*(y/n)'s POV*

As soon as I got to the kitchen, I made a full pot of coffee, not just for me, but for my guests who probably wanted some. BB-8 must've sensed my presence when he rolled into the kitchen and started beeping in excitement, which made me giggle. A couple minutes later, Rey, Finn, and Poe woke up and met with me in the kitchen before General Hux woke up, in annoyance from BB-8's beeping, minutes later. Once Kylo finally decided to come back inside, both groups briefly glared at each other before I quickly asked everyone how they wanted their breakfast made and they each told me what they liked before I assigned them to the dining room table. Rey, Finn, and Poe sat together on side of the table, while Kylo and General Hux sat on the other side.

Once I got breakfast done and served it to them, I sat at the end of the table in between Kylo and Rey and we all started eating. It was rather awkward to sit and eat in silence for the next couple of minutes while I glanced up and watched both sides glaring daggers at each other. It was rather irritating to be watching this while eating, but at least it was better than having them fight.

But, then, the silence was soon broken when I heard Poe say, "Can you two stop staring at me while I'm eating?" "Oh, my God. Please don't start this." I muttered. "Well, it's hard to do so with you three sitting across from us." Kylo responded, rudely. "Guys, please." I tried to say, but no one seemed to hear me. "I can say the same thing for you two." Finn chipped in. I slapped my forehead in annoyance because everyone were starting to act immature. "Such rude manners coming from individuals that are part of the Resistance. I can't imagine how disgusting the food even tastes there." General Hux said. "Says the redhead general who looks like he hardly eats anything." Rey said back, making General Hux gasp, in shock.

"That's enough, everyone! You all promised to try at least get along while you're here, even if it means you all have to sit at the same table together! Now, please can we all just sit here and enjoy our breakfast and start something different without conflict between you all and one of you antagonizing someone?" I said. Both the Resistance trio and the First Order duo were tense and hesitant to answer while they glared at each other. But, then, they finally let out a frustrated exhale and they all answered, in union, "Fine."

Once they somewhat agreed, I decided to start with a different subject to at least help them completely agree to something and get along at the same time. "So, how do you all like your food?" I asked, nicely. "It's delicious, (y/n)." Finn was the first to answer. "I've never had anything like this. It's good." Rey said. Poe nodded since he was eating. "I must admit, it's better food than the kind we eat at the First Order." General Hux mentioned. "This is excellent. You're a wonderful cook, (y/n)." Kylo commented, and it made me slightly blush. 'I hope nobody, especially Kylo, doesn't see me blushing.' I thought to myself. I mentally shook it off and said, "Well, it's all thanks to my mom for teaching me how to cook."

"You know what? I think we should take the time to get to know (y/n) since we owe her a lot." Rey suggested. All the gentlemen nodded in agreement, which was nice to see some progress working on getting along without conflict. I chuckled a bit and asked, "Um, what would you all like to know about me?" "Just anything interesting about you that we all like to know." Kylo responded. "Okay, then. Basically, I'm just a soon-to-be college graduate with many interests and hobbies. I like to paint, sing, and learn about astronomy." I said. "Is that one of your paintings right there, (y/n)?" Poe asked, pointing to my galaxy painting.

(A/N: This is another one of my own paintings. I edited it to make it more dark and realistic.)

"Yes, it is, Poe." I answered. Everyone stared at it in amazement before turning back to me. "That's incredible. I don't know how you make it look so realistic." Rey commented. "Years of practice, I guess. I want to be a well-known artist and have my own art studio once I graduate college." "What's college?" Finn asked. I furrowed my eyebrows, in confusion. "There's no colleges in your world?" I questioned. Everyone shook their heads in response. "We have academies, but no so-called 'colleges'." General Hux said, somewhat rudely. "Oh. I see. Well, college is a higher educational institution or establishment that provides higher professional education to students to help build up their careers." I explained. "My college is right around the corner from here." I pointed to the direction. "Oh. So that's why there were so many people over there when we were looking for BB-8. They're all students." Rey said. "And also professors too. Not just students." I added.

"Not to be noisy or anything." General Hux began to say. "As usual." Kylo muttered, but loud enough for the general to hear. He glared at Kylo for a moment before he continued on. "I was just curious. If you live here all by yourself, how do you make a living besides attending school?" General Hux asked. "I work at a small local cafe. I'm a barista and a waitress. I've been working there since I moved here my first year of college. I'm originally from Los Angeles, California, but I like it here in North Pass, Oregon. It feels like home to me and I love the cold weather here than the hot weather in California. I took two weeks off from my job to focus on my finals and enjoy my graduation week. Plus, my mom pitches in a little bit money every month to help me with rent and Ma gave me a good price deal on rent since I'm a student." I said. "Who's Ma?" Poe asked. "She's my landlady. Her name is Margaret, but we call her 'Ma' for short." I answered.

"You got a boyfriend? A cute boyfriend?" Finn asked. I glanced to the side and noticed Kylo glaring at Finn, looking jealous or something. Then, I laughed and said, "No. I don't have a boyfriend. Not even a cute one." Kylo's jealous expression disappeared afterwards. "Hopefully I'll find one and that way Paul can stop bothering me." I added. "Who's Paul?" Rey asked. "He's this annoying guy who harasses me all the time. He has a crush on me and he's been asking me out all the time, even though I've already told him 'no' and he's not my type." I said. BB-8 beeped next to me and I nodded at him. "And I saved BB-8 from Paul and his stupid friends. Paul is supposedly an investor and I guess he finds any type of scrap metal to build something with it and he was gonna take BB-8." I told everyone. "That piece of scum." Poe muttered.

Then, I noticed that everyone was finished with their breakfast. "I'll take your guy's dishes." I said, as I was getting up from my chair. I grabbed all their dishes and stacked them before I went to the kitchen and started cleaning the dishes. "Would you like us to help you, (y/n)?" Rey offered. "No. You all are my guests. I'm gonna wash these dishes and, then, I'll get dressed before we go grocery shopping for your supplies and for myself later on." I said. "I highly doubt Kylo and Hux would help anyway since they're both so pampered." Finn said, making Kylo and General Hux look at him, angrily. But before they could say something back, I cleared my throat, loudly, and stared at Finn, with my eyebrow raised. He exhaled, frustratedly, and muttered, tensely, "Sorry."

As I was washing the dishes, I heard Kylo ask me, "Are those your parents, (y/n)?" I turned around and saw him and the others looking at the photo of my parents on their wedding day on the counter. "Um, yes, they are, Kylo." I answered. "How come there's a picture of you and your mother at the age that you are now and one with your father when you were little?" Rey asked. "Um, I grew up with my mom for most of my life than with both my parents. I...hardly know my dad." I responded, looking away while I was hiding the sadness on my face. "Is your father...?" Poe began to ask, but, then, he paused at the end. "No. He's not dead. My dad's still alive, but I don't know him very well since he and my mom divorced when I was five years old. It's...been tough for so long, I can't even talk about my dad." I said, with a hint of sadness in my voice, which I'm sure everyone could hear.

But, then, I cleared my throat once I finished cleaning the dishes and changed the subject. "Anyway, I'm gonna go get dressed and, then, I'll write down a list of things to get at the grocery store before we leave. If any of you need anything, just knock on my door and let me know." I told everyone and headed to my bedroom to pick out my outfit for the day, trying to not to think about my father and also hoped that no one doesn't start a fight while I'm gone.
