Fuck this!

Today everything was going great and we had good plans for the whole day. But!
My dear Mehul was here so how could he let me live peacefully.

Every couple in the house went out to do something or the other. Except uss. We had to stay back. So we could take care of the house and the remaining people at home.

And what Mehul did was.

After breakfast

We have just completed our breakfast and all the guys of the family are going to our rooms to get ready for the day, while the ladies were discussing something about the dinner plan.

I was climbing up the stairs while thinking about what to do and where to go with Anvi.

The thing is I really want to do something with us. I want what everybody else has in this family but work is keeping me busy and I cannot find time for my plans.

I was busy in my thoughts but a sudden presence broke my train of thoughts or should I say plans.

"Hey brother!" Mehul said looking at me with that sweet smile of his. I know he's upto something.

"No!" But before he could say anything I cut him off not interested in listening to whatever he wants to say. He probably just wants me to babysit Vedit.

"Dude you didn't even listen to me!" He complained like a child.

"I don't wanna listen to you!" I said with an uninterested face.

" I'm telling you something that might just prove good for you!" He said trying to get my attention and we'll he was successful. I just leaned in closer to him.

"Look I know Anvi loves kids and all so why don't you just show Anvi how good you're with kids,huh! Like try to impress her." He suggested and after thinking over whatever he said, the idea wasn't totally bad.

Giving him a hi-fi which he obviously understood that I was agreeing to the idea he just gave me, I went to my room.

While I was changing into something I could wear outside, I heard the door to our room open and shut and then the soft padding of feet. These sounds made me smile.

"Hey! You inside?" She asked from outside leaning against the door. And yeah we have both developed the habit of not walking in the closet or the bathroom when the other one is in the room. But that was after an incident that happened few days after our marriage when she accidentally walked in on me changing, which obviously led to a lot of awkwardness.

"Yeahh! I'll take a minute at max!" I answered the question she had asked coming out of my self narrating mode.

"Well if you don't mind! Can we just not go out? We can stay at home and chill or do something else but I seriously don't wanna go outside." She suggested to which my lips lifted into a mischievous smirk.

As I was already dresses I decided to open the door and confront her.

"Well your idea isn't all that bad. And I'm especially excited for the 'something else' part." I said with a flirtatious smile and flicked her nose, you know like how Shahrukh Khan does it.

Corny much!

Giving her time and space I went out of the room to see that every couple was out in the living room ready to leave.

"Where are you all going?" I asked everybody standing there.

"Shopping"

"Movie"

"Brunch idk!" This was Mehul, he is usually very  confused about everything he does. It's always Meenal bhabhi who tells him or decides everything about their combined decisions.

"What are you doing?" Dad asked me, as all this time I was just nodding my head listening to whatever they were doing without adding something from my side.

"We are staying home!"

"WHAT! WHY?" All them shouted in unison.

"Well we are babysitting Vedit and Anvi does not want to go out so yeah!" I said shrugging my shoulders.

"So you guys should go as you'll have to come before dinner too!" I said shooing them out of the house.

After shutting the door, I went to the kitchen to get myself a glass of water.

"Did they all leave?" Somebody, no my wife asked softly just how she talks.

I just nodded as I still had water in my mouth and then turned to look at her.

She's so beautiful! I bet our kids would beautiful too. Just like her.

WHAT THE FUCK! What am I thinking! No, not the appropriate time to think about kids.

After all this I just realised that I was just looking at her like a fool. I need to stop.

"So.. what do you wanna do?" I asked rubbing my hand on the back of neck and going stand next to her.

"Idk.. should we like join Dadi and Manas and Shaurya in whatever they are doing.....or....we can watch a movie?"  She asked looking at me curiosly as if she was trying to see my reaction to whatever she said. But when my face went blank on the first suggestion, she just gave the second one.

" I like the latter better. Let's go then I'll bring Vedit and you go choose a movie." I said getting closer to her to which she backed towards the island.

"H-huh!" She said stammering a little. She's just so cute.

"Okay, I'm waiting!"  I just backed a little gave her a tiny casual salute walking backwards but turned when i could not see her.

Going into Dadi's room I saw Manav and Shaurya on the couch busy in their phones while Dadi was watching a TV serial, with Vedit in her lap.

Walking towards Dadi I smacked the back of Shaurya's head.

"Bhaiyaaa!" He whined loudly.

"Dadi, aap log apna Bhajan chalu karo me Vedit ko le jata hu! ( Dadi, you all start your hymns I'll take Vedit with me!)" I said and took Vedit with me who was happy to see me. He just started snuggling and smiling into my neck.

Going to my room I saw that Anvi had already selected a movie and was finding something in the closet.

"What happened? What are you looking for?" I asked standing at the door of our closet with Vedit, who was busy staring at the screen which wasn't even playing.

"Naah nothing! Let's go watch the movie!" She turned closing the cupboard and walking towards me.

Hearing her talk, Vedit's trance was broken and turned his head to her. "TWACHI!" he said excitedly and jumped out of my arms to hers.

She caught him and started spinning while hugging him close to her, it looked fun cause both of them were laughing. Seeing them laughing and happy a smile automatically adorned my face.
