The conflict still remained in your head. What were you going to do? You couldn't just let him die, but at the same time he was the one causing this awful emotional ordeal. Knowing your selflessness however, if you were to let him die you would never forgive yourself. Even though that meant you could have your old life back, but then you figured this could be a way to stop his plan. You had a duty to fulfill and you were going to complete it.
You continued your Metal Gear Solid like sneaking around until the trunk of the Voot Cruiser was completely wide open from all the stuff Zim was filling in it. You took this opportunity to sneak inside hiding behind many of the alien looking boxes. "I'm really doing this..." you thought to yourself nervously hiding. As soon as Zim closed the door, everything went pitch black until a light with a purple hue turned on lighting the back very dimly. Before anything else happened you averted your attention to the box next to you. It was filled with various alien devices that intrigued you. You picked through the box examining each of the devices and putting the ones that seemed useful into your backpack.
Suddenly without warning, the sensation of going up hit. This must of meant the Voot Cruiser was preparing to fly into space. There was all things wrong with how you were feeling so you decided to play with some of the alien devices you found. Was it a smart idea? No but since you were basically as helpless as bringing a knife to a gun fight you decided to see what would prove useful. There was a laser gun looking thing, and you put that in the side pocket of your bag. You had never actually hunted before so you prayed that you didn't have to use it on anyone. You had a B.B. Gun, but you used that more as a way to look tough. You actually never even put ammo in it.
This was....a dumb decision to say the least.

Meanwhile back on earth, Dib paced back and forth in the hotel room constantly checking his device for a message from you. "Dib just sit down already. It's creepy and it's annoying me." Gaz said reading a book on the bed as her Game Slave rested beside her as it cooled down from the excessive playing. "Gaz it's important! The earth could be in danger, Zim could be rampaging the city! Y/N could be kidnapped, Brainwashed or destroyed!" Gaz groaned and slammed her book down. "Good grief Dib, shut up and have more faith in her. She's fine, just zip it or I will throw you out the stinkin' window." Dib sighed. "No offense to her anything but she's not emotionally in tune with the task at hand!" Not only was Dib just annoying Gaz, but he was also just being a bit of a jerk. Instead of arguing as she didn't really care to she just growled and picked her book back up ignoring her brother completely.

Part of you wanted to see space, but the other half of you knew you would panic so you decided it was best not to. Suddenly things came to a halt and you weren't moving. You took the initiative to hide before Zim opened up the back again and grabbed some stuff, then as he went to the front again to speak with Gir, you snuck out and nearly gasped at the sight. You were presented with a few options. There were three paths. One ahead of you, to the right and left, with bridges that interlocked in the middle. The planet/structure was almost dome like, with thick metal walls and a very airy atmosphere. It almost reminded you of the scene in Star Wars where Darth Vader and Luke Skywalker were fighting, but with more paths to choose and a tiny bit brighter.
Before Zim could go back to the trunk and see you, you decided to make your way to the left side speedwalking forward until it was possible to take a sharp left. As you finally made it, you hid behind the wall with the open corridor the path had led to. On the verge of leaving, you couldn't move anymore as you felt something grab your shoulder. The sudden grab made you almost scream aloud until they covered your mouth until you were silenced. You didn't breath just in case they had Chloroform but you quickly realized they didn't and sighed even though tensions were high. They eventually let go, and you turned your attention to them cautiously. "What are you doing here?!" They yelled whispered with a look of terror in their expression. The more you examined the person, the more you realized they weren't human. They almost looked goat like, with digitigrade legs, horns, tiny pale green eyes and light Lilac skin. You looked down to find a necklace with a shiny pendant around their neck as well.
"What are you?" They asked pacing back and forth examining you. "I-I'm a human, and I followed my alien friend here. W-well he's not really my friend but he's a very present figure in my life right now. I just-," The creature looked very puzzled by your rambling but not much. "You shouldn't have come here human female, it's much too dangerous! My comrades are all nearly dead and it's all because of the horrible people who live here!" Your expression changed from one of confusion to utter horror. "Dead, How?!" The alien looked at you with sorrow in his eyes. "My people were promised a bargain. And as soon as we got here no one was there. Quickly we tried to make our way to the meeting room but once we got there we were ambushed. They took the goods and annihilated my people. I'm the only left and I need to find an escape pod!" As he explained his eyes jittered assumingely from all the paranoia.
"Wait...They did the same thing to Zim! We have to stop him! He's going to get killed!" The alien looked at you with horror. "Human Girl we have to take his ship and make a run for it, otherwise we'll be murdered horribly!" You felt conflict in your gut. The same one from before when you decided to go or not. Man she was right when your mother claimed that history repeated itself awhile back. "Please, we have to get him! I can help you escape though." You pleaded putting your hands together. The alien's expression shifted to one of fear to hopelessness in a matter of seconds. "Fine. We'll go to the control center and shut off the power before they can do anything, but please tell me you at least have something to defend us." Your eyes brightened and you began going through your bag. "Y-yeah, yeah I got something hold on." You pulled out the gun and gave it to him.
"HA! Yes this is exactly what I mean. We helped design this gun you know.", "Really?"
"Wait, you are unfamiliar with our race?" You looked puzzled. "To be quite honest I haven't really seen anyone of your respective race before." He didn't look at all insulted but rather curious about you. "What is your name human child? I don't think you mentioned it." He looked up at you and it took you moment to snap out of you shock of absorbing literally anything that's going on right now. "O-oh, I'm Y/N." You said holding your hand out for a handshake. He took it as a sign of respect and shook your hand back. "I'm Tix. Pleased to make your acquaintance." He said smiling.
You were actually quite happy to find an alien who was pleased with your company, as the only other one you've met was a bit cold and harsh. "We haven't got much time, Come along now if you want to rescue your irken partner." Without hesitation, you went off to follow him to the control room to go rescue Zim. As the two of you continued on, you both made very friendly conversation. You explained a lot of earth's cultures and he explained a lot of Vort's. "Wait." He said putting an arm in front of you stopping you in your trail. "What is it?" You whispered hiding where he directed you to. "Guards. The control center is close but I don't know how we're going to get past them at this rate." You shuffled through your bags a bit. "Could we distract them?" You suggested as Tix's eyes lightened up at the idea you came up with. "Yes! But how so?"
You thought for a moment how you could possibly do something to distract them and you had an idea. As you stuck your hand through your bag you came across a large round object. "Sweet, a ball!" You said smiling showing Tix as he grabbed it gently examining it. "How do you plan to use this?" He asked wearily turning it around. "H-here I'll show you." You said grabbing it back and before you did anything, you put into account the possible landings and whatnot. You shifted your attention to the spot where you wanted it to land and focused intently until you finally took the throw.
The ball made a thunking noise which got the guards attention very quickly and they went into the other hallway almost immediately to see what it was. You and Tix silently ran to the door that they guarded and with the keycard Tix had, almost immediately you were let in silently without the guards noticing. "Here we are. The control room." You approached the many computer monitors and alien devices finding a possible way to help Zim. Before you could press a button Tix took your hand to avoid any hazards.
"We can't afford any mistakes." You nodded as Tix worked his magic on the computer. You looked up to find Zim walking down a long hallway determined to get what he was promised. "There he is!" You cried out a little too loudly by accident. Almost immediately after the guards came in with laser guns blazing. You grabbed the nearest metal circle thing that could possibly reflect but unfortunately you weren't quick enough to defend your comrade as he was shot directly in the ribs. "TIX!" You screeched before you lifted him up while grabbing your weapon for defense. "I can't do this I can't do this." You said cowering behind your shield tearing up.
With all the courage you mustered you aimed and fired at the guard. However luck was on your side and it worked almost like a in Star Trek where it stunned them instead. Being defense proved to be quite challenging but sooner or later you got cover putting Tix against the wall. "Oh my god I'm-," you choked on your own words looking at his wound. This was all your fault. You couldn't do this, it was impossible-"Y/N..?" Tix said grabbing your hand weakly snapping you out of your regret. "I..I- I don't know if I'm going to make it..." His breathing became labored and you began freaking out. "Tix please I can't do this alone I'm going to die alone," you sobbed out loud holding his hand tighter. "You can...you have shown great strength for a human girl. You're stronger than you know." You could feel your heart drop as you saw his smile that seemed in vain.
"B-but what about going home..?" You croaked out silently looking down sadly. "There's nothing for me on Vort. Everyone I love is gone....To be honest Y/N...I'm glad I'm here. You made for very good company. Please don't ever change..." And his breathing stopped. Things were silent for a moment as you stared at his corpse and tried to process what your comrade had said. "Well...here I am I guess." You said getting up holding up your weapon nervously. This was a loss that would haunt you for the rest of your life you thought to yourself shaking intensely.
"What would Dib do?"
"What would Dib Do?"
......
"What would I do?"
Then without thinking, your legs began to run to where Zim and Gir was from where you found them on the monitor. "ZIM!" You yelled out seeing him in your sights. He turned around and immediately looked disgusted. "Y/N?! What is your dirty human filth doing here?!" He yelled clenching his fists. "If you are here to stop my most evil and diabolical plan then it is too late. I REIGN SUPREME!" Your worried expression didn't shift as you continued to walk closer to him. "Zim, I'm not here to stop you. I'm here to save you! This place is a death trap. Please I'm begging you-,we have to go back." Zim's expression shifted from anger to amusement in a matter of seconds.
"You, Saving Me? HA! I don't need saving from a puny human-," but before he could finish he heard a laser gun firing up behind him presumably aiming at him. "Oh." Before anything else happened you charged in front of him bringing the shield up defending the two of you while you fired back. "Zim we have to free the prisoners, the control room is back there and if we were to blow this place up we could give the prisoners a way to go to the escape pods. "Why would I do anything you say?" He spat making you grow more frustrated and anxious. "Because I'm the girl with a phaser gun and a plan." You said not so confidently but enough to get the message across. Zim growled making his way back to the control room with you.
"O-okay, which one deactivate the doors?" You asked looking at him as he angrily typed in stuff in the computer. "There. They can escape themselves. Gir and I are leaving." Before you could argue you felt a sharp pain in your back and the sensation of electricity overrun your body. You let out a loud scream before passing out onto the floor back first. One of the guards had knocked you out with a electric staff device he was now armed with, which was new to say the least. Quick on his feet, Zim grabbed your phaser gun and fired back before pressing the self destruct button. "Come on Gir. We're going." Before Zim could go anywhere else, Gir started to scream loudly. "WHAT!?" He screamed back looking at Gir with impatience and anger. Gir began clutching your leg and screamed more until Zim snapped. "ENOOOUGH!" He looked down at your unconscious body and paused a bit. You did save him after all. This was weird though as no one had ever done that, only try to destroy him.
Zim sighed, "Stupid Humans, getting involved in foreign affairs." He muttered carrying you back the Voot Cruiser before the place was blown to bits. As he started up the ship and escaped, quickly enough the structure blew up behind him, leaving no more lives to be enslaved. The prisoners had luckily all escaped and stared at the ship far away drifting off back to earth. They figured that was the one that had saved them, to which they rejoiced going back home after so long.
You woke up feeling groggy, but the feeling soon passed as you jumped realizing you were in your own bed. Immediately you rushed to the window to see the sky filled with stars as if nothing ever happened. You checked the clock to see it was 7:00 pm and not late as you thought it was. Was it all a dream? You couldn't tell. That was until you found a small box on your desk with a strange symbol on the front. You opened it cautiously finding a necklace and a note. It was Tix's...the note simply read in scribbly letters, "Don't touch my stuff." You could tell it was from Zim.
A buzz came from your phone as you averted your attention from the box. Before anything you stored Tix's necklace somewhere safe before going to your phone to see what was up. It was a message from Dib that read:
"I'll be back tomorrow! Anything happen while I was gone?"
You could tell him about everything that happened with Tix, saving Zim and thousands of prisoners, but maybe Dib didn't have to know everything. You responded to his text smiling afterwards going off to hang out with your parents.
"Nope! Nothing all that much. See you tomorrow Dib."
