What was that expression again?
Boys will be boys?

Over the course of a few days you started to notice very strange occurrences with Zim and Dib. Things kept smelling of deli meat that made you sick to your stomach, and Dib insisted you taste him because he was "delicious." This freaked you out a lot, and it made you miss some school due to a belly ache and vomiting that followed soon after.

However things got better. but as soon as you returned the next day to school you noticed that both of the boys you had come to know weren't at school. Weird. This puzzled you a great deal, so much so that you set out to investigate right after you returned home from school and ate your dinner. Riding your bike along, you began to hear a great number of barking. "What..?" You were soon stopped in your tracks as three dogs bolted past you knocking you off your bike. "What's going on here?" You asked yourself slowly getting back up rolling the bike with you at your side. As you continued to walk, an old house surrounded by just about all the dogs in the neighborhood came into view.

This was obviously no normal occurrence, but at this point what was normal? Making your way past the dogs, you found two lumps of meat sitting on a couch with very familiar voices. "You jerk." That's all you needed to hear to understood who and what this was. A plethora of different emotions hit you at once. First the sickening feeling that this particular deli meat had, the pure shock factor, then anger. "Okay, Y/N...it's okay, you've got this."

  Inhale

  Exhale...

Walking into the building was easy enough as the door was practically broken, and suddenly everyone started talking at once. Though, you didn't respond. All that was done was the two wads of meat the boys were, was picked up and attempted to be snuck away from the hungry canines. It took an effort for sure, attempting to fit them on your bike and ride away as a horde of dogs followed. Finally you had made it back home. "Hun?," your mother turned around to find your weary figure with two lumps of meat carried under your arms. "I-..." She didn't know what to say. "Why are there dogs on the front yard?" You didn't respond as you went to your room upstairs and placed the two figures on the floor gently.

Both of them continued to bicker, saying who you should save instead of the other, blaming this on eachother, etc. You only huffed in reply playing some music in your room as you got on your computer and attempted to look at ways to solve this on shady paranormal investigation forums. The process of solving the puzzle was not and easy one for sure, and it took you a good 4 hours with no rest what-so ever. Once they became back to normal, Zim instantly left not wanting to be there and Dib was the only one left afterwards.

"Look I'm-," he trailed off seeing your face which was laced with frustration and concern. Your expression softened a bit however seeing his sorry eyes. "I know...just...please be more careful." Things were awkwardly silent as the music from your speaker softly filled the room. Oddly it fit your situation a bit being Everybody wants to rule the world by Tears for Fears. "Well, I won't get in your hair anymore, I'll see you at school okay?" Dib replied softly, making his way to the door. You nodded a bit. "See you goober." You teased before he left smirking a bit, going down the stairs.

"Dib? When did you get here?" You heard your mother ask from downstairs and decided to just let it be. Quickly changing out of your bologna smelling clothes, you rested upon the bed looking up on the ceiling. It didn't occur to you how tired you were until you had actually taken a moment to figuratively step back. There was a lot of things that still crossed your mind, wether it be recently the bologna incident, Tix, and a plethora of other things.

Sometimes you'd think of living alone in a nice pasture with a dog-without a care in the world. You'd have apple trees, baked apple pies, and crispy leaves in the autumn. The only noise ever to distract you was the small creak close to your imagined home, harboring all sorts of life. It was those thoughts that often lulled you to sleep, and without much effort, you quickly fell asleep thinking of peaceful things for once.

(A/N: I know this chapter was very short but I thought I might keep it a bit short and to the point. Hopefully it's still enjoyable to you guys! <3)
