Danielle Serano

I looked at my calendar and tried to take a deep breath. My period was supposed to come 3 days ago but it's not coming. I was trying be as calm as possible.

I called my secretary to buy all the pregnancy test brands out there. I'm nervous and Declan will come home tonight from Milan.

"Mrs. Serano, I tried to get every brand. I bought about 17 test packs."

"Thanks, Gia." I said as I grabbed the plastic bag from her.

"Is there anything else?"

"No, you can go back to the office." I said and quicklt went upstairs to my room. I peed in a paper cup and started do all the pregnancy test. I'm starting to get a little nervous. I locked the door to my bathroom and put a timer for 10 minutes until all the pregnancy test will have their results on.

My phone rang and I walked to my vanity.

It's Declan.

"Hey beautiful, what are you doing?" He asked.

"Hey, I was just.. I was just.."

"What? Did something happen?" He asked.

"No!" I said before he get panic.

"Nothing happened. When will you come home?"

"Danielle, you sound so suspicious. Do you know that?" He asked.

"I'm fine." They I gasped when I heard my time went off.

"Danielle, did something happen?" He asked again.

"No. It's just.."

"It's just what?"

"My period is late and I was testing if I'm pregnant or not." I said and there's a silent all of a sudden.

"Declan?"

"I'm sorry, I put you on mute for a second. I just ended the meeting and I'm going to the airport now to go home! What's the result?" He said as I heard him panting.

I unlocked the door and walked in slowly. I'm so nervous and my heart is racing.

"I'm nervous."

"Me too." He said and I grabbed the nearest pregnancy test. My eyes widen when I saw two lines.

"Oh my god!" I started to cry.

"Positive?"

"Yeah!" I cried.

"Danielle! I wish I could hug you right now!" I looked at all the other pregnancy tests and it all came positive. I was crying, squealing and just.. going nuts.

"Come home please.."

"Baby, I'm already on my way to the airport. I see you soon!" He ended the call and I decided to call my father.

"Yes, Danielle?"

"Father."

"What? Why are you crying? What happen?" He started to panic.

"I'm pregnant."

"Oh! Congratulations! Oh my god! This is a such a great news!"

"I know."

"I'm flying to Paris right now!" He ended the call. I dialed Mikhela's number.

"Yes, my darling?"

"I'm pregnant!" I said and she squealed through the phone.

"Alejandro! Alejandro! Danielle is pregnant!"

"Danielle!" I heard Alejandro calling my name.

"This is such a great news!" He said.

"I know, I'm so happy right now!"

"We'll go to Paris tomorrow morning!" After I ended the call, I sat on the bathroom floor looking at all of the pregnancy tests. I can't even believe my eyes. It felt unreal.

I was so happy to the point that I didn't even move an inch. I just kept looking at it as I'm waiting for Declan to come home.

"Danielle!" I turned to see Declan standing at the bathroom door. He slowly walked in as he looked at all the pregnancy tests on the floor. I got up and showed him one. He looked at it and then he turned to me.

"I'm going to be a father." He said and he pulled me into a hug.

"Yeah, you are. You're going to be a great father." I said and he pulled away. He gave me a peck on my lips before squating down looking at all the results one by one.

"I already booked a doctors appointment on my way her. Let's go to the hospital." He said as he got up.

"Huh?"

"We need to check it right away." He said as he grabbed my hand. He led my outside and he gestured me to wait. He walked into our closet and grabbed a jacket for me.

"Let's go.." He said. He drove us to the hospital and then he checked his phone again for the appointment. We got out and we walked in hand-in-hand.

"I'm nervous.. and excited."

"Me too.." He said and he gave me a peck on my cheek. We went up to the see Dr. Serena Clements because Declan said according to his secretary, she's one of the best gynecologist out there.

We waited for our turn and I know we are able to get a private doctor for this but I guess Declan was just trying to find the best doctor for me. I'm not complaining at all.

"Mr. and Mrs. Serano." The nurse walked to us not trying to get attention from the public by calling our name out loud. We followed her into the doctor's office.

Once we got into her office, Declan stopped for a second when she saw her. That made me question his actions because usually he doesn't bother about any other women.

"Good evening, Mr. and Mrs. Serano. Please sit down." She said and we both sat down in front of her. She suddenly got called by a nurse and she excused herself for a second.

"Did you know her?" I asked completely jealous because it looked like he knew her.

"I don't know her but I'm pretty sure Damien knows her. I saw her with Damien back in Andorra 2 weeks ago." Oh.

"Oh I thought you knew her, I was about to throw hands." I said and he turned to me.

"I never knew you're so violent." I glared at him and Dr. Serena walked in again.

"Sorry for that. Should we get started?" She smiled.

"Sure." I said and she led me to lay on the bed. She asked me to lift up my shirt and she started applying some gel. She started scanning and I looked at the screen.

"It seems that you're on your early stage, Mrs. Serano." She said as she pointed at a small dot.

"How many week?" Declan asked.

"4-5 weeks." She said and I can't help but smiling widely. I turned to Declan and he was looking at the screen completely starstruck. My eyes landed on Dr. Serena's seat. There was ultrasound photos cumbled, I doubt it was a patients ultrasound photos because I know a doctor wouldn't do that.

"Here you go, Mrs. Serano." She gave me a print out of the ultrasound.

"I don't feel any sickness yet, is it normal?" I asked as she wiped the gel from my stomach.

"Yes, it's actually okay. You will experience it a little later, you're still on your early stage so there won't be any problem with that." She smiled as she grabbed my hand helping me to sit up straight.

"Is it scary?" I asked and she turned to me.

"Scary?"

"Yeah, going through pregnancy."

"No, Mrs. Serano. It won't be scary, it will be the best feeling ever once your kid is born."

"Do you have a kid, Doctor Serena?" I asked.

"Yes, I do." I turned to Declan and he gave me a nod. She gave me a lot of recommendations on what to eat and what not to eat. She even gave me some tips if I have back pain later on. Declan asked a lot of things too.

"Thank you so much, doctor." I said as we both got up from our seat.

"You're welcome, Mr. and Mrs. Serano. Hoping the best for your pregnancy." She smiled and then we walked out. I kept looking at the ultrasound photos as we're going home.

"Looks like a bean." I said.

"Looks cute already." Declan commented. When we arrived at the house, I saw two boxes sitting in the living room.

"Declan, what is that?"

"Books.."

"Books? Why did you buy a lot of books?" I asked.

"It's about kids and pregnancy, I have to study." I turned to him and chuckled.

"You're unbelievable!" I said and he opened it.

"Declan."

"Hmm.."

"About Doctor Serena, earlier.."

"Yeah why?"

"What do you about think her and Damien relationship?" I asked and Declan turned to me.

"When I saw them, they looked like someone who is not in a good relationship. They hate each other for sure."

"Really?" I asked.

"Seems like it. Why?"

"I don't know, it's just I have this weird feeling.."

"I guess your pregnancy symptoms are coming now.." I threw a pillow at him.

"Don't make me smack your head!"

"I wish my kid will have my temper, amen."
