Honestly I am so sorry guys I really have been trying to keep up with the story but I have a really busy life but I'm writing two chapter for today because then I can get them done and out of the way in order to make the story move along a lot faster. Love you guys and thank you for your support!

The next morning came fast as I got up my body ached and groaned. The soreness from last night completely taking over as I dropped back down on the bed. Jesse wasn't supposed to be so rough last night. You giggled at the thought of him not wanting you to leave. Honestly you didn't want to leave him either but you knew you didn't have a choice. You sighed and looked up at him. He still maintained a death grip around your waist as you struggled under it. He slowly stirred awake as he smiled before yawning. His breath smelled of whiskey and cigarette smoke. You kind of fell in love with that smell as the smelled like it all the time, it soothed you.
You went to close your eyes again but several minutes later you opened them. You couldn't fall asleep because then there was absolutely no way you would be getting out of bed and making it to your mission.
You laid on your elbows so that you were facing him and kissed him gently on the lips. You never wanted this sweet moment to end but it had too.
"No" Jesse said as he held you closely, squishing you in the process.
"Jesse can't breathe" you gasped as he let you go.
"You shouldn't leave, call in sick or something" he said
"Jesse this is my job, I can't just decide not to do it whenever I want"
"Yeah but it's risky"
"Why do you think I joined overwatch?"
"Because it was overwatch or jail" he stated
"No, I joined overwatch for the risk and adventure"
"Yeah well there is plenty of adventuring you could do from the safety of our apartment" he grinned.
"You and I both know that wouldn't work out well" you giggled once again before finally making your way out of his hold.
You waddled in the bathroom as your legs were sore and took a quick shower. You didn't pay much kind to anything as you got out and dried off. You put on your uniform and made your way out into the room again to see Jesse buckling his belt. He turned around and went to hug you. You stepped back.
"As don't you love me?" He whined
"I got blown up multiple times for your ass so don't you ever ask that question again..... of course I love you" you pulled him in for a hug.
You both walked out of your apartment and made your way down the halls to the docking area. The walk was silent but a comfortable silence before you made it there. You sighed and looked at Jesse who all of a sudden looked really nervous.
"Jesse what's wrong?" You asked.
"Um come here" he grabbed your arm and pulled you away from everybody else's sight.
He gulped before looking at you.
"Look (y/n), I know we've been through a lot but we've made it through every obstacle and we are still together" he chuckled and pulled a box from his pocket.
You gasped already having an idea of what was inside. He slowly got down on one knee and took his hat off of the top of his head.
"(Y/n), I love you. I don't think I can ever be without you ever again. Please do me the honors of making me the happiest man alive and become my wife"
This was a big step that honestly caught you by surprise. You stood there shocked as he kneeled still. He looked insanely worried because you hadn't said anything yet.
It had finally set in and your eyes began to water.
"Yes..... yes of course!" You said as his smile got ten times bigger and he slipped the ring on your finger.
You admired the simple ness of the ring, it reminded you of Jesse. He was a simple man but he meant so much lord then that. He stood up and hugged you as your hugged him back.
He kissed you all over your face before you heard them call last minute docking for your ship.
"Shit! I have to go! I love you Jesse" you kissed him one more time before grabbing your bag and running off. Looking behind you at him as you walked onto the ship. His smile faded as the ship left the docking area and set off for the destination of kings row. You sat down in a seat, only then did you realize that you knew nobody that had been assigned to this mission. Well this outta be fun.
Looking down at your engagement ring, it had one diamond encrusted in the middle of the ring giving off a beautiful shine. You played with it while smiling. You looked up to see Gabriel had sat down next to you.
"Gabriel I didn't know you were on this mission too?"
"Yeah same mission but different section then you, but if you need help call me" he said before his eyes made their way down to your fidgeting hands.
"Damn that Jesse mcree, did he really?" Gabriel said while his eyes locked on your ring.
You chuckled "yes he did"
Gabriel's chuckled along with you as you both talked some more before preparing yourselves for the mission ahead.

Sorry this is actually a pretty short chapter meaning I didn't write much but that's because I'm in the process of setting up the plot for the rest of the story and this chapter was kind of just like a filler. So I apologize for the shorter chapter but it needed to happen. You'll thank me later!
