a week after minjeong found out about jimin having a boyfriend, she was a mess. she skipped school, didn't wanna see her friends. ditched every call to whoever, friends, teachers, and even her parents. she just felt awful and horrible from what happened. she doesn't even eat anymore and just stays in bed for the whole week. minjeong's parents got worried and decided to visit her apartment that she's been staying.

together with her parents, minjeong's friends also went to visit her with them.
they got also worried with minjeong for how of an active student she was, turned out like this. she just suddenly disappeared and it made them wonder what happened to her. with a spare key from her mom, when they opened the door, a smell of rotten food greeted them and they immediately scrunched their nose. entering the flat, all they saw were trash from last week's take out order of minjeong and even saw the dishes undone.

"what the hell happened here..." minjeong's mom mumbled and proceeded to walk in, together with the others.

she softly called out minjeong but there was no response. aeri knocked on a door which was minjeong's room and opened it when she received no response.

when they saw the room, it was a mess. the blankets were all scrunched up, her desk filled with chip wrappers, and her clothes were all over the place. they searched for minjeong and didn't see any sign of the girl. minjeong's dad heard a faucet running and went out to follow the sound, the rest following him.

when he opened the expected room to be the bathroom, they were greeted with minjeong lying on the floor, head resting on the toilet with left hand filled with cuts and blood and her right hand having a grip with a cutter-blade.

they all screamed in horror and in shock at minjeong's unconscious body in front of them. minjeong's mom immediately ran to her and picked her up in bridal style and ran out of the flat. all of them went together to the hospital, all in panic and worry of minjeong's state.

a few hours have passed since minjeong's state discovery. aeri, is crying, ryujin is devastated, and lia is biting her nails due to how anxious they were with what will happen to minjeong.

all of a sudden, the doctor came out from the surgery room and they all stood up.

"miss kim's guardians?"

"yes, we're her parents." both of minjeong's mom and dad said in unison, a hint of panic in their faces.

"it was really a great timing you found her, she lost almost two liters of blood from the blood loss. her cuts were even way deeper than the normal. it may sound a little too harsh for you, but we concluded that she really wanted to end her life. we also processed a scan through her entire body and saw how her stomach was infected. we also came to a conclusion by how infected her intestines were, she did not consume anything for almost two weeks. we suspected that she is showing signs of depression, i suggest mister and misses kim that you'll have miss kim minjeong into a facility. she's really having a tough time." the doctor explained to both of them which led the two into tears.

"how could this happen? she's a very bright and lovely child. she even fights for whatever she wants in life, how can be?" misses kim cried and mister kim sat her down.

"that would be all." the doctor bowed and they returned.

as mrs kim was still crying, aeri approached them.

"auntie... we kind of have some explaining to do...?" minjeong's mom looked at them confused before aeri telling them the possible reason why minjeong turned out like this.

so aeri did explain to them. from how minjeong liked a certain girl to trying on pursuing her and to finding out the girl minjeong likes has a boyfriend. mrs kim was left in shock. she was clueless that her daughter liked girls. aeri also explained to them that minjeong is fully lesbian.

a few moments of explaining, a nurse approached them and told them that minjeong's room was now ready and ready to be visited. they followed the nurse which led them to a room that had two beeping monitors.

they couldn't help it. they cried at the scene. minjeong looked so weak. she became so thin to the point her bones are more visible than her veins. her breathing was also supported by an oxygen. her left wrist was also filled with plasters from the surgery. they really hope that she'll wake up soon.

two weeks passed by and minjeong is now awake. she woke up two days ago and they were in full joy. the moment minjeong woke up and realized she was alive, she went mad. she screamed and kept on shouting how they didn't let her die. it left all of her friends in tears. ryujin felt guilty the most. she knew all along but how come she did not bother asking minjeong? although aeri and lia kept on telling her it wasn't her fault, she can't help but take the blame.

minjeong is now in her room and her back resting on the headboard of the hospital bed. in front of her is a psychiatrist who is also from the same hospital. she interrogated minjeong, asked questions till she was satisfied.

as for minjeong's parents who was outside waiting, together with her friends for the psychiatrist to go out.

for almost 30 minutes have passed and the psychiatrist went out of minjeong's room. she sighed and her face is filled with worry.

"misis kim. i am so sad to deliver it to you that minjeong is suffering from severe depression. i will have her monitored with my team and with me. even until she recovers, we will still be monitoring her. she's really in bad shape. i hope we'll get her back soon. and please, do not let her out. especially putting sharp things near her. there could be high chances that she'll harm herself, okay?" the both nodded and bowed at the psychiatrist before leaving.

meanwhile minjeong at her room was only staring at the window, her mind going everywhere. not realizing she was already crying. of course she is aware that she's not feeling well and something is wrong with her, but after hearing the conversation with the psychiatrist and her parents, she can't help but think.... 'how come it ended this way?'

it was dinner time, around 8:14 in the evening. minjeong's parents let her friends go home for the mean time as they were always the ones who looked over minjeong.

both of minjeong's parents were walking towards her room. when they opened the door, they widened their eyes in horror.

minjeong was nowhere to be seen. her dextrose needle was left in bed, with the liquid coming out, indicating she was gone for a long time. the window wide open, wind gushing inside the room. they quickly ran towards the window to check but no minjeong.

they immediately went outside and called for her. they approached a nurse who was doing her rounds.

"hello miss nurse, have you seen the patient from room 119?" minjeong's mother managed to say as she was catching her breath.

"oh, patient number 119? yeah, i was the one who gave her medicine shot around fifteen minutes ago. she told me if it was okay to stroll around for a windbreak." they widened their eyes and thanked the nurse before rushing out the hospital.

they searched and searched with their eyes for minjeong's figure until minjeong's dad saw her.

"KIM MINJEONG!" he shouted and was about to go after her when he suddenly heard a crash, leading him falling into the ground. his wife guided him to stand up. that's when they noticed.

it was minjeong who went flying up in the air due to the car crash. the two screamed her name in unison and rushed towards her. they quickly called the hospital and a few nurses went in the scene and transferred minjeong inside.

as they were waiting for minjeong's surgery to finish, aeri, ryujin and lia came with them crying.

"what happened, auntie? where's jeongjeong?" aeri asked while remaining calm. mrs kim did not utter a word and just pointed at the surgery room. the three sat down and cried.

well, it took 3 hours for minjeong's surgery. the same doctor went out of the room and bowed to them.

"the surgery went well, no need to worry. i never expected to perform surgery on her twice. may i ask what happened?"

"she went out, saying she wanted to go for a stroll, said by a nurse. we shouldn't have left her or at least someone was watching her. gosh.." mrs kim said and covered her face with her palm.

"she's okay now, misis kim. no need to worry. though we still need to run more tests on her." the doctor bowed and left.

four days after minjeong's accident, and of course she's doing fine. she's got consciousness around 9am. she was staring at the window and her parents and friends came in to greet her.

minjeong furrowed her eyebrows, confused.

"jeongjeongie...? do.. you recognize us..?" her mom spoke, her voice trembling from holding herself to cry.

minjeong all of a sudden slapped her head, or more like ear.

"mom..?"

"yes yes, mom's here dear. what do you need?"

"i can't hear."
