- Flashback

You slowly tried to stand up, but you were guided back down onto the ground by the hands of the red headed fairy.

"His hands are soft...", you thought to yourself.

"I appreciate the compliment.", Gloxinia said while smiling innocently. You made a "Tch" sound while turning away and crossing your arms. "Don't just read some stranger's heart!"

"Awh, are you made at me~?" Gloxinia teased.

"Who even are you?!"

Your POV

I was sitting by the same cliff that I was on the day before, just thinking. That's something that I quite liked to do; just... sit there. And think.
I would usually sit at a place similar to this one, at the edge of the Fairy King's Forest, with Gloxinia. We would sit there together and talk to each other. I did, truly, miss those  days.

Todays hunt wasn't as good as yesterdays, but it would have to do. We were getting ready to travel around the entire continent, and we needed to stock up whatever we could get our hands onto.

When I first stumbled across the tavern, I was traveling around and I was in need of quick money (debt is an amazing thing), and Meliodas gladly gave me a job and decent pay. All I needed to do was what I'd been doing my whole life: hunting. I ended up meeting the new fairy king, Harlequin, as well. But Meliodas could tell exactly what I thought of every time I saw the new fairy king. . .

All it did was make me miss the first fairy king more.

I opened the door to the tavern, walked across the room and slammed the bag full of meat down onto the bar table. Meliodas turned around to face me and flicked a gold coin in my direction, which I caught and slid into my pocket.

"Keep up the good work!" Meliodas exclaimed as he walked over to Elizabeth to start groping her.

"Meliodas, take your dirty hands off of Elizabeth!" I yelled and ran over to pull him off of her.
"Heh. Worth it," he whispered, but to his dismay it was loud enough for me to hear. Let's just say now he's going to have to fix the window that he was thrown out of.

"Sir Meliodas!", Elizabeth cried out while running out the door to go make sure he was okay. I let out a "Tch" noise and barely turned around before I heard a voice.

"Still arrogant as ever~", the voice said. Gloxinia?

I stood there stunned for a moment, just standing there, frozen in place. I looked around, trying to figure out where the voice came from.
No... that can't be Gloxinia. He died three thousand years ago.
I pondered for a moment.
Technically, I didn't really see him die. . . He just. . . Flew away.

I stifled a sigh and broke out of my trance, looking around the room to see Meliodas, who was groping Elizabeth again.
Greeeaaat.

I stomped over to Meliodas and picked him up by his shirt, while he just laughed nervously.

"Lady/Sir Y/N! Please put Meliodas down!", Elizabeth cried out, keeping her distance from me.
Everyone else in the room just laughed at Meliodas, while he pouted in my grasp.
"Alright, fine," I said while putting him down. Suddenly, Ban threw his arm around my shoulder, and exclaimed something that sounded like a bold remark, but in the end it was just wordless rambling.

. . .Guess he's drunk.

He shoved a bottle of ale in my face.

Eh, what the hell.

Long story short, I chugged five bottles of alcohol.
