Recap: "Yes, your life, in return for
small favor I can make you human again, something I know you want dearly."
How did he know I wasn't human? And could he really do it?
"What do you want from me?"
"I want the inter-dimensional transporter of course."
...
I met him at the same peer the next day at noon and I gave it to him, it didn't mean much to me anyhow, and being human was all I had wanted for the past seven years.
"Okay, stand still, quit twitching." Klarion instructed me.
"I am! Just cast your damned spell already!"
He looked at me and started chanting in some language I couldn't understand, and them poof, I felt...different...
"I don't suppose you have a mirror or something?" I asked him.
He conjured one up and handed it to me, and I looked at myself as a twenty-two year old for the first time. I didn't look that different, my eyes were still green and my hair was still black, but I looked older, all the baby fat was gone, my features were more defined and I looked tanner, but I think that one came from not being a vampire anymore.
I cried a little bit, "thank you so much! I know you only did it to get something from me but thank you so much!
"I wouldn't be that thankful, it only lasts during the day, at night you go back to being a teenage vampire."
I took a deep breath, okay this was bad, but not terrible, I could stay on the team, I'd still have to move out of the cave though. But I knew exactly where I'd move.

...
I dropped out of High-School and I hacked into the social security database (what can I say I'm super smart) and changed the info Batman had made on me, instead of being sixteen, I was twenty-two and instead of my last name being Greyson, it was now Black. I then moved to Blüdhaven and applied for a job at the BPD. At night I still slept at the cave, I didn't have money for my own place yet. I died my hair as well, it was now firey red and orange, only during the day though, when I turned back into a vampire at night my hair turned back too. A week later I started at BPD as the new partner of one Dick Greyson.
...
"So welcome to the force, I'm Dick Greyson, it's nice to meet you." He shook my hand and showed me around.
"Eleanor Black, it's nice to meet you as well." I beamed at him.
"So here's your desk, right now we have a new lead on the crime boss Blockbuster, I'm going down to Avalon to interview a witness, you're welcome to come with." He offered.
"Why doesn't your witness just come here?" I asked him.
"Between you and me, a few of the cops here aren't know for their ability to follow the letter of the law if you know what I mean." He said quietly.
I remembered then that Blüdhaven was known for it's corruption.
"Okay, I'm in."
We drove down in his car to a sketchy neighborhood a few miles from the precinct and walked behind an abandoned building. We waited for a minute and then something dropped from the building above us. It was a body.
"Is this your witness?" I asked him.
He went and checked for a pulse, when he found none he looked up and said, "yeah, this was my witness." And then he let out a string of curse words,
"I'll call the precinct, get some uniforms down here, any idea who did this?" I asked, pulling out my cell phone.
He looked at the body again and said,
"Yeah, probably a hired mercenary, presumably hired by Blockbuster, I really should have expected this, god dammit!"
I turned away and made the call.
...
Blüdhaven was a mess, it was corrupt and sometimes just plain scary. After about two months of working there I was just starting to get used to the ominous feel of the streets. I had finally gotten enough money to get my own place, which was very nice, and Dick and I had gotten a lot closer, we even saw each other when we weren't working, and I often caught him checking me out when he thought I wasn't looking. At night he avoided me when we were at the cave, and there were no more sparring sessions, which made me pretty sad, but my days with him made up for it.
I was in the cave one night, practicing my high kicks when Tim walked in.
"So you stopped going to school." He said to me.
"This was months ago why are you bringing it up now, and you just dropped your secret ID?" I asked as I brought my leg up and whacked the bag.
"Why did you stop going? Do you even live here anymore?" He asked me, ignoring my comment about his "secret" identity.
"Something came up, and no I don't live here anymore I got a job and I moved out and why did you just give yourself away like that?" I asked.
"You and I both know you already knew anyways." He stated calmly.
"And your not going to ask how I know?" I questioned him.
"I think you know all of our secret identities." He said.
I stopped kicking the bag and faced him,
"And why do you think that?" I asked him.
"I hacked your tablet." He replied.
"Of course you did." I looked at him questioningly.
"Your not from here are you." He phrased it like a question but stated it like a fact.
"No I'm not."
