~Jayy's P.o.V.~
Dahvie has been locked up in his hotel room for the past two weeks acting like a child over Jerrica's death. I understand what he is going through, but he has children to look after soon. Ellie and Xavier have been in the hospital for the past two weeks, because the hospital wanted to monitor them. Since Dahvie's been locked up in the room, I'm the one going and seeing my niece and nephew. Not that I mind, but it makes me sad seeing them the way they are.
When Jerrica died, her heart was still in good condition, so it was put on the waiting list, for people looking for a heart. The kids are way at the bottom, but I've been trying to get them both moved up so they would get the heart. The hospital said they might be able to be moved up the list, since it was their mothers heart. I was said that she had died, but it could help with the children.
I had taken a picture of the kids and showed them to Dahvie. Ellie had her mothers hair, but Dahvie's eyes, while Xavier had Jerrica's hair and eyes. He was so adorable. I was fortunate enough to get to see them as often as I have. Dahvie doens't want to see them just yet. They are due to get out of the hospital in two days, and like it or not, I am bringing them both home.
I knocked on Dahvie's door, trying to get him to come with me, but like always, I got no answer, and a bunch of sniffles. I walked away from the door, and got into my car. I drove to the hospital to see the kids. I had a very strong attachment to them already. They both liked me, and I loved them. Their tiny little hands would wrap around my pinky finger when I'd see them, and they wouldn't let go.
I pulled into the hospital parking lot and made my way up to their "room." I walked in, and the nurse tried to stop be from going back. She kept pushing me back, telling me that I didn't want to go in there. I shoved her away and ran into the room. I looked at the babies, and Ellie's chest was not moving. Tears filled my eyes as I realized that my niece was dead. I fell to the ground and cried for what seemed forever.
Someone came into the room and picked me up, setting me in a hospital chair. I looked up to see the babies doctor. She was telling me something, but I wasn't understanding a single word she was saying. She handed me a clipboard and I looked down. Since Ellie was now gone, she could do the surgery without needing the extra heart. I signed my name, letting her know she was aloud to do the procedure.
The doctor took off, and the babies were rolled into a surgery room. Two hours later, I'm holding both of the babies. Somehow, incredibly, Ellie had lived. They had tried putting Jerrica's heart into her, and she just, revived, or at least that's what I was calling it. The doctor told me that Ellie couldn't do too much exercise in the first year of her life, being for the fact that she had an adult heart inside of her. Her heart beat was to be monitored for the years to come, because if Ellie worked it out too much, she would most likely die an early death. I smiled down at my niece and nephew and was glad to see them both alive. I would never let them go. Never.
