The next morning Y/n was free to go home, Charles took her straight back to his house where Arthur had been waiting.

A: "Y/n! Thank heavens you're okay!"
He ran up to her and hugged her.
C: "Easy mate, she's still sore on her arms."
A: "Glad to see you guys made up! Couple of the year! I mean you can't tell me that you two aren't picture perfect."
He showed them a photo he had taken a while back;

Y/n: "How long have you kept that? That's from our first sleepover"
They all laughed at the way y/n had said sleepover and everything finally seemed normal again.

Y/n: "love, I've got to get ready for tonight. Last show before the next race weekend."
C: "Are you sure you want to come? I mean there'll be press, lots of media."

Y/n: "Wouldn't miss it."

Y/n went to get ready for her late afternoon show. Once she was ready she covered up her bruising with a bit of makeup and wore a long sleeve dress. She and Charles headed down to the restaurant.

When the show started y/n sang beautifully, looking around she noticed Lando, Max and Daniel had arrived and were seated with Charles. Half way through the show noticed Marc come in the back and started to feel a panic building.
"There'll be a quick break and I'll be back."

The boys were noticing her panic and called her over. She climbed off the platform and searched for a path to them; distracted by Marc's arrival. She started weaving amongst the people, feeling short of breath and lost sight of the guys. Suddenly she heard a familiar voice.

"What's the rush?"
Y/n: "Why won't you just leave me alone!"
M: "I actually came to tell you that I am sorry."
Y/n: "Yeah right. Just go, go home and tell everyone they can stop waiting for me."

She turned and walked away when he grabbed her hand, she shot him a look and he immediately let go.

M: "Forgive me; I didn't."
Y/n: "You didn't think! Just leave me alone. For good!"
M: "I just-"

Charles had made his way through the people with Daniel at his side and came up to y/n.
D: "you heard her mate. Just go."

Charles turned to y/n; "Hey, forget about him, you go and finish this show. Your voice is your weapon, a beautiful shield. Do it for me."

Y/n had never heard anything so beautifully worded and headed back up to the platform and nothing Marc was still in the audience she did exactly what she needed to. She wielded her weapon. She sang a perfect over of 'IDGAF' by Dua Lipa and saw Marc leave. Finally she had a fleeting thought that, that might be the last time she sees him...
