"Hey Jacob, Where are you?" I yell into Jacobs apartment. I'm using my spare key because Jacob is in one of his moods again and I know that he would rather not get out of bed right now.

"Bedroom" I hear a muffled yell back.

I let out a tiny sign when I notice that his coats been thrown on the floor, along with his keys. It looks like he must have been in a bad mood when he got home. I pick up his things and place them on the counter before starting to walk up the stairs leading to his bedroom. I slowly open the door, peeking my head inside, just to make sure it's ok for me to come in.

"Hey" I say walking in to see Jacob sprawled out on the bed, watching some random show on Netflix.

"Hey baby" he mumbles, never really making eye contact.

"Whats up?" I ask, noticing something felt really off with him.

"Its nothing, just come cuddle with me please" he says, lifting up the blanket to let me in. I look at him for a second, unsure if he is really telling the truth. I decide on ignoring my gut feeling and just end up laying beside him. Once I'm wrapped up in his arms he holds on to me with an insanely firm grip, not leaving any space between us. I let out a deep breath and lay my head on his chest, just relaxing into him.

We lay there for a couple of minutes in complete silence. It isn't an awkward silence, it's more of a comforting one. I feel Jacob's chest begin to rise and fall faster and faster, I also hear him let out a loud sniffle, it was obvious he was trying to cover something up and be quiet.

I quickly turn my head up and prompt myself up with my elbows so I can get a good look at him. When I turn around I see an unexpected sight, Jacob, puffy eyed with tears falling from my eyes. He's never cried in front of me.

"Jacob, what happened?" I coo, sitting up and caressing his teary cheeks with my hands.

"y/n it's nothing, it's just something I need to work through on my own" he responds, turning his head to the side so I wouldn't be able to see him.

"But Jacob, you don't have to work through it by yourself. I'm your girlfriend and I love you. Please let me help you, let me talk to you". I grab his hand, lacing it in mine.

"I can't y/n, it will mess everything up".

"Jacob just tell me what happened. I promise nothing you say will make me any less in love with you" I say, wiping a tear from his face.

"Ok" he sighs. "It's just that you're the best person I've ever met. You're gorgeous and you treat me and everybody else so well. I was just thinking about all that and I just know you're so out of my league. I get worried that someone better will come along and sweep you off your feet. Theres a lot of things I can't do for you and I know somewhere there is someone who can do everything for you. It just makes me feel really shitty".

My heart drops at his words, it sucks that Jacob feels that way and it sucks even more that I kept brushing it off all the time, until today. I want Jacob to know that he is everything to me and no matter who came along, or how attractive they are, they could never take me away from Jacob. I realize that I haven't said anything out loud to yet, and that I was just staring, so I needed to get my shit together and fix this.

"Jacob, you know I love you more than anything else and you are perfect for me. You're my person. I don't want anyone else who isn't you, they could never compare because there is no denying how you make me feel. You make me feel like I'm the luckiest person ever. You treat me better than I could ever ask. Please don't ever doubt that. I love you" I tell Jacob, holding his hand tighter than ever.

He lets out a sniffle, disguised as a laugh and wraps his arms around my shoulders. "I love you so much" he mumbles into my neck. "I'm sorry, I know you would never leave me".

"I love you Jacob, remember that" I say before finally connecting our lips for a sweet, passionate kiss.
