The next morning y/n woke up to the sound of her phone ringing. She got out of bed and noticed Charles wasn't there. She checked her phone and saw it was Lando.
L: "Y/n? Where are you?"
Y/n: "Good morning to you too."
L: "Sorry; morning. Where are you?"
Y/n: "At Charles... why?"
L: "Oh! I just was at your place and it was locked, so I didn't know what happened to you."
Y/n: "Wow Lan; cleary I have got to start locking my door more. Why'd you wanna see me?"
L: "I wanna see youuu... breakfast?"
Y/n: "Am I in trouble? Is something wrong?"
L: "No you muppet! Calm down, just meet me at the café."
Y/n: "Okay, see you in a bit."

She hung up and got ready, when she finished she went down to look for Charles.
Y/n: "Babe?"
C: "I'm here!"

She turned and saw him in the simulator, he looked so handsome while he concentrated on practicing.
Y/n: "I'm going out for breakfast with Lando, he wants to talk."
C: "Okay! Be safe!"
Y/n: "Love you!"
C: "Love you too!"

She let out a small giggle and went to the Café where she saw Lando waiting.

Y/n: "Hey Norri!"
L: "Heya!"
Y/n: "What's up?"
L: "Nothing really. How's things with Charles?"
Y/n: "They're great! I'm really happy."
L: "You guys are a perfect couple! And speaking of couple..."
Y/n: "You finally got someone!!"
L: "Don't sound so surprised! But yes, I did."

Y/n and Lando got talking for a while after this and eventually Lando said:
"I have to ask, I haven't ever thought it appropriate but now I want to know. What made you want a career away from home and in Monaco specifically? Formula 1 perhaps?"

Y/n: "No... we'll not entirely of course. So since a kid my dad got me into watching the Grand Prix and we always loved the Monaco one. I always knew I wanted to come and see Monaco in person so we planned a whole trip... He got sick after the planning and we never got the chance to come. I said to myself that I'll come for the both of us. While I was looking up places in Monaco, I noticed one was looking for a singer every odd night, I always dreamed of a singing career and in Monaco nonetheless it really was! So, I called the company and auditioned, it was a great success and when I got the job opportunity I moved to Monaco. Haven't looked back since!"

L: "Wow, that's amazing! I'm sorry about your dad, y/n. He'd be so proud of you."
Y/n: "He would've loved this place. He would've loved the fact that I'm sitting across from you and have Charles waiting at home."

They laughed at this and y/n realized that, that was the first time she managed to tell the whole story about her dad without hesitation...
