Sans was uneasy. He had been expecting weight training today, or even close combat lessons. Right now, however, he, Mina, and Ragdoll were in their Pussycat/"Kitten" uniforms walking from Ragdoll's car to a mall. Apparently she overheard their conversation the night prior, and convinced Mandalay to let her take the two out.

"Ragdoll, while I appreciate the outing, did we really have to be in uniform?"

Sans's face was burning as he tried to tug his skirt to hide the tops of his pale thighs, not covered by his stockings. He wanted to hide in a closet when Ichika and Natsumi saw him in the outfit, but he got over that cause they were his mother figures, and they didn't care. People all over the parking lot stared at them, whispering to each other.

Mina was owning her outfit. It hugged her curves nicely, and she loved the varying shades of pink and white. Made her feel cute. Sans liked the outfit too, but he wanted the ground to swallow him.

"You should embrace the uniform Kitten. You look cute, and who cares what people think."

"SANS!"

"Oh no."

Sans was snatched off the ground and hugged tightly by the one and only, "Great" Papyrus.

"Brother, what are you wearing?"

"My uniform, Paps. Please put me down now."

Sans was set on his feet. Papyrus wore a simple black muscle shirt, having gained more body mass than Sans had, despite being there longer, and a pair of black pants. He had a bag of produce with him, so Sans assumed he just left.

"Ragdoll, Mina. I'd like to introduce you to my brother, Papyrus."

"Hello, Sans's companions."

"Nice to meet you, Papyrus!"

"Sans, I must head back to Ichika's house. Stop by later, I have something I want to discuss with you."

"Sure bro. No problem."

Papyrus left for his cruiser and the three finally made it into the mall. They walked around for a bit before Ragdoll wanted to check out a toy store. She wanted to get something for Kota, since he didn't want to come with.

"Hey Sans, any idea what was up with Papyrus?"

"No clue. Mina, does it make me a crappy brother if it bothers me he doesn't see my new home as his second home? I mean, he doesn't want to stay here, he really wants to go back to our hometown, but... I don't know, am I pushing what I want on him?"

"Nah, you're fine. Honestly, he doesn't have to see the place you call home as his home too. Is he trying to force you to go back home?"

Mina internally smirked. She was gaining more insight on her bestie, by asking carefully placed questions. And it was working.

"Eh, he did when he first showed up, but he stopped when me and Ground Zero had our first date. I think he's irritated that, while I am homesick, I don't want to go home yet. He was really annoyed when I went on that date actually. He said he didn't want me to have emotional ties to Japan."

Mina frowned at that snippet of information. If Papyrus really cared for his younger brother, wouldn't he support him? Want to be happy that he found love?

"Think Kota'd like this?"

Sans held up a black slingshot with a packet of multicolored balloons, obviously intended for water balloons.

"I think he'd love that."

Sans let Ragdoll buy the toy and they continued their walk through the mall. Sans and Mina bought Eijirou some Crimson Riot posters and new shirts since he shreds through every one he has. Sans ended up buying Katsuki a new rock climbing kit that had a cute little bone pattern. He and Mina had a laugh about that.

"Hey kids! Over here!"

Ragdoll was in front of the many restaurants in the mall. It was a little British tea shop. They all went in for lunch. Sans got earl grey, a blueberry scone, and a burger. Mina got hot chocolate, a chocolate chip muffin, and nachos. Ragdoll got an iced tea, plain sugar biscuits, and fish and chips.

The food was great, if a little pricey. Sans took the fancy "Catsup" bottle with him, using a straw to drink.

He snickered at the blushing looks sent at him turned to horrified disgust.

"Sans! Look!"

Mina pointed at a darkly lit store. It was American, called "Spencer's". The place gave off a creepy vibe, but he allowed Mina to drag him inside when Ragdoll was distracted. Safe to say, he was a blue faced mess on the way out with Mina laughing her ass off.

"There you two are. What do you two want to do, spa or pet store?"

"Pet store!"

"I don't have a preference."

Sans shrugged his shoulders while trying to burn his more recent memory. The two ladies dragged him to the pet store. While the two girls were fawning the little baby bunnies and puppies and kittens and whatnot, Sans walked around the store. He was thinking of getting Katsuki a collar as a prank. He was already looking at one. A thick banded red collar with small, dull, gold studs and a small gold hoop for a nametag.

"Rrroww."

Sans blinked and looked down. A light grey cat brushed against his shin.

"Damn cat! There you are!"

A scruffy employee rushed the cat and lifted the poor thing by its scruff. Sans smile grew strained and grabbed the man's soul. A dark violet; perseverance, disciplined, proper, obsessive. Sans took the filthy cat and dropped the man.

"Can I ask why you're obsessing over this cat?"

"She's a little escape artist. Everytime I put her back in her crate, she finds a way out. She's, unfortunately, going to be put down. I'm on a little bit of a time crunch, can you give her to me and carry on with your shopping?"

"Yeah. I'll take this collar, a smaller dark blue collar, a cat leash, and some treats. I'll also take a cushy cat bed."

The man's face lit up and he got really happy.

"Of course. Follow me and we'll get her all cleaned up."

"Yeah sure. How old is she?"

"Only a year old, still a kitten. She's a Maine Coon so her fur'll get quite long as she gets older. She herself could grow into a massive size."

"Does she have a name?"

"No, I usually give the cats names if they don't have any when we get them, but today was the last day we were allowed to keep her. She's typically too aloof. I'm happy she found someone she liked."

The man, Kai, groomed the cat to perfection. Her fluffy white coat made her big blue eyes pop. She was fitted for a collar and leash Sans paid for her and the items he wanted. A cushy halloween skeleton cat bed, the blue leather collar with a blank tag and little gold bell, cat food, bowls, treats, and some toys.

"What should I name you?"

Sans thought hard until he snorted.

"Alright, I got the perfect name for her. You ready?"

The man smirked and readied his typing fingers, ready for one hella long name.

"Do your worst, kid."

How strange, no one ever referred to Sans as a kid before. It was nice.

"Heh. Her name will be,"

The man stared at the computer screen with complete focus.

"Mayo."

The man made a choking sound as he pounded on his chest.

"W-what?"

"Her name will be Mayo."

"Are you sure? Once she knows that's her name, you can't change it."

"Trust me, I'm more than sure. Mayo is gonna be the best girl in the entire store."

"Excuse me? Wanna run that by me again, skele-boy?"

Mina stood behind him, with her hands on her hips, an eyebrow quirked, and a playful scowl on her lips.

"Oh my apologies, great and humble Pinky Panther. Best girl in all of Japan."

Mina snorted and eyed the cat, Mayo, curiously.

"You're getting a cat?"

"Yup. Her name is Mayo."

"So I've heard. Why are you getting her?"

"She was going to be put down, and I always wanted a pet. My Dad was, uhh, allergic."

In truth, Gaster hated domesticated animals, preferring to experiment with them. Sans took Mayo's tag and attached it to her collar. His contact details were on a second tag behind it. He then attached her leash to her collar and let her stand on his shoulders.

"Hey Kittens~ and actual kitten?"

"Her name is Mayo. Say hello to Miss Ragdoll, Mayo."

Mayo meowed up at the stunned, and slightly proud pro hero. Technically students weren't allowed to bring their pets to their internship or their work study, but given the fact he didn't bring her, but adopted her during the internship, that was a finely executed loophole.

"Nice to meet you little Mayo. Let's go to the vet and get her an impromptu appointment, on me."

Sans had a blaster carry his bags while he cuddled with Mayo. She was a quiet, water loving, cuddly cat if he's ever seen one. Sans quickly grew attached to Mayo. Loving her down to the very last strand of fur. When he was in the car, she started kneading his legs, getting ready to lay down, but he didn't feel claws.

"We're here! The best veterinarian office in town! Hey look, I see one of my friends!"

Sans was getting out of the car and attaching Mayo's leash when Mina squealed.

"Bakugo! Kiri!"

Sans's face lit up as he tried to get back into the car. It was locked.

"Dammit Ragdoll."

"Richter?"

Sans turned slowly to face his boyfriend, who was blushing just as much as he was. Katsuki's hair was back into a side part, and Sans couldn't stand it. He reached up and gave his hair a violent shuffle, fixing it back into the spikiness he loved.

"Hey Ground Zero. What brings you here?"

"Don't know about Kirishima, but that Jeans Bastard has me parading around trying to make a good impression on people."

"Is it working?"

"No. He is too short tempered and brash. Pleasure to meet you, Gaster. I'm Best Jeanist. I believe I sent you an offer?"

"Yeah, sorry about turning you down."

Sans could see the Number Four Hero's eyes crinkle as he chuckled.

"Bakugo talks about you nonstop. Are you two together, perchance?"

Both boy's went darker, one of whom started yelling at him. (I'm sure you can guess who.)

"Uh, yeah. He's my boyfriend."

"I see. Thank you, and nice dress."

Sans groaned and was pulled into Katsuki's arms.

"What's its name?"

"Her name is Mayo. I rescued her a little while ago."

Katsuki snorted and gave Mayo some scritches under her chin and behind her ears.

"Bakugo, let's go. I have to fix your hair."

"Ugh. See ya later, Richter."

Katsuki stole Sans's lips for a heavy kiss and ran after his week's mentor, blushing madly with a scowl. Sans was dazed, not fully understanding what happened. His cheeks were painted a faded periwinkle as a giggling Mina and Ragdoll pulled him into the vet's office.

Thankfully, it wasn't too busy, so they were able to get Mayo in right away. The took her temperature, weight, vitals, a blood test, urine test, and got ready to chip her.

"So young man, where'd you adopt this cat?"

"I got Mayo at the petstore in the mall. She was going to be put down."

"Well, I hate to break it to you, but she'd already chipped."

"What?"

Sans's heart broke. He couldn't keep her without effectively stealing from someone else.

"We're called her owners now. They should be here soon. If they don't want her or they don't show we can transfer the chip data into your phone and send you on your way."

Sans opted to wait, to hope for the best. Mina sat with him, rubbing his back comfortingly.

"Hello?"

Sans looked up to meet the gaze of a saddened, smiling woman.

"I was told you found Ghost."

"Yeah. In a petstore, ready to be put down."

Sans tried to keep the bitterness from his voice, but he couldn't help it.

"I'm glad you found her, but I'm afraid I can't keep her anymore."

"Really?"

"Yes, my son had depression and regular panic and anxiety attacks so we got Ghost as an Emotional Support Animal. My son...took his life a few months ago and the cat ran out of the house when I was going through his things. I tried to find her, and even put up fliers, but to no avail."

"Do you take her claws away?"

"Yeah, it pained me to do that to her, but I couldn't trust my boy to not use her claws to hurt himself. Here, all the information for her chip and her current medical papers, and even her work vest and official document proving she is an Emtion Support Animal. I already paid for the appointment myself, seeing as I put you in distress. Did you..did you give her a new name?"

"Yeah, her name is Mayo."

"I like it, a good name for a sweet girl. Thank you for finding her. Give her some treats from me."

"Thank you."

She gave the two students one last sad grin before leaving. Sans was es-cat-tic. He got to keep Mayo! Sound the party horns!

"Alright son, here is Mayo. Her chip has been updated, the bill was paid, a clean bill of health, and one happy kitty. I'll set up a bi-monthly check up appointment for you and text you the details."

"Thank you. Hey Mayo."

Said cat was purring and rubbing on Sans's leg. He laughed and lifted her to his shoulders.

"Ready to head back?"

"One sec."

Sans slipped Mayo's work vest into his bags in the trunk and hopped into the car.

"Now we're ready."
