After the surgery I was wheeled to the recovery ward where my dad was waiting for me. He stayed sat next to me to I woke up. Which wasn't that long after I'd been wheeled into the recovery ward. Probably about twenty mins after I was told by one nurse though I try not to dwell on it.

When I woke up, I saw dad sat next to me half asleep his head resting on the bed. "Dad?" I croaked

His head shot up and smiled when he saw me and said "How's you?"

"Tired but pain free you?" I ask as I knew my mouth and face was numb, way to numb to be able to eat anything probably or anything at all though I knew they would want me to eat

I looked at my dad as he held my hand tightly in a vice grip and he knew, just knew that he wouldn't let go of my hand. I smiled up at him as I blinked my emerald green eyes up at him as I started to get tired again.

I was wheeled back to the en-suite side room if been given and I was immediately back asleep once in the room. Comforted by my dads presence and I knew mum wasn't so far behind.

Mum came out of the bathroom after having a quick shower while she waited and she saw both my dad and me asleep. So deep in sleep that her making sure we had a blanket didn't wake us up when it normally would.

"Sleep well you two redheads" Penny chuckled as she took a photo and sent it to the pair of us and Charlie

Then she to fell asleep.
