It's finally the end of my shift. Am so exhausted and drained. Luckily I don't have to lock up tonight. I take off my apron and sign out and head outside of the cafe noticing its pitch black it's so dark.

As I made my way home, a shiver ran down my spine, a nagging feeling that I was being watched.

Suddenly, a voice shattered the silence. "Late shift, sweetheart?"

Not you again. I just want to go home.

Adrian casually strolled out from the shadows, a devilish smirk playing on his lips. He looked every bit the dangerous mobster he was, exuding an air of power and authority. He was dressed in a sharp suit, his shoulders broad and commanding, and his eyes gleamed with a predatory intensity.

"Didn't realise the cafe had such late hours," he remarked, his tone laced with a hint of mockery.

"Why are you here, Adrian?"

Adrian approached me, closing the distance between us with a confident swagger. His footsteps echoed on the empty streets, the sound adding to the sense of foreboding.

"Just making sure you get home safely," he said, his tone almost suggestive in its implications. "After all, a pretty little thing like you shouldn't be walking alone in the dark."

"Am a grown woman, I think I can manage."

Adrian chuckled, his eyes gleaming with a mix of admiration and arrogance. "Oh, I have no doubts about your strength or independence, doll," he said, his voice dripping with a seductive undertone. "But there are certain dangers in the world of darkness that not even the bravest of women can handle. Trust me, I know a thing or two about darkness."

Of course you would. You're one of them.

Adrian stepped closer, his breath brushing against your cheek as he spoke. "I have a feeling you're like a wildflower, Taylor," he whispered, his voice low and intense. "You may have thorns, but deep down, I know you crave the touch of someone who can handle you, someone who isn't afraid of your thorns. Someone like me."

"Yeah, right." I chuckled.

Adrian smirked, his eyes gleaming with a dangerous glint. "Oh, I love it when you laugh, doll," he purred. "But don't mistake my words for mere flirtation. I'm dead serious."

He stepped even closer, his body mere inches away from mine, the scent of his overpowering cologne filling my senses. "I know what you crave, Taylor, even if you deny it. You can push me away all you want, but deep down, you're just as intrigued as I am."

I hate this. I just want to be left alone. So what? If he's right. So what if he's wrong? I don't care. Yes am a little intrigued but am not letting him win. Not with me.

Adrian chuckled softly, his eyes locked onto mine with an almost predatory gaze. "I can practically read your mind, doll," he whispered, his voice a seductive low rumble. "You're more intrigued than you're letting on, and that's all that matters. And soon enough, you'll give in to that intrigue."

Great. He's reading my mind again. What is he? Surely a human can't do that...right?

He leaned in even closer, his breath warm against my cheek. "Trust me, I can make all your desires come true. But you'll have to let me in, darling. You'll have to give in to me."

He can't be human. I don't believe it. I don't believe in I don't know vampires, werewolves, or even witches etc but who am I kidding? I need to go to sleep am going crazy.

Adrian leaned in closer, his lips brushing against my ear as he spoke. "I like the sound of that, doll," he whispered, his voice laced with a primal desire. "Let me take care of you, and I'll show you a world of pleasure and power you never knew existed."

With a low growl, he suddenly spun me around, pinning me against the wall with his body pressing against mine. His hands held my wrists above my head, keeping me in place.

What the fuck?! Hell no! I try to escape but Adrian's grip tightened, keeping me pinned against the wall. He looked into my eyes with an intensity that sent a shiver down my spine. "There's no escaping me, doll," he whispered, his voice a low purr. "You're in my world now, and I'm not letting you go until you admit you're mine."

"Adrian! Let me go."

Adrian chuckled, a dark and seductive smile played on his lips. "You're adorable when you struggle," he whispered, his grip on your wrists tightening. "But you're not going anywhere until you give in. Your defiance only makes me want you more."

Well, I guess there's only one way to get out of this. Adrian doubled over, cursing under his breath as I delivered a swift kick to his groin. He gritted his teeth, his grip on my wrists slackening just enough for me to break free. Taking advantage of the moment, I made a mad dash for it.

Adrian grunted in pain and staggered, but he quickly regained his composure. "You'll pay for that, doll," he growled, a glint of determination in his eyes. He started after Adrian, his footsteps echoing through the empty streets.

Despite my best efforts to flee, Adrian's strides were long and powerful, and he gradually started closing the distance between us. His anger fueled him, driving him to catch me at any cost.

As I rounded a corner, I suddenly hit a wall. Adrian had cut off my path, standing before me with a predatory gleam in his eyes.

"Adrian, let.me.go."

Adrian's lips curled into a wicked grin, his gaze fixed on me with a chilling intensity. "You've got guts, I'll give you that, doll," he said, his voice low and commanding. "But you can't outrun me. I always get what I want, and right now, that's you."

"Leave me alone! You don't get me. That's the end of it!"

Adrian's expression darkened, and he stepped closer, his body pressed against mine. "You think you can defy me, hm?" he growled, his breath hot against my skin. "You don't understand, do you? I'm not just a man; I'm a predator, and you're my prey. And trust me, doll, the chase only makes it more exciting."

With a swift motion, he grasped my chin, forcing me to look into his intense eyes.

"Who are you really?"

Adrian's gaze burned into mine, his grip on my chin firm. "I'm the man who can make all your darkest dreams come true," he said, his voice a seductive whisper. "I'm the man who can give you power, riches, and pleasure beyond your wildest imagination."

His finger traced my jawline, leaving a trail of heat in its wake. "I'm the man who's willing to break down your defenses and claim your heart." He leaned in, his lips brushing against my ear.

"Adrian, no.. you can't just expect to have me. You have to earn it."

Adrian chuckled darkly, his breath hot against my skin. "Earn it, hm?" he purred, his voice laced with a dangerous edge. "You think you can resist me, doll? I'm a man who doesn't take no for an answer. And once I've set my sights on something, I never give up until I have it."

His hand slid down to my waist, pulling me closer.

"No." I push him away.

Adrian stumbled back slightly as I pushed him, a flicker of surprise crossing his face. But his expression quickly hardened, and he stepped closer again, his body pressed against mine. "You think you're the one in charge here, huh?" he growled, a warning seeping into his voice. "You're mine, doll, even if you don't realize it yet."

His hand grasped my chin again, tilting my face up to meet his.

I stomp my foot onto his and push him back again.

Adrian stumbled back again, cursing under his breath as I managed to break free once more. I quickly jumped into a taxi and shouted for the driver to start driving.

The taxi zoomed off, leaving Adrian standing there, a mixture of anger and determination on his face.

My breath is heavy but am slowly calming down. I give the driver my address and he takes me home.

Adrian watched as the taxi sped away, his jaw clenching in frustration. He stood there for a moment longer, staring into the darkness, his eyes glowing with a dangerous intensity.

Anger and desire coursed through his veins, his mind filled with thoughts of revenge and power.

"You can run, doll," he muttered to himself, his voice deep and menacing. "But you can't hide forever."
