Let's summarize previous book from the start,

Vanshika and Vinay were one of the top surgeons in Delhi who are taken back in time to Dwapar yug where befriend Pandavas and are princess and prince respectively of Dwarka.

They help Kunti to disclose the truth of Karn and then bring Duryodhan to dharm's side. In the process they fell in love with Yudhisthir and Dushala. Vanshika is crowned as the queen of Asmak and she also saves Ujjain, the rajya of her sister's lover Vikramaditya, from a rakshas Kajasur (Kaju).

Then, Pandavas with Duryodhan are supposedly burnt in the Varnavart and meanwhile Vanshika frees Avanti and decides to merge Avanti and Asmak into Saurashtra.

In its felicitation, she gets to know about the Pandavas and Duryodhan being burnt in Varnavart and that 2 months have already passed. She is very angry and hurt at and didn't talk to anyone.

After 2 years, the swayamvar of Draupadi happens and she again meets the pandavas. On the way, she saves a girl from child marriage and accepts her as her disciple. After, Duryodhan wins the swayamvar, she is now angry at all of them. They eventually pacify her. 

Dushala's marriage gets fixed with Jaidrath but she and Vinay love each other and Vanshika helps them to get married instead as a result Dushala and Duryodhan are disowned by Dhritrashtra and Gandhari. After some months, Vanshika's swayamvar is planned and Yudhisthir wins it and in the heat of the moment and also in influence of Shakuni, Dushasan insults her. 

When they come to Dwarka for pagphera, at night Vanshika and Vinay go into a coma like situation and they wake up after 2 days. In that time, Dushasan comes to Indraprasth and tells everyone that he is reformed and apologizes for his deed.

Arjun, Krishna and Yudhishthir reach there and hearing this, Yudhi. eats Dushasan black and blue and returns to Dwarka where Vinay and Vanshika finally wake up.

He asks Vanshika about his dharm sankat to forgive or not forgive Dushasan while the latter replies in affirmative. Yudhisthir agrees and they spent the rest of the night in peace (if you know what I mean😏).
