Isabelle's pov
We silently walked up the stairs to my house.
"Thank you Ethan" I whispered.
He just smiled at me.
I quietly opened the door and snuck in.
"Bye Ethan" I said.
"Bye" Ethan whispered, so he wouldn't wake anybody up in the house.
I shut the door and wandered to the kitchen.
I can't believe what just happened.
I flicked on the light and jumped.
Dad, Julie and Addy were sitting at the table, staring at me.
"How'd it go?" Julie asked.
"Did he hurt you?" Dad asked.
"No-no he didn't hurt me. Actually, just the opposite. We're... dating now" I smiled.
Dad let out a breath.
"Good, because I was going to kill that kid" dad laughed.
Addy stormed off. I don't know what's gotten into her lately. She's acting strange.
"I'm tired, so goodnight" I walked into my room and flopped down on my bed. Soon enough, I fell into a deep sleep.
I woke up to a text.
"I'm back bitch".
Who is this. Wrong number maybe?
"Who is this?" I sent.
"Doesn't matter... I'm going to make you pay for what you did"
"Payton?"
"You guessed it bitch"
"What the hell do you want!"
"Only to make your miserable life, a living hell"
"How can you do that? You still live in Cali"
"Watch bitch! Just watch".
I left it at that. Payton? After seven years? What can she do to me when she's in a completely different country than me?
Flashback:
"Hey Payton!" I smiled at her across the hallway of the school. She waved back. For some reason, she's talking to the popular girls. Payton used to be one of them, but then she became friends with me. I haven't been bullied since she came into my life.
The bell rang. I walked to class and sat in my usual spot.
Payton walked in and completely ignored me as she passed by her normal desk... she sits beside me. I frowned.
Payton kept walking to the back. Well then.
Lunch:
"Hey" I said and sat next to Payton. She scooted further away from me.
"Are you ok?" I asked.
"No actually I'm not. You keep following me around" she glared at me.
"What? You're my best friend" I said.
She rolled her eyes.
"Being friends with you was the worst thing that has ever happened to me. You know that I don't back down from dares" she smirked.
"You didn't.." water formed in my eyes.
"I did. It was a dare. I don't give a shit about you. Look at you! You're a pathetic little loser" Payton laughed.
I ran out of the cafeteria crying.

That hurt me so much.
"Ding dong" the doorbell went.
I ran to the door and opened it.
My jaw dropped and I gasped.
"Like I said, I'm back bitch" Payton smirked at me.
