"I.. Uh.. What do you mean 'I saved you'?" Lena stuttered, trying to process everything that had happened in such a short amount of time.

"I was on a different Earth saving a hero's girlfriend and I managed to get myself in a position where if I didn't defuse a bomb I would've probably died and I.. I just thought to myself what would you do.. You saved me, Lena." Kara exclaimed, hugging her.

"A.. And the kiss?" She asked.

"I meant every ounce of it." Kara smiled. "Barry, the guy who's girlfriend was missing said something that made me realize how much you really mean to me. There's nobody I would rather spend my time with than you."

"I'm so glad you're okay." Lena pulled Kara in for a hug. After they broke apart, Lena narrowed her eyebrows. "But never do that again. You had me worried sick."

"I won't, I promise." Kara laughed.

"You have to tell me every detail over breakfast, got it?" Lena said.

"Yes ma'am." Kara grinned. "So where's food around here?"

"The only place I can go to this morning is the schools cafeteria and they open in 20 minutes." She said, looking over at her clock.

"Oh okay.. Do you mind if I shower in the meantime? I kind of smell like sweat, smoke and a little bit of gasoline." Kara asked.

"Go for it. I'll get you a change of clothes." Lena said.

"Thanks!" Kara said, rushing off to Lena's bathroom. Lena chuckled and gathered some casual clothing that she knew Kara would enjoy. Lena felt as if she was on cloud nine. She knew that she had feelings for Kara a while back, but they started to fade away after their fall out. But that kiss brought back every good feeling Lena had about Kara, resurrecting all of her old feelings and making her fall head over heels for her once again.

She turned the bathroom door knob before realizing what she was doing. She slammed her eyes shut and turned around to face the door rather than the shower.

"Clothes and a towel are on the counter." Lena said before shuffling out. She heard a muffled 'Thank you' as she closed the door. She then started tidying up her desk, trying to make it more presentable since her school papers was scattered all over it.

A few minutes later, Lena heard the shower turn off, followed by some rapid movement and the bathroom door opening. Kara wore the clothes that Lena had set out. (which in Lena's opinion suited her very well) Her hair was still slightly damp, but she put it in a bun to make it look presentable.

"I really love your bathroom." Kara said.

"Thank you?" Lena chuckled. "Now we can head to the cafeteria. By the time we get there it will be open."

"Sounds perfect." Kara grinned. "Who knew that saving someone would make someone so hungry?"

Lena shook her head and chuckled. They made their way out of Lena's room, neither of them saying anything. Although, both of them had the same thought on their mind. The feeling that after this day their relationship wouldn't be the same. As they entered the cafeteria, there were only two others there and Lena forced Kara to pick a spot on the other side of the room. Within seconds of being sat down, a middle aged woman walked up to them with a small notepad in one hand and a small pencil in the other.

"What would you both like to drink?" She said with a heavy British accent.

"I'll have a coffee, black, and she'll take a hot chocolate." Lena said. Kara smiled.

"You know me so well." She said.

"Yeah yeah." Lena replied. "Now, tell me about what happened. Quietly, of course."

Kara went into a far to detailed explanation of everything that had happened, not forgetting a single thing. She didn't even spare any details when it came to Winn vomiting all over Star Labs. Lena listened intently, mesmerized by Kara's way with words. Her storytelling ability seemed better than any of the teachers at this horrid school. By the time she had finished, the food they ordered had arrived and they were ready to eat. Kara ordered enough for 3 people, which wasn't surprising to Lena.

"It sounds like you had a time." Lena took a sip of her coffee. "I wish I could've been there."

"I'm sure it won't be the last time I run into trouble like that." Kara grinned. Lena sighed.

"Just please don't get yourself killed." She said. "You're just a kid. Just like me. We still have our whole lives ahead of us."

"Don't worry, Lena. I'll be fine." Kara insisted. Lena nodded, averting her attention to the two people who just entered the cafeteria.

"Oh, are those the friends you were talking about?" Kara smiled and waved as she looked them.

"No! You idiot put your hand down befor- and they're coming over. Just great." Lena sighed and looked away.

"This your little girlfriend, Luthor?" One of them scoffed.

"And who are you?" Kara replied in a less then friendly tone.

"The names Max, you?" He grinned, reaching his hand out.

"Kara." She replied, keeping her hands at her side.  "Who's your little buddy?"

"Oh that's Morgan. Don't worry about him." Max chuckled. "You aren't from around here, Kara. I can tell. Why don't I show you around the town?"

"I'm good. Thanks." Kara replied, picking at what was left of her food.

"Eh, probably for the best." He shrugged. "Only losers hang out with someone like Luthor here."

"Say that again, I dare you." Kara challenged. She had a tight grasp on the plastic fork that was provided with her meals. Lena pried the object from her hand before it snapped and gently placed it down on the table.

"I'm not really one to do something on a dare." He replied, slightly rolling his eyes.

"Don't you know it's rude to roll your eyes, Max? I figured your parents would've taught you better... Oh wait.." Lena raised an eyebrow.

"Low blow, Luthor!" He said sternly, crashing his hands down on their table. Within a second Kara had placed herself in between the boy and Lena.

"Why don't you just go get your breakfast?" Kara said with her eyebrows narrowed.

"Fine." He said to Kara. He looked over at Lena. "This isn't over." He said before storming off.

"What's his deal?" Kara scoffed, sitting back down.

"Just a regular school bully and grade a jerk. He used to be a really sweet kid, I swear he did. But after his parents died he turned over a new leaf, and not a good one." Lena said.

"Weird." Kara shook her head. "He's been giving you trouble?"

"Nothing I can't handle." Lena smiled. There was a moment of silence before Kara decided to change the subject.

"So uh.." Kara started. "We kissed.."

"Good observation." Lena nodded before taking a bite of her food.

"Well.. What does that mean exactly? I'm not to sure what Earth's relationship customs are." Kara said truthfully.

"A kiss could mean a lot of things, Kara. What do you want it to mean?" Lena asked.

"I dunno.." Kara fiddled with her fingers. "What do you want it to mean?"

"When you kissed me what was going through your mind?" Lena asked.

"That I really like you.. And enjoy having you around. And that I missed you.."

"So, what do you want that kiss to mean?"

"Goodness can we just speed this up and get to the part where I call you my girlfriend and stuff? I suck at this." Kara groaned.

"You want to be my girlfriend?" Lena asked.

"Don't be so surprised. Anyone would be lucky to have you as their girlfriend." Kara smiled. Lena looked down at her food and sighed.

"Kara.." She started. "I would be really lucky to date someone as kind and amazing as you.."

"Why do I sense a 'but' coming..?" Kara frowned.

"But it's too risky. Lillian's not necessarily supportive of the whole dating thing at my age. You need to know that she wouldn't hesitate to pull me out of our school. The only reason I go to Midvale is to keep out of the public eye and there are plenty of other schools that would do the same." Lena explained.

"What if we just kept it a secret? It's not like we have to have a big gay parade or something." Kara said.

"Now that.." Lena chuckled." That sounds like something Alex and Maggie would do."

"Oh they are. It's pride month, that's what Alex told me. So next Saturday they organized a huge parade and party." Kara said.

  "I'm not surprised." Lena replied.

"So what do you say? Can we give it a shot?" Kara asked.

"Nobody can know. Not even Alex." Lena said. Kara nodded as she bit her lip.

"Is that a yes?" Kara asked.

"Yes." Lena smiled and nodded. Kara's phone started to ring, which was awfully disturbing since it was on high. She scrambled into her pocket, struggling to pull it out as people started to stare at her. She awkwardly chuckled as she managed to pull it out and answer.

"Hel-" She started.

"KARA I CANNOT BELIEVE YOU! HOW COULD YOU DO SOMETHING AS DANGEROUS AS THAT?! ESPECIALLY WITHOUT TELLING ME FIRST. I SWEAR ON MY LIFE THAT THE MOMENT YOU GET HOME YOU'RE GROUNDED. GOT THAT, YOUNG LADY?" A screaming Eliza ranted on the other side of the phone. Kara's eyes widened as she clenched her teeth. Lena could hear the screaming from the other side of the table and looked down at the ground.

"Good morning to you too." Kara said sarcastically with an uneasy chuckle.

"Not the time for jokes. And if you aren't home in 2 days you'll be grounded all summer." Eliza said before hanging up the phone. Slightly flinching, Kara withdrew her phone from her ear and shoved it back into her pocket.

"So that was Eliza..." Kara muttered.

~

The next 2 days were filled with as much as they could fit in. The first day, Kara snuck Lena out of the school and brought her to a movie theater. They pigged out of popcorn and junk food the whole time, and held hands the entire time. They had the whole theater to themselves that day and didn't hold back when it came to laughter or talking. Afterwards the spent the rest of the day in a nearby park, having far too much fun on the children's playground equipment and earning strange looks from a few of the parents.

The second day was gloomy, since it was pouring rain outside. They stayed in and spent a majority of the time talking and opening up to each other about many different things. Lena shared her stories about her birth mother, and Kara shared her stories about Krypton. They also managed to squeeze in a small make out session before it was time to say goodbye.

"I'll come back as soon as I can.." Kara said. Lena nodded and sniffled.

"Don't get into any more trouble." She grinned. With a fake gasp she slapped her hand on her chest.

"I could never!" She replied sarcastically.

"I'm serious. I don't need you getting grounded for the whole summer, or god forbid injured." Lena raised an eyebrow.

"I will try my best." Kara nodded. "And if everything goes according to plan.. I will see you in a month and a half."

"That's such a long time." Lena groaned as she buried her face in Kara's shoulder.

"I'll call you as much as a can. And just call Eliza if you want to talk to me." Kara said. Lena nodded and pulled Kara in for one last kiss.

"I'll see you soon.." Kara frowned.
