I lost track of time in the Infinity Castle. It felt ages, hours, days, weeks, centuries, years, seconds, minutes...

I don't even know if I'm going to make it out alive.

I'm hungry as well. Very. But I can't eat human flesh. I must not.

As I opened a door, I found an indoor garden with fruits. Lucky, I thought as I grabbed an apple and bit into it hungrily. The sweet juice instantly leaked into my mouth as I ate even more apples, pears and my favourite fruit, (f/f).

"I wonder why demons are carnivores when they can be herbivores." I whispered as I grabbed a wooden basket laying around and filled it up with different fruits, (f/f) taking up 50% of the basket.

Taking in a deep breath, I grabbed my basket, pushed opened another door and barged through it to meet...

I'm outside...?

I'm...outside!! I REALLY AM OUTSIDE!

I escaped! I thought as I ran to my base. There, I found Aki sleeping in my bed...crying? "Aki..." I muttered and she jolted awake.

"Caw! (Y/N)! You've been gone for a day, caw! And now you're a..."

"Shhh...Don't tell anyone that I've become a demon. Listen here, I want you to go to the master and report that I fought Uppermoon 1 and died. Then, I give you two option, follow me to defeat him in secret by requesting to retire, or stay in the corps. Alright. You can leave now." I told her as I held back tears and gave her a sad smile.

She sadly nodded her head and flew away. Sighing, I packed up the base and grabbed an elegant blue cloak decorated with golden thread that I always had and threw it on. I looked out of the window to find out it was day. I frowned but it was replaced with surprise and happiness as I realised the plant I had taken care of...

Now, I can finally set off to defeat the demon king,

Kibutsuji Muzan.
