: Good. Well, I'll leave the class in your hands while approaching the other potential members Horikita, and Hirata.

Suzune: Alright.

Hirata: Leave it to us.

Kiyotaka and Kushida leave as they enter the Student Council Room. Kiyotaka looked around to see the empty Student Council office.

Kiyotaka- Nagumo is really quite troublesome.

Kushida: I can't believe you've roped me into this.

Kiyotaka: Being a member of the Student Council will boost your popularity and I'll make sure not to give you too much work so you don't have to blow off your countless friends.

Kushida: I'll be your secretary so that isn't really possible.

Kiyotaka: I never said you would be my sole secretary.

Kiyotaka took a trip to Class C as Kushida followed closely behind as he approached Ichinose.

Kiyotaka: Ichinose-San. Could I speak with you?

Ichinose: Of Course President Ayanokoji.

Kiyotaka leads her outside the classroom.

Kiyotaka: I'd like you to join the student council as a secretary for me. You'll be working with Kushida who holds the same position.

Ichinose: Um but I'm a member of Class C.

Kiyotaka: And at the beginning of the year I was a member of Class D. It doesn't matter.

Ichinose: I'll give it some thought.

Ichinose left returning to her class.

Shirogane: He's recruiting members huh?

Kaguya: Well he's left with no choice considering what's happened.

Kiyotaka POV

Kiyotaka: Let's go Kushida. Our next member is a member of Class B.

Kiyotaka and Kushida arrive at Class B's room.

Sakayanagi: What a pleasure it is for the Student Council President to grace us with his presence.

Kiyotaka: I'm here for one Kohei Katsuragi.

Katsuragi steps outside.

Kiyotaka: You submitted this application correct?

Kiyotaka hands him an application for the Student Council.

Katsuragi: Yes but it was rejected.

Kiyotaka: I'm inviting you personally. Are you still interested?

Katsuragi: I am.

Kiyotaka: You'll be our treasurer.

Katsuragi: Understood. Um, can I ask for a favor President?

Kushida: I understand the President is a good person but aren't you being a bit...

Kiyotaka interjects.

Katsuragi: I want to send this letter to my younger sister that wishes her a happy birthday.

Kiyotaka: That is against school policy. I am unable to provide you with the means to do so. However, I'm sure you know that anything in this school can be bought with Private Points.

Kaguya and Shirogane smile understanding it.

Katsuragi's eyes widen in realization.

Katsuragi: Thank you, President.

Kiyotaka: You are free to elect someone as your secretary if you wish. But make sure you come to me first.

Katsuragi: Understood.

Kiyotaka: That will be all.

Katsuragi returns to his class.

Kushida: Are you sure that's alright? Class B are our enemies, aren't they? Is it alright to give him a position?

Kiyotaka: He runs a faction opposite to that of Sakayanagi. That faction is dwindling in members due to the results of the Island Exam. If I reinvigorate their side then I'll be able to polarize Class B once again. They'll be too busy fighting amongst one another to fight our class.

Kushida: That's a really nasty move you know?

Kiyotaka: Indeed it is.

Kaguya: A dirty move... well I suppose it's not that bad.

Kiyotaka returned to the class.

Chabashira: The next Special Exam is approaching. The Paper shuffle. Two classes will be paired up and attack each other with questions. Classes A and B will be and matched and Classes B and C will also be matched up.

Kiyotaka- This will be troublesome.

Kaguya: His class isn't exactly Academically gifted so this could end badly.

Shirogane- How will he deal with it then?

The Bookman: Well that's it for now. Have some rest.

The Paper Shuffle went badly just as Kiyotaka expected. Class B who all had a far superior Academic variety of Students under Sakayanagi won easily against Class A whose Academics were far less impressive.

Kaguya: A complete loss huh?

Suzune: We lost. In a landslide.

Kiyotaka: It's to be expected. We didn't stand a chance.

Suzune: I still can't stand it.

Kiyotaka: Due to this loss and our demotion, I'd like to present three study groups for you all. I'll attend to one of them personally.

Hirata: President. That's a great plan.

Ayanokoji: I expect the following students to attend my group. Sudo Ken, Ike Kanji, Yamauchi Haruki, Sakura Airi, Haesebe Haruka and Akito Miyake. If all of those 6 comply I will give 10, 000 private points to each attendee. If even a single person is missing without a valid reason no one will receive any private points. Yukimura I wish for you to assist me.

Ishigami: Bribing them with Private Points? Smart.

Yukimura: Since it's you I'll agree to it.

Sudo: Free points? Count me in!

Ike: I'll be there.

Yamauchi: Sounds like a drag.

Miko: How lazy.

Kiyotaka was helping his Study group when after it ended Haruka stopped everyone.

Haruka: We all worked really well together. I propose the formation of the Ayanokoji Group.

Yamauchi: Nah I'm out man.

Ike: Me too.

Sudo: I'll join. I mean it is the Prez after all.

Haruka: Then It's settled. Its Kiyo-pon, Yukimu, ME, Airi, Miyake and Ken.

Yukimura: Please don't call me that. And you should be more respectful, Ayanokoji is the Student Council President.

Kiyotaka: It's fine. Just refer to me as president during large gatherings or events. Otherwise, it's fine.

Sudo: Really?

Kiyotaka: Yeah it's fine Ken. By the way, you've improved by quite a bit. You've gone from averaging 50 to 62. Well done.

Sudo: Hell yeah!

Kiyotaka: Meanwhile Teruhiko...

Yukimura: Please don't call me that. My mother named me and she left not long after. Please call me Keisei.

Kiyotaka: We have that in common it seems. Though I don't mind using the name she gave me.

Yukimura: Kiyotaka... Seriously?

Kiyotaka: I never met her. I've heard rumors though from my father's employees that she was some sort of Prostitute.

Kaguya: Prostitute? What's that?

Chika whispers in her ear as Kaguya goes red.

Kaguya: But only married couples shoulld do that.

Chika: Yeah but Guys are pigs who'll pay to do it without that.

Ishigami: Hey we're right here you know.

Shirogane looks wounded by her words.

They all pale.

Sudo: I feel bad for you man.

Haruka: That's...

The Bookman: Alright that's all for now.
