I began this story years ago as part of a school project. It was a short little scene with Angelica and Prosper for writing class. I have always loved the story of Robin Hood and played around with so many retellings in my spare time. This story hit the spot. A girl with a big heart and an abusive father adopts a little girl and lives in the woods with her. A prodigal son goes off to party but lands up learning a life lesson. This story is a mash-up of the best parts of Robin Hood, The Prodigal Son, and the Good Samaritan. 

This story was the first I published on Wattpad, back in 2017. I took it down after six months and exactly 30 reads, half of which were just me editing. But now it is back and I am working on edits and placing the flashbacks in the right spots. I will try to make a note if I move or delete something pivotal.

This story does contain some mild violence as well as an abusive father. 

Main Characters

Angelica Roselin- the Mia. The townspeople refer to her as Mia which means the rebellious woman

Zacary "Zac" Holden-the prodigal son. Second son of the Duke of Averie
