"Are you sure you are ready to work right away?" Tzuyu curiously asked. She put on her apron.

I put on my apron as I walked in the cafe. When I finished, I went to the back counter.

"Of course," I faintly smiled.

"But you haven't had the chance to take a break yet. I thought you would've needed it." Chaeyoung came over and placed a hand on my shoulder.

"I don't need a break. I'll be fine." I reassured them. But deep down inside, I can't afford a break because of my family.

"Jeez Y/n. I don't know why you do this to yourself..." Tzuyu disappointedly sighed.

I shrugged at her and instantly went to the cash register.

"Today you will be meeting our new manager. She's really nice, and I am sure you will both work well together." Dahyun walked up to me and said.

"Hopefully, I am trying to get on the good side of the manager today." I chuckled as I crossed my fingers together.

Suddenly, the door opens, and I spot a girl I would say about 5'6? She is beautiful, and she has a confident, firm approach.

She walks behind the counter and walks towards me.

"Hi! Y/n, is it?" She said, smiling at me.

"Yes, that's me," I replied.

"Great, it's nice to meet you. I am your manager, but you can call me Rosé." She placed out her hand for me to shake as I shook it.

Something about her glance at me seems a bit... off? Almost like the same glare, Jihyo would give me.

"Hey, Y/n. Do you mind if you can stay over work for a bit? I want to get you situated in working here again. I heard you used to work here before." Rosé suddenly said as I nodded.

"Yeah, okay. I am fine with that." I told her as she nodded as well.

We all dispersed to do our own thing as I took orders from many customers. Towards the end of the day, all my friends left, and it was just Rosé and me.

"So, what would you like to show me?" I asked Rosé as she walked out of her office.

"Well, I noticed you seemed to have everything under control. So good job, you are quite the fast learner." Rosé kindly complimented me.

"The real reason I asked you to stay for sometime is because I just wanted to get to know you better." She admitted as she took a seat on one of the tables. I followed after her and sat across from her.

"Y/n, were you born here?" She asked, eager to know more about me.

"Yes, I was born here in Korea. How about you?" I asked her.

"I was born in New Zealand," My eyes widened by her response.

"You seem surprised." She giggled at me softly.

"Yeah! I have never met anyone born in New Zealand before! Can you please tell me more about it?" I curiously asked as Rosé was smiling largely.

"Sure," She replied before talking about her childhood in New Zealand.

"But, the main reason why I moved to Korea is that I had a dream I wanted to follow." Rosé admitted as she seemed to be picturing her dream in her head.

"Wow... were you ever able to achieve that goal?" I wonder what it's like to be able to follow one's dreams.

"Haha, you're funny." She laughed softly at me.

"I haven't, as you can tell, I am a manager in a cafe." She smiled, but I could tell she wishes for more in life.

"What was your dream after all?" I asked.

"I wanted to become an actor or a performer." She admitted, which surprised me.

"I believe you can do it!" I excitedly cheered her on as she chuckled.

"Thanks, Y/n. You are really sweet. You know that, right?"

"And you are super easy to talk to." I admitted as she couldn't help but grin.

We continued talking for a bit, getting to know one another better. I somehow ended up talking about Mina to her. She understood how hard it must be for me, and she promised to help me distract myself from moving on from her.

She's incredibly kind. It's nice to have a manager like her.
