It didn't take long for the three of them to work themselves into society. Undyne stole them all new clothes, Alphys them found a house that nobody lived in, and Mettaton was quick in receiving an acting job. Granted it was on a less than popular medical drama, but he would rise through the ranks in no time at all.

Undyne stole multiple computers and tablets from the local library at night and helped Alphys set them up in the newly appointed "lab" in their new basement. Their house was semi large; four bedrooms, a bathroom, and a library on the second floor, two bedrooms, a sunroom, a bathroom, a kitchen, and a dining room on the main floor, a spacious basement, and an attic. The yard behind the house was unkempt with wildflowers and weeds growing everywhere and the front was messy, but Mettaton vowed to make the most fabulous garden to show off.

They had neighbors who, to their credit, were thrilled to have new people move into the neighborhood. Their names were Tachibana Kai and Hikari. They were kind enough to not report them for squatting since the house was empty for years and years. A drug deal turned murder had the house forever empty around sixteen years prior. Kei was a fifty three year old, retired war veteran who recommended Undyne for a job as an officer.

Alphys spent most of her time working on her computers. Learning about the world, quirks, leaderheads, heroes and villains, and after she learned about UA, the highest acclaimed hero school, she finally found Sans. Undyne wanted to get Sans right away, but Alphys didn't want to. Say they did get their comedic friend right away, what would they do then? They can't get home without Nova and frankly, Alphys didn't want to rip Sans away from the family he found himself in.

With her copious amounts of free time, she spied through news programs, security cams, and anything else she could to observe Sans in his new environment. He looked like a skeleton wrapped in skin. Pale skin, white hair, black eyes with white pupils, and the same outfit he wore ever since she could remember.

Alphys was one of the oldest monsters in the Underground. Her first meeting with Sans was on her hundred and fifth birthday. The Underground was just getting established after the Great War. A local bar was established by former General Grillby the Fire Elemental. She went out to eat as a little treat and a tiny skeleton with the most innocent personality was her waiter. An hour into her stay she learned that Sans was the only child of her superior and famed scientist W.D Gaster. He was almost always at the bar and when Papyrus came into the picture he was the most dedicated older brother she'd ever seen. She remembered seeing human families in their world before the war. They were cruel. Always bullying and sacrificing the weakest among their ranks when hunting or fighting amongst themselves.

Sans did everything in his power to support Papyrus and his interests. When Papyrus wanted to learn cooking, Sans set up lessons with Grillby and later Undyne. When Papyrus was stuck in a depressive episode, Sans was right there to make him laugh and make him feel better. When Papyrus wanted to join the Royal Guard, Sans introduced him to Undyne, who made Papyrus her pupil. Everything Sans did was for his little brother, even at the cost of his own happiness.

Now that he was in this new world, he was actually happy. He was able to be the kid he was never able to be. He was worked into the Kirishima family, his name in this world was Sans W. Gaster. Alphys didn't know if Sans was aware of Gaster's....experiments on him and Nova.

After watching videos of the Sports Festival, the amusement and joy on Sans's face was as clear as the blaster he was riding on. Undyne was cheering him on through the whole video and was just as enthusiastic as ever.

When she wasn't keeping tabs on Sans, Alphys worked an online job where she remotely hacked into people's computers or handhelds and fixed them quickly for high prices. She quickly learned what yen was, how it worked, and how to use it responsibly.

Mettaton was a rising actor in the movie scene. He was quick in making himself known to directors, other actors and actresses, and to some high end social media influencers. He was unbelievably popular online through his multitude of social media platforms. He was living out the dream he was programmed into wanting since his creation and he was loving it.

Sure he had free will now, he was technically a human now, but he still loved and had an aptitude for theatrics. However, he was able to find things that he liked outside of what he was originally programmed for. Gardening was a huge thing, he loved parties, and he loved fashion. Fashion and parties fed into his budding acting career, but he couldn't get enough of either.

He took gardening very seriously. The front of their new house was whipped into shape with lovely flowers from the backyard, a small sign with his and his female companions names on it, and a birdhouse shaped like a heart. He fixed it to where it hung upside down like a monster's soul. It took many coats of paint, but it was eventually painted white to match. He quite liked this new world and he would be really upset if he were made to leave. He would follow the good Doctor Alphys in whatever decision she made, but he hoped she liked this world as much as he did.
