A few weeks have gone by since Muzan's defeat. Everyone's lives had changed for better or for worst. Nezuko's life in particular was changed. Now that no one was trying to protect themselves and each other against demons, love was beginning to enter their lives. Specifically hers.

Nezuko was happy living with her brother and two friends in the little house they called their home, but she had a bit of a problem. One of her close friends, Zenitsu in particular was persistent in making her his wife. His advances on her were coming in like a swarm of bees without any sign of stopping. Nezuko truly did care for Zenitsu, but she knew she could never make him truly happy by going with what he wanted. All she wanted was for him to stop staking all his happiness on her and look for another girl.

Not only was that a problem, Nezuko already had someone in mind. Since the day they first met, Nezuko never thought of having feelings for Inosuke. She figured that one of these days, Zenitsu would just force her to marry him. It was a pessimistic thought to think, but she didn't see any other way out. Tanjiro couldn't protect her from the boys forever. But as time went by, she started seeing the pig boy in a completely different light. Now when she was near him, her heart would start fluttering with happiness.

Nezuko: *Sighs*

Tanjiro: What's wrong, Nez? Is Zenitsu still worrying you? Don't fret. *Beats first* I'll talk to him.

Nezuko: No, it's not him, Tanj. 👉🏻👈🏻*Blushes* It's...something else.

Tanjiro: Something else, huh. *Sees blush* Sis, do you...like someone?

Nezuko: Uh! *Blushes even more* Well...maybe? It's kinda...embarrasing.

Tanjiro: Nezuko, if you have a crush then you shouldn't be embarrassed about it. We're teenagers. Crushing is what we do. Heck, we've been doing it before we were even teenagers.

Nezuko: *Sighs nervously*

Tanjiro: *Smiles gently* It's okay, Nez. You don't have to tell me who it is. A crush is your business and your business alone.

Nezuko: *Looks around anxiously, then whispers into Tanjiro's ears*

Tanjiro: (Shocked) Inosuke?! You like Inosuke?!

Nezuko: (Embarrased) Eh...shh! Shh! They're going to hear.

Tanjiro: Nezuko, we're the only ones here. Zenitsu's still at his grandfather's and Inosuke's in the woods somewhere.

Nezuko: Oh, yeah. *Scratches her head* I forgot. Wait, you're not going to see Inosuke are you?

Tanjiro: No, of course not. To be honest, I was rather startled when you told me he was your crush but why should I be? Usually Inosuke's a brute day and night, but for some reason he's gentle with you.

Nezuko: Hmm, I didn't think about it like that.

Tanjiro: *Smiles* Sure he's still the same Inosuke we knew since we first met him but I really do like how he treats you. You're never nervous and uncomfortable around him unlike when you're with Zenitsu. You really do like him, don't you.

Nezuko: *Smirks* I do.

Tanjiro: Nezuko, you're growing up so fast. Sooner or later, you're going to be eligible for marriage.

*Look, I know technically they could get married now, but just bear with me*

Tanjiro: *Smiles* If you do choose Inosuke, then you both have my blessing.

Nezuko: *Hugs Tanjiro* Thanks, Onii~Chan!

Tanjiro: You're welcome, baby sis. *Gasps* I'm suppose to see Kanao at this time. *Gets up and heads for the door* Inosuke should be getting back at this time. Do you think you're going to be fine without me, Nez? I'll be gone for a while.

Nezuko: I'll be fine. Have fun with your girlfriend!

Tanjiro: *Blushes, then leaves*

*Literally three seconds later*

Inosuke: *Opens door* Ahahahaha! That was great. First thing tomorrow again.

Nezuko could feel her heart jumping like crazy, but she wasn't sure if it was because Inosuke had scared her or if it was because she would be alone with him for a while. One thing for sure, Tanjiro was right. There's was nothing to be embarrassed about.
