Spots POV

"Good Morning Doll face." I whispered into Y/n's ear and kissed her cheek as I stood up from the bed. "Ugh, no. What time is it?" She turned around trying to pry her eyes open to look at me. "5 in the morning on the dot."

"Why so early?"

"Trust me beautiful this isn't early." She scoffed at my statement and I smirked at her trying to sit up. "That doesn't answer my question."

"Is gotta go to work and Is wanted to have breakfast with yous."

"Good enough of a reason for me. How long will you be at work?"

"I should be home around 6pm but Is gotta hour lunch at 11 if yous wanna stop by. Now what ya craving? I don't go much. Eggs, bread, butta, oranges, and left over pie with some sorta meat with cheese but I might take that for lunch."

"Eggs are fine." She smiled at me standing up and grabbed a couple of oranges squeezing them into glasses. "Eggs it is then." I grabbed the skillet and lit the stove on then began making us some eggs fried. "Wow I haven't had fried eggs in such a long time."

"Why's that?"

"Mother says they are too messy for a young lady to eat. That's why she boils my eggs."

"Messy? Yous just hasn't learned the right way to eat them." Soon Is was done cooking our eggs and I set hers on a plate setting it on a table as she placed our juice down. "Watch closely. First yous gonna want to cut around the yolk and eat that part. Make sure not to break the yolk yous gonna wanna keep it intact. Now simply scoop under the yolk with the fork and..." I popped the whole thing in my mouth making her laugh. "That's ridiculous. How could I possibly fit that entire thing in my mouth?" I smirked and she glared at me. "You're thoughts are very provocative Spot." I twitched my eyebrow. "If mines so provocative how's it you knows what Is was thinking?" She shook her head and covered her face hiding the slight blush on her cheeks. She ate her eggs just as I showed her and smiled. "Spot?" She spoke up swallowing down her orange juice. "Would you mind if I went out to the market for you?"

"Is don't know. What if somebody sees ya."

"I'm not too worried about that. William goes out hunting all day on Mondays, Mother never goes out unless its for Fathers work or a party, and the maids won't thing anything of it. I usually go out shopping on my own for William on Mondays when he really needs something. This is because his staff has the day of Sunday and Monday so I do all the house work and cooking."

"You cook an clean while he has fun hunting?"

"Well I can't be expected to go hunting with him."

"Why not... don't answer that I know why. Yous a woman." She nodded her head. "Have yous ever wanted to go?" She shook her head. "I wouldn't know how. I don't even know how to fish."

"Well we can change that. Hows about wes go fishing tonight? That's when nobody is there and yous can catch some good ones."

"Really?" She smiled at me excitedly. "Absolutely. Yous can barrow some of my old clothes so yous don't ruin your nice ones."

"I can't wait." I looked at my clock. "5:30 Time for me to head out." I kissed her softly as she kissed me back. "I'll be back at 6. Here so yous can go out to the market." She nodded her head saying thank you and I smiled at her heading out the door to begin my work building yet another skyscraper.

When I arrived a got to work quickly. "Morning Spot," I smirked and shook Eyepatch's hand. "Morning."

"I hear you got a little woman staying with ya. A wedded woman and not to you."

"Oh yeah? Who told ya?"

"Jack."

"That loud mouth I told him to say nothin to nobody."

"Jack? Keep a secret? Maybe on his death bed. Hey don't worry I hasn't told nobody."

"Thanks." I tossed him some screws. "Not that its any of my business but what is yous doing with a married woman staying at your place? Say it isn't the Y/L/N goirl who married that William guy is it? That's gonna get you into a lot of trouble."

"I don't care, I love her. Besides we're in a complicated situation."

"What can be so complicated about not being with a married woman?"

"She's pregnant." Eyepatch dropped his hammer. "You're shitting me. And the baby is yours?" I nodded my head. "Can you even afford a baby? They need special things like formula, a doctor, those glass bottle things clothes,....."

"I get it."

"I'm just saying. Can yous afford all that? Let alone Y/n. She's used to living the high life. What's going to happen if she wants or needs something and yous can't afford it? You work long hours what if yous isn't there when she's about to have the baby?"

"I don't know now will you shut the hell up?"

"Sorry I just don't want you getting into something that you can't handle."

"There aint nothing I cant handle." Despite my statement throughout work I began thinking a lot about what he was saying. William may not treat her right but at least he can provide everything that she needs and our baby needs.

While all the others went to lunch I decided to walk home to make sure Y/n was alright. That is until I saw her heading my way. I instinctively smiled. "How was the market?"

"Good I found a lot of things for sale and I made you some beef stew. The meat you took in your tobacco box smelt awful and I couldn't let you eat something that might have gone bad. I brought it in your Dewar Bottle." I opened it looking inside and by golly it smelt like heaven. "It's an old recipe. Made with my special spices that I can't say, corn, green beans, tomatoes, and onions, and of course beef." I smiled giving her a kiss on the cheek. "This is wonderful doll. Thank you."

"I hope you like it, because you're having it for dinner as well. Only I made cornbread to go with it."

"And you didn't bring any?" She giggled. "It's for dinner." I took a bite of the stew and it was delicious to say the least. "This is wonderful. Best food Is ever had besides your chicken you made me."

"Thank you. It's also a little bit of sucking up considering I really would like to go fishing tonight."

"Yous don't gotta do anything for me to go fishing. Is told yous we was going to go and I meant it. Right after work We'll pack up our stuff and go."

"You won't be tired?"

"What better way to relax after work then a quiet night under the stars catching some swimmers with a special goirl."

"Well I can't wait."

Later that night we was sitting in a boat that David let me borrow. I had all my fishing gear ready and handed the pole to Y/n. "Okay now when you're ready cast it."

"I- I'm uh kind of nervous."

"Nothing to be nervous about. Here let me help you." I moved behind her placing my arms around hers and my hands over her hands. "Simply toss back and release." Her smile grew wide and we sat back down. "Now real it in just a little." She sat on my lap and I continued to keep my arms wrapped around her. "Now what?" She asked. "Now is the fun part. We wait." She giggled again covering her neck with her shoulder. "What?" I smiled at her. "You're breathing is tickling me." I smirked. "That's right yous ticklish."

"Spot no. Spot I mean it. Don't." I stood up as she tried getting to the other side of the boat and I followed her. I moved to her sides as she began laughing hysterically. "Don't, stop I can't... hahaha." Suddenly she snorted and I laughed a little and she frowned. "Oh don't get upset I wasn't laughing at you I promise. I think your little snort is cute." She continued to look down. "Really I mean it. That was the cutest sound I've ever heard." She sniffled a little. "Really?"

"Honest." She smiled again wiping her tears. "I'm sorry I don't know why I got so emotional. Must be all of the hormones." I smiled caressing her cheek and neck. "Seems like it's getting late. Ready to go home?" She nodded and I rowed us back to the docs tying it up where David told me to. "We didn't catch anything." Y/n spoke up. "Welcome to fishing." We walked hand in hand back to the tenement.

She clenched around me biting the bottom of her lip as I held her hips. After her high was over she fell on my chest kissing me softly. "Is think this position is my favorite."

"Don't get used to it. I'm exhausted." I laughed as she lifted herself up pulling me out of her and laid beside me. "Is love you."

"I love you too Spot."

"We have two days left."

"Two days and then I tell everyone the truth."

"Yeah, Is been thinking about that." She furrowed her eyebrows and turned towards me. "Is think William, yous staying with him will be for yours and the baby's best interest." She scoffed at me. "No it wouldn't. You know nothing of what goes on in that house."

"I know that hes got enough to take care of yous. Provide for your every need." She shook her head. "How dare you tell me what is and what isn't good for me. I've lived in a first class society my entire life and it is only now that I feel happy. I do not wish for my baby to grow up like that."

"No instead you want him or her to starve on the street and beg like dogs for some moldy old bread in their stomach right?" I raised my voice at her. "You wouldn't let that happen!"

"Yeah but one day theys gonna stop find new efficient ways for construction and if that don't happen one day Is gonna fall 500 feet off a loose metal bar because it wasn't fixed the right way and then what? What happens to you!"

"I don't know." I stood up slipping my jeans and my button up shirt on without buttoning it then looked down at her. And smiled trying to keep hold of my temper. "Is love you so much and that's why Is think this is for the best. He or she is gonna get an education betta one then Is got, hes going to learn some skills like banking, science, something that is going to give him a good future. Not some stupid trade that Is got. If she's a girl she's gonna marry a rich man maybe be apart of an opera or ballet. But Is telling yous where that baby wont be headed. Working to death like me."

She didn't say anything. She just stood up and walked to the little bathroom I had and shut the door. I paced back and fourth running my hands through my hair. I walked to the little bathroom knocking on the door when I heard a sniffle from inside. "Look. Is just want the best for yous and baby." She still didn't open the door. "I'm sorry I yelled." Still nothing. "I love you so much." Again nothing. "Ok, Is gonna head out just for a little while to give you some space." I walked outside and around for a little while contemplating on whether I can afford to have a family. Just calculating it in my head there is no way. My loves will have empty bellies.

A few hours later I walked back noticing the door open and Y/n sitting outside. Silently I sat down next to her. "You're right." She spoke softly her voice cracking. "I need to stop thinking about myself and my happiness and thing about the baby's. Time to stop being selfish." I wrapped my arm around hers. "Is know its hard. Believe me Is hate that...."

"You didn't let me finish." She stated and I stopped speaking to listen to what she had to say. "I need to stop thinking about myself yet my whole life I did nothing but think about other people and never did what I wanted. Now I have a proposition. William and I will get a divorce. I will marry you. And I will get a job. I know how to sew and mend clothes, I am excellent at patchwork, I know how to knit and crochet. I believe I will be a fine seamstress. I believe my quilts will sell greatly. I can and will make up the money to help and there is nothing you can do about it." She stared at me intensely letting a tear fall from her face. I wiped it away with my thumb. I honestly didn't know what to say. She would be throwing away her and the baby's future. But for now I just let it be. I didn't want to make her cry again.
