Many have you been asking, Where tf is Jiang Cheng? Why isn't he involved?! How could the search be cut off!? And How does Jin ling's disappearance affect him? Well you're about to find out! )

Narrator's POV

Jiang Cheng stared at the blood that was all over the ground... It was Jin Ling's. He ignored the yelling between Jingyi and Sizhui, he kneeled down and grabbed a fabric of Jin Ling's robe.

' Jin ling ... '

Jiang Cheng gripped onto the cloth and stood up. Xichen noticed Jiang Cheng griping the fabric and went to him, placing his hand on his shoulder, " We'll find him... I promise " Xichen said to him. Jiang Cheng looked at Xichen and nodded but didn't say anything.

Days turned into weeks and weeks turned into months they searched and searched for Jin ling. But nobody could find a clue to where he was... It was like he vanished. When Jiang Cheng tried to get into LanLing Jin, they had closed off their borders and refused to allow anyone inside. Jiang Cheng nearly started a war to get inside but thanks to Xichen he didn't and unfortunately had to turn away. Jiang Cheng fell into more depression than he already had from past trauma and the death of his family.

Jiang Cheng walked around Yunmeng feeling lifeless. Everyone in Yunmeng was very worried about their Clan leader. He had become more ruthless, more uncontrollable, and could hardly do his work. It was like being near a time bomb and not knowing when it will go off. Sometimes he wouldn't eat nor sleep, when he closes his eyes he could only imagine what happened to Jin ling... Why.. why did it have to be his nephew? What did he ever do? Yeah he was spoiled, and he acted like him but he was a good kid if you got to know him. Deep down he just felt alone... Just like him.

Jiang Cheng walked to the pier and looked at the lake. Hours passed as Jiang Cheng sat there looking into the lake tears slowly fell on his face as the moon shined brightly, causing the lake to look like it was glowing. " Jin ling would have loved to see this " Jiang Cheng muttered looking at the moon as he sat down at the edge of the pier He didn't know how he ended up in his room but he didn't question. He just wanted Jin ling to come home.

One week later The meeting

Jiang Cheng's POV

' why the fuck are they having a meeting when Jin ling is missing?!' I scoffed feeling irritated. The meeting is supposed to be held in Gusu. I didn't want to go at first but the invitation stated they had information on Jin ling .

At Gusu, Cloud recesses

Once me and my men get to the gate, we were met with Clan leader Xichen waiting for us at the entrance.

" Clan leader Jiang " Xichen said bowing down in respect. He looked worried, stressed, and tired but tried to act normal but I could tell with the slight eye bags under his eyes . " Clan leader Xichen," I said bowing in respect as well. " I heard this meeting is about Jin ling, did you find any leads? " I say calmly. " No, I am also in the dark as much as you are. " Xichen said in an apologizing tone. I nod as Xichen allowed us into Cloud recesses and towards the meeting room, not knowing that the alliances I thought I had would betray me.

Narrator POV

Xichen walked with Jiang Cheng towards the discussion room but took a glance at him, he could see the black rings under his eyes, his skin was ghostly pale and he looked skinnier than he did before.

Xichen wanted to ask him why he was torturing himself like this, he wanted to hold him and tell him that everything was going to be ok, but Xichen knew better, ever since Jin ling has gone missing, everything has been flipped upside down.

Sizhui has been very distant and his temper is starting to get out of control. Causing many of the others are worry. Now Jiang Cheng looks like he could faint in exhaustion, but when it comes down do it Jin ling is more like a son to him than his nephew. His only blood-related family is missing, he may hate wei ying but being abandoned and alone again creates more weight on his shoulders than it did in the past bringing back fear that Xichen never wanted Jiang Cheng to wear on his face again.

Xichen on the other hand was something different, Xichen was searching every day with Jiang Cheng in search of Jin ling but to no avail they found nothing but that didn't stop him from trying. Once they got to the door Xichen and Jiang Cheng entered together, kinda dramatic too. Jiang Cheng looked around to see everyone here, " Let's begin the meeting " Xichen said as he walked to his seat as Jiang Cheng and his men did the same.

As Jiang Cheng sat down he felt a sense of dread in his stomach as he scanned the room looking at different faces as he placed his mask on hoping that he was wrong about this feeling .

3 hours later

He wasn't wrong...

Jiang Cheng stormed out the room feeling anger and frustration. Why? During the meeting, many of the other leaders suggested and voted they will stop the search due to them running out of supplies and wasting their time over a spoiled brat!!. It disgusted Jiang Cheng to the point that he couldn't stand being in the same room as them.

He knew they wouldn't help find Jin ling for long but he didn't think they should say he died to save their own skin , now that just crossed the line, as Jiang Cheng stormed out Xichen excused himself to go followed after him, even he was angry but he would keep it down if it means he could calm Jiang Cheng down from destroying everything in site.

Xichen walked after Jiang Cheng not saying anything as they neared the exit of Gusu. Jiang Cheng got on sword and flew away in silence. Xichen followed without much thought. They flew for a while( probably like 2 hours ) before they flew back and Jiang Cheng official back to Yunmeng with men not saying a word to anyone as he left not knowing Xichen vowed that he would keep looking for Jin ling.

Arriving at Yunmeng

Once they arrived at Yunmeng Jiang Cheng sealed himself in his room, none of the servents went near the room due to the noises, which your wondering what noises? Well Jiang Cheng had destroyed his room in his fit of rage, he didn't know how long he destroyed the room or known he had hurted himself ( I feel like Jiang Cheng in a fit of rage would go to the nearest source which would be his room not wanting to hurt others when he's not in the right mindset) as night fell upon Yunmeng, Jiang Cheng had fallen to his knees exhausted.... He felt so tired.... Why did everyone he ever love bring them pain and suffering... And just thinking of what Jin ling would be going through.... It pained him... He had finally broken down, screaming holding his head. At that very moment Jiang Cheng had changed.... He cried until he couldn't anymore and sat in the destroyed room as he saw a portrait of A-Jie in a scroll that had fallen open... She was holding Jin ling with a smile on her face....

Jiang Cheng had learned that he couldn't trust the sect of the other clans after it had went world wide of Jin ling being dead.... They even had the adasty to have a funeral for him.... The only person he had faith in was unfortunately Nie Huaisang and Xichen.... They were the only ones he trusted. He would find Jin ling until his last breath... But for now.... He had to pretend to move on.
