[SUMMARY OF PREVIOUS CHAPTER:
Y/N is trying to spend time with Techno, but he's been really weird and distant. The voices have been getting really hard to suppress and Techno isn't having a very fun time dealing with them. Y/N goes to check on Techno when they hear crashing from upstairs, and he almost attacks Y/N. The voices are mostly in control, and they get upset at Y/N for being like 'Tommy' (Techno's insecurities are showing) and they say they've been denied blood for so long. Techno then does a small little violence (b*ting) and then some graphic sippy of red liquid. Once the voices are satisfied, Techno returns to normal and is horrified with what he's done. He breaks down and tried to explain what happened, and Y/N comforts him. Techno feels awful for what he's done, but Y/N forgives him and says they didn't mind. Y/N is very tired from the blood loss and from being woken up by Techno's crashing around, so Techno allows them to sleep in his bed (more comfortable than the couch) and Y/N gets him to cuddle with them. Techno and Y/N fall asleep together and it's very wholesome right after the angst teehee.]
Anyways, onto the next chapter!
(A/N: Remember that I am only writing about the characters, not the actual people. I respect the real people, and their relationships. Please do not 'ship' real people, as most of them are not okay with that, understandably. I am not okay with shipping real people, as sometimes it can cause damage. This is my personal opinion, and I thought I would just mention again that I'm writing about the fictional characters.
This chapter includes some stuff about Tubbo and Ranboo's relationship. I don't actually ship the real Tubbo and Ranboo, only the characters (beeduo is so cute!!) I know in the actual canon storyline of DreamSMP, their marriage is platonic, but I want to build in a slight romantic feel to it. I also don't always stick to the exact lore anyways so like... :|
Anyway, please stay respectful. Thank you.)

(tw: violence, blood, suggestion of being drugged, death, being bound, angst, swearing, oh boy that's a lot of trigger warnings guys it's about to get SPICY)
(Technoblade's POV)
Technoblade was panicking. Only a little.
"Oh gods what am I going to do." He mumbled, quickly slipping as many different potions onto his belt as he could.
Y/N clipped a shoulder pad onto the rest of his armor. It had a wither skeleton skull design emblazoned on it.
"Hey, don't worry, it'll be fine. You're a great fighter, I'm sure you can beat them."
Technoblade glanced at Y/N. She seemed so confident in him.
She was busy with helping him put on his armor, and didn't meet his eye. He gazed down at her, a small smile on his face. He felt some weird feeling, one he hadn't really felt before. He had felt it a few times around Y/N, and had never really taken notice of it.
OOOOOHHH... technos in love... E... guys wait what about the butcher army...aww techno and y/n sitting in a tree...e... AAAHHHHHHHH...lmao...BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD...
Right! Techno had totally forgotten about the Butcher Army on it's way to probably kill him for a second. Y/N clipped a chestplate onto him.
Technoblade decided to ignore the rest of the comments the voices were burbling that wasn't about his impending doom.
"There. Finished." Y/N looked proudly at the job she had done getting Techno into his armor. The Piglin hybrid smiled.
"Good job." Technoblade praised, staring at her like a enamored child.
"Can you help me get into my armor?" Y/N asked, gesturing to the extra set of enchanted netherite armor Technoblade had made. Panic washed over Techno.
"You can't possibly mean you're going to join the fight?? You could get hurt!" Technoblade shook his head, fearing the worst. The voices were all worried now, afraid Y/N might get hurt.
"I can handle myself in battle. I'm almost as good as you!" She protested, crossing her arms.
Technoblade rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly.
"I've been going easy on you..." He lied. He knew perfectly well that she would be able to beat anyone who was coming to kill him, but he was still nervous.
Y/N looked a little injured. "Is it because I'm a girl? Is that it? You think I can't do it?"
Technoblade was shocked, "No! That's not it at all! I don't know why anyone would ever think that!" He cried, a tiny bit outraged, "I would never think anything like that." He declared.
"Then what is the reason?" Y/N said skeptically.
"Well..." Technoblade looked away, a slight blush on his cheeks, "I'm just worried about you. I don't want you to get hurt. I worry about you a lot. If you got hurt because of something people are after me for, I'd never forgive myself." He nervously glanced down at his gleaming purple boots.
Y/N didn't say anything.
Technoblade looked back up at her, afraid he might have hurt her feelings.
However she was snickering quietly to herself, while reaching for the armor.
"Heh, c'mon. I'll be fine. Now help me put this on."
Technoblade stood with his mouth open slightly, before sighing and reaching towards her to help her put on the netherite. There was no talking her out of this.
Soon she was wearing the full set of armor, and Techno had to say she looked fairly good in it.
"Wow, this is my first time wearing full netherite." She looked down at the armor in awe. "I feel like I've just accomplished something..."
"Really? You've never worn full netherite?" Technoblade was surprised. Almost everyone had a full set of netherite. Well, Technoblade had multiple sets of netherite, but he knew other (poorer) people had less than that. The voices were now talking about how poor Techno was.
"Yeah. Before I met you I didn't know how to fight. I couldn't explore on my own at all..." She sounded sad, "I never needed any armor. I was never in any battles." She continued, staring darkly down at the floorboards. "I was kept away from all that. Now I know why..." She turned to go get her sword and sheath from off a hook on the wall.
"Why's that?" Technoblade had a feeling she didn't want to talk about it, but he also knew it was important for people to talk about things, and it seemed like whatever this was, it was still bothering her.
"Dream. Dream kept me away from all the fighting. He never taught me how to fight."
"Oh." Technoblade felt bad for asking, it seemed to be a sore subject.
"He wanted me to stay weak, I bet." She muttered angrily, "So if I ever figured out that he was manipulating me and using me, I wouldn't even be able to do anything."
Technoblade tried to meet her eyes, but she didn't look at him. He felt awful for asking about it.
Dream had also done this to Tommy, as far as Technoblade could tell. Dream had made Tommy think that Dream was his only friend, but he had done really mean things to Tommy.
Technoblade strongly disliked Dream.
"But, hey, I can fight now. So it's all good." Y/N sighed, and pulled Dream Catcher out of it's holder to observe it.
"Ah, okay." Technoblade didn't know what to say. He went over to a chest and pulled out some golden apples and ender pearls.
He heard the familiar shink noise of a sword being re-sheathed.
Techno headed over to his ender chest, and reluctantly pulled out a totem of undying, carefully stowing it away. He felt a little bad hiding it from Y/N, and he ought to have given her one as well. However he probably wouldn't even end up using it, it was just a precaution.
He then headed over to the kitchen to grab a few steaks. He headed back to the living room to where Y/N was.
"Here." He held out a steak for her to take. She tilted her head.
"What's this for?" She asked, confusing in her eyes.
"Eating?" Technoblade was now was also confused.
"Right now? I'm not that hungry, sorry." She shrugged her shoulders apologetically, her armor clanking.
"No... for in battle...?" Technoblade's eyebrows furrowed in confusion.
"I'm just supposed to eat a steak in the middle of a fight? That doesn't make much sense..." Y/N blinked slowly.
Technoblade mirrored her slow blink.
"Y'know what, here." He sighed and handed her a few golden apples.
He saw fear flash through her eyes.
"Umm... no thanks. I think I'll take the steak instead." She murmured, taking a step backward.
"What's wrong?" Technoblade asked, and Y/N's face crinkled a little, looking very nervous.
"Well... one time I was at a party... and... well... uh, never mind. It's stupid." She looked away.
Technoblade's eyebrows were now furrowed in worry. What had happened that she didn't want to take gapples?
"It's okay, you can tell me anything." Techno tried his best to sound kind and understanding. He really cared about Y/N.
"Well... I... remember someone -can't remember who- gave me a golden apple, right?" She explained hesitantly, "And so... then according to everyone else I started acting really drunk... like really really drunk... I couldn't walk or hold myself up... and Dream said he was very embarrassed and he had to take me home..." She cringed at this, curling into herself slightly.
"And... well... I don't remember any of it... at all... and I didn't even have anything to drink..." She looked nervously at the golden apples in Technoblade's hands. "So I mean I know there's probably nothing wrong with these ones.... but I don't want what happened to... well... happen."
Technoblade understood completely. It was totally fair that she was afraid.
"And it was awful the morning after, I was sore all over. And Dream was really mad at me for a few weeks afterwards for 'embarrassing him'..." She trailed off.
Technoblade felt his blood turn to ice at the last part of the story.
"Can I just use your healing potions?" Y/N asked politely, pointing at a chest that held them. Technoblade nodded.
He watched as she grabbed a few of the potions out the chest.
Techno then turned to brew more potions. He thought about getting some of his dogs to help him with the fight, but he decided against it. If he revealed he was in possession of a dog army, the element of surprise around it would be lost.
Edward, who had just come into the room, vwooped quietly. Technoblade turned to look at him, meeting the enderman's bright purple eyes.
"Hey buddy, if I don't come back, make sure to feed Steve for me, okay?" He joked, and Y/N shot him a nervous look, as if she took what he said about not coming back seriously.
The Enderman tilted it's head at him, twitching, before unhinging it's jaw, an unholy sound escaping from it's black void of a mouth.
The sound radiated off of it, echoing around the room.
"Oh no! I made Edward mad!" Technoblade looked away from Edward, panicking.
The Enderman unsheathed it's claws, hissing. However it didn't move from the spot it stood.
"This is not the kind of enemy I need to be making right now!" Techno felt his anxiety go through the roof. Edward turned away as well, clearly angry still about the eye contact.
"I need to make strength potions fast! Fast! Fast!! EH???" Techno cried, really panicking now. He was rifling through chests trying to find ingredients for potions, his tail lashing. He couldn't find what he was looking for. He hoped Edward wouldn't attack him.
Y/N glanced at him nervously, sensing his unease.
A crow fluttered down onto the windowsill and hopped inside, landing on Edwards shoulder. Edward calmed down and reached for the bird, his claws retracting. He gently held the bird in his paws.
Technoblade took the letter from the crow's mouth, opening it.
"I'm not prepared for combat at all, I'm not prepared for combat at all..." He muttered.
Technobade went cold upon reading the only few words scrawled on the parchment.
'Big Q, Ranboo, Tubbo and Fundy. They have netherite.'
"THEY HAVE NETHERITE???BUT I THOUGHT THEY WERE BROKE! I THOUGHT THEY WERE BROKE! HEH????" He practically tore the letter he was gripping it so hard.
"Oh no... oh no no no no... What else do I need? What else do I need... I need- I need speed potions." He threw different items into the brewing stand, Y/N awkwardly watching him.
His ears suddenly swiveled at a noise outside. The crunch of boots on the snow. However he wasn't worried, it was only one set of boots. He glanced out the window.
Ghostbur was standing outside, the snow falling around him.
He had a blue sheep beside him that Technoblade had never seen before.
"He's just standing there! I don't know what Ghostbur is doing..." He proclaimed, turning back to his potions.
"Ghostbur...?" Y/N repeated, walking slowly over to the window to look out.
"Hello?"
"Hallo." Technoblade called back to the spirit.
"Hi Techno! How's it going man?" Ghostbur's faded form flickered forward, smiling.
"Ghostbur this is a terrible time." Technoblade said honestly, still hurriedly brewing potions.
"Y/N?" Ghostbur moved closer still, tilting his head. "I thought you were dead. I couldn't figure out why I couldn't find your ghost anywhere, and I was really sad. But you're here! That's great!" Ghostbur brightened, happy at seeing an old friend.
"Yeah, turns out it'll take a lot more to kill me!" Y/N puffed out her chest proudly. After living with Technoblade for so long, his antics seemed to rub off on her.
"So can I stay for a while... I was just coming though the area and I-"
"We're a bit busy here, Ghostbur." Technoblade interrupted. Now was the worst time for Ghostbur to visit.
A moment of silence.
"Can I help?" Ghostbur gently patted the blue sheep on the head, looking hopefully up at Technoblade.
"How good are you at violence?" Technoblade asked, glancing at the sheep and then back up at the partially transparent figure of his fallen brother.
Ghostbur shook his head disapprovingly and headed towards the door, leaving the blue sheep behind.
"Please, please. Have some blue. Come here, come here." Ghostbur sighed, clicking his tongue.
"Please Ghostbur, not right now. I don't have time for blue. I do not have time for blue, ghost of Wilbur Soot." Technoblade echoed the phantom's sigh, not getting up to open the door for him.
"Knock knock! Ding dong!" Ghostbur called from the downstairs entrance.
Technoblade stayed working on his potions. However, Y/N, being the nice person she was, let Ghostbur in. Technoblade dejectedly followed her downstairs.
"How are you Technoblade?" The apparition smiled brightly, a bright blue substance dripping off his hands.
"I am very bad." Technoblade answered honestly. Y/N stood forgotten by the door, looking slightly put-out.
"This is a nice place you've got here." Wilbur commented, looking around. "How long have you been living here, Y/N?" Y/N looked slightly surprised that someone was actually talking to her.
"Um... well, quite a while, actually..." She looked at Technoblade, trying to get him to help her answer.
It suddenly dawned on Technoblade that it had been quite a while. All the way since he had found her, a stranger, dying in the snow up until now, practically one of his best friends besides Phil. (and Steve and Edward.)
"Oh that's cool! I'm glad my brother finally found someone to spend the rest of his life with. He's always had trust issues, but I can tell he really trusts you." Ghostbur smiled innocently. "I'm going to go put vines on your house." He stated, and went outside.
Technoblade blushed like mad, understanding the suggestion of what Ghostbur had said. Y/N seemed to wear a similar blush, turning to give Techno an embarrassed smile.
Technoblade, seeing her smiling, began to chuckle. So did she. Soon they were both laughing. Techno completely forgot about the Butcher Army, and his nervousness disappeared.
He would have gone to see what Ghostbur meant about putting vines on his house, but he just wanted to stay here and laugh with Y/N. He would have liked to stay like this forever.
Ghostbur suddenly poked his head back through the door, smiling.
"Anyway, Technoblade... I was just passing through the area and I just wanted to check in on you." The ghost sauntered back inside, twisting vines poking out of the bag slung around his shoulder.
"What are you doing here anyway?" Y/N asked, still laughing slightly.
"Well, I've been away from everything for a while." The apparition got a sort of wistful look on his face, he brought his hands up and looked down at them, ponderingly. The blue substance was still dipping off of them.
"Dream sent me out into the wilderness, and- and I've been sort of wandering for a while..." The ghost continued, smiling sadly.
Ghostbur looked up from his hands and at Technoblade. He waved his hand towards the door, "And the problem is, I- I do melt... in the rain...and the snow." He sighed woefully.
Technoblade looked down at the ghost of his brother. He realized how vulnerable Ghostbur was, and how easily he could get hurt.
Technoblade had already lost him once, and he wasn't planning on losing him again.
"Please... that's great, that's wonderful." He herded Y/N and the ghost back upstairs, the panic of his situation coming back. "You gotta get out of here. You gotta get out of here, Wilbur." Techno accidentally called Ghostbur by his former name, forgetting everything for a second.
"Okay, so they're going to come... and they're going to see you here." Technoblade turned to Y/N, worry washing over him. "And they... I don't know what they're going to do to you." He reached out, grabbing the gleaming shoulder pad of her armor. "I don't know what they're going to do to me." He brought his hand up and ran it through his hair, exhaling sharply. "But I don't think it's going to be good."
Ghostbur glanced out at the window, at the blue sheep that had been standing beside him.
"Look, Techno!" He whispered excitedly. The sheep, it's bright blue wool standing out against the snow, spotted with snowflakes, was standing beside a white sheep that blended in against the stark ivory landscape. "Look! It's a sign" Ghostbur breathed in wonder, as he stepped out onto the porch, Technoblade following him.
"Blue!"
The phantom held out his hands, which were now dripping with a clear substance, rather than the blue stuff that had been dripping off of him before. He handed some to Techno, and the pink-haired male watched in awe as the substance began to change in his hands.
The crystal clear gel suddenly rippled with translucent blue swirls, slowly swelling and reaching out. It started small, like azure ink blots on paper, growing larger by the second. Mirroring blood in water the blueness billowed and swirled, tendrils of sapphire blooming outward and eating up the transparency, staining it all a brilliant cobalt. Technoblade felt as though his worries were lessening, being sucked out of him. He watched, transfixed, as the substance finished changing. Techno stared in awe down at what was now an entirely blue substance, the same that had been dripping off Ghostbur before. He then looked up at the blue sheep, who looked up at him in return, it's snow-flecked coat sparkling blue in the glow of the twilight moon.
"Ghostbur I need you to take that
