~2 Weeks Later~

~Your POV~

It's been a whole two weeks since that whole 'Bart and I skipping school' thing went down. The nearly drowning experience, and the horrific nightmare left me a bit traumatized. I kept to myself for a little while, sinking everything in.

Naturally, my silence stirred up some interest. My family, The Simpsons, and even people at my school seemed to have noticed my silence. Whenever they'd ask if I was alright, I'd respond with the simple, nonchalant,

"I'm fine."

Although I did tell Lisa how I was truly feeling. I didn't really know who else to tell. Lisa is such a great listener and knows just what to say. She was very supportive and understanding, she made me feel just a little bit better when I ranted to her. It was kind of weird though; I usually bottle up my feelings. So naturally me just ranting to my best friend was a little weird.

I told her the part that bothered me the most which happened to be the nearly drowning experience.. but she already knew about the whole beach situation which confused me since it was just Bart and I and we both agreed to not tell another soul about us skipping. Lisa then went on to explain how she knew this information.

Apparently, someone had once again filmed Bart and I without either of us knowing; It was when we were both at the beach. The video had recorded the part of me struggling in the water, to the part of me coughing up water when I was given CPR. Someone had recorded my near-death experience and shared it with the whole school. Wonderful.

People then started to give me even more attention than before. I'm not used to all this attention - I've always been the loner, quiet girl in class who hides in the shadows, far away from everybody. Now I'm out in the spotlight. How exciting.

There's nothing I can do to prevent people from viewing the video. It's on the Internet. Once it's on the Internet, it's stays on the Internet. Forever. I just hope that the videos don't get shared too much. If my parents, or Bart's parents, find out about the video him and I are in for some deep shit.

The students have also started to theorize that the reason that I have been giving the silent treatment is because of the fact that I nearly drowned. They aren't wrong and I'm not angry at them for thinking so - in fact I'm rather impressed that they could actually think about things like that and come up with conspiracy theories. (Shane Dawson who?)

Now I know what it truly feels like to be a celebrity. Doesn't mean I like it nonetheless.
But this new popular status has its good side I guess.

People buy me food from the cafeteria which is great so I suppose it isn't all bad. Also people help out with questions I don't understand in the classrooms. Well...more of them giving me  all the right answers straightforward. I don't even ask for the answers, they just give me them.

They also like to compliment me..a lot. But I can't tell if they are genuine compliments are not.

I was walking to school with my head down, lost in thought as usual. I've been ditching the crowded, loud and obnoxious bus filled with talkative teenagers and just walking to school alone.

I felt eyes burning in the back of my skull, sending daggers straight at me that pierced into my soul. Due to my paranoia, I quickly turned my head and looked around in Panic!

Nothing but a desolate street, rid of people or even life for that matter. I turned my heel and began walking again to Springfield high, ignoring the feeling of being watched and just dismissing it on the feeling being my imagination.

Up ahead I could hear the familiar chatter and laughter of a group of girls. I looked up and spotted Alex, Allison, Janey, Sherri and Terri. They were all holding Starbucks drinks and talking away. Alex must've sensed me because she looked up and spotted me. Shoot. A large grin outstretched on her face, she ran up to me and enveloped me in a hug that caught me off guard.

"Hey queen bee! What's up?" Alex perked up.

Lately Alex and her friends have been hanging around me more often. I mean, they're nice and all, but they act like girly children and their personalities seem fake. I wonder why Lisa claimed that these girls were her friends, they certainly don't look and act like it.

"Not much." I replied with a small smile. Alex pulled away from me and looked my outfit up and down.

"Omg! I'm loving your outfit today, girl!"

"Thanks." I said.

"Let's walk to school together!" She linked her arm with mine and strolled over to her friends.  We began to walk to school. I feel  uncomfortable with Alex linking her arm with mine. And when she hugged me. If people could kindly lay their hands off of me that'd be great.

"Soo.." Allison started.

"So..?" I repeated curiously.

"What's the deal with you and Bart?" She cooed as she emphasized his name. My eyes widened slightly. I better play it cool so they don't get suspicious.

"Oh him?" I questioned. "nothing much I guess." I shrugged casually.

"Oh really?" Alex said in disbelief.

"Then why are you spending so much time with him?"

"Well.." I started. "him and I are just friends I guess. That's all."

"Are you sure you and him are 'Just friends'?" Sherri interjected.

"Yeah," I said as I furrowed my brows. "why do you ask?"

"Because to me, it seems like you really like him~"

"W-What?! No way!" I stammered. My cheeks started to heat up.

"Who would like him anyway?" Sherri said.

"Yeah, he's like, such a loser." Terri finished. The girls started laughing with fake, high pitched laughs.

My stomach sank as they said those words.

"I don't see why you even hang out with him." Janey said.

"For real. Honey, you could do better." Alex said. "You really could." She, along with the rest of the girls, began laughing. I just faked a laugh and didn't say anything else.

They all began to trash talk Bart right in front of me, even though they weren't attacking me I still felt betrayed and hurt. I really wanted to stand up to them but I didn't know what to say. I didn't want to get judged either. I just stayed quiet and pretended to laugh at whatever insult they have thrown at Bart without him knowing. It made me feel horrible, I couldn't even stand up to them trash talking my crush. Even though it wasn't face to face it was still wrong.

I decided that I've heard enough. I slowly started backing away and was just about to walk away, when Alex looked back and grabbed my arm.

"Hey, where 'ya going?" She asked.

"Oh, just um.." I needed to think of an excuse. "I gotta go do something real quick.." I lied. She seemed convinced because she just nodded her head in understanding and released her grip on my arm.

"Alright then. I want you to sit with us at lunch. Sound good?" She said.

"..Sure." I faked a smile.

"Great! See you later!" She began walking off with the rest of her friends.

So much for them being 'nice'.

'Honestly, how is Lisa friends with them?'

~Time Skip~

Entering the school gates, I obviously knew what was going to happen since it happens practically everyday now.

Students started to greet me, compliment me, and just completely shower me with affection. They all admired me as some rebel princess.

I felt myself being watched again. I looked over and saw that I was being eyed by a certain group of boys who were at the entrance doors of the school, the same boys who happened to have a bad reputation around here. I recognized two familiar faces in the group, them being that Jimbo dude and also Dolph. Aka the ones who tried to hit on me.

I averted my gaze to the ground below me and walked passed them, earning a few whistles from the boys. Unbelievable.

I looked around for Bart and Lisa, since I told them I'm not taking the bus for a while, they agreed to start meeting up with me at our lockers. By the time I got to my locker, I didn't see Bart, Lisa nor Milhouse.

'I wonder where they are?'

The bell rang signaling students that the first classes have started. I couldn't just stand there and wait all day so I had to go to class. After putting my things away and taking out my binders and textbooks, I headed down the hall to class.

As I entered the classroom, I spotted Lisa sitting beside Milhouse at the front of the class. They were both talking to each other. Milhouse had said something that made Lisa laugh. Adorable.

Not wanting to disrupt their bonding, I walked pass them and took a spot at the back of the classroom. Students piled into the classroom, most of them coming over to me and trying to strike up a conversation. I, however, was clearly uninterested and kept glancing over at the door waiting for Bart to walk in.

After a few minutes, Bart entered the classroom. He looked over to me and we both made direct eye contact for a spilt second before he looked away and sat at the opposite end of the classroom to where I was.

'He looks like he has something on his mind..I wonder what it is?'

-3rd Person POV-

Ms.Krabapple then entered the classroom with an annoyed facial expression on her face. She cleared her throat before speaking,

"Alright class shut up!" Her voice boomed throughout the room. Everyone silenced.

"I want to all to know that we have a new student here with us today." A girl then entered the classroom.

"Class, meet Jessica Lovejoy."

(Jessica ^)

Gasps followed by murmurs could be heard around the room. Everyone's eyes were on her. Most of the guys in the class swooned over Jessica's attractive appearance. Some of the girls scoffed and rolled their eyes in jealousy. Bart, however, looked at Jessica in horror. His jaw hit the floor and his eyes were as wide as dish plates.

You eyed her outfit that looked rather tight on her body and showed a lot of skin.

'Jesus, is she even allowed to wear that here?'

You couldn't help but stare at her unusual belt accessory.

'Why does her belt look so much like Bart..?' Perhaps it's just pure coincidence.

"It's a.. pleasure to have you with us again." Ms.Krabapple said blankly. It didn't seem like she was pleased about having Jessica in her classroom.

"As most of you know she moved away from Springfield a while back but recently decided to come back and attend this school." Ms.Krabapple explained with a bored tone, seemingly uninterested.

"I'm so glad to see each and every one of you again!" Jessica beamed. Her happiness seemed fake and you could tell it was. Jessica turned to face Ms.Krabapple and cupped her hands together.

"But, Ms.Krabapple, I've changed. I'm not the person who I used to be. I am no longer that bad girl who broke rules. That me is gone forever." She declared with innocence.

'Wait..'bad girl who broke rules'?' You thought.

Ms.Krabapple's eyes widened slightly, surprised by Jessica's words.

"Well I'm glad to hear that, Jessica. Why don't you take a seat beside (Y/n) over there." Ms.Krabapple pointed to the empty seats beside you. Jessica followed her gaze and smirked. She swayed her hips as she strutted her way over to you, her eyes seemed to stare right into your soul. You felt uncomfortable and looked away.

Some of the boys whistled seductively as she strut pass them. She sat down on the empty seat. You casted a quick glance at Jessica, she caught your eye and winked. You got weirded out and looked at the board.

-Time Skip-

Class had finally came to an end. You were collecting your books and was just about to dart pass everyone to get to your next class, when someone tugged on your arm.

You looked back and we're met face to face with Jessica.

"Hello, (Y/n)." She greeted. You were wondering how she knew her name, but then remembered Ms.Krabapple telling her.

"Um, hi Jessica."

"I've heard a lot about you." She stated out of the blue.

"You..have?" You questioned with your eye brow raised.

"Yes, from my good friend Alex Whitney of course," She explained. "she says you are a baddie and that you happen to be apart of her group. You are the word of the school, she says."

"Uh, Really?" You questioned. Jessica's words shocked you. Why would Alex talk about you to some random girl?

"Yep." She replied.

"I look forward to talking to you later at lunch." With that, she turned her heel and walked away. You watched as she left in confusion.

"Hey (Y/n)." Two voices piped up from behind you. You instantly recognized them being Lisa and Milhouse. You turned around and smiled.

"Hey Lise. Hey Milhouse. I haven't seen you two in a while."

"Yeah, but that besides the point. I want to warn you about Jessica." Lisa suddenly interjected.

"Jessica the new student?" Lisa nodded her head. "why?"

"She's bad news." Lisa started

"Yeah, It's best if you stay away from her. She's crazy!" Milhouse finished.

"How so?" You questioned, curiously.

"She just is. She's a bad influence and..I'd rather not get into it but keep your guard up when you're around her."

'Bad news? I wondered why they said that about Jessica. They don't want to talk about it so I guess I won't press on,'

"Alright. Let's just get to class." You said.

Shaking your head, you began to walk to your next class with Lisa and Milhouse.

-Time Skip-

By the time lunch rolled around, students were calling you here and there to come sit with them at their tables.

"(Y/n)! Over here!"

"(Y/n), sit with us!"

"Sit here (Y/n)!"

'I just want to be left alone, is that too much to ask?'

You remembered that you agreed to sit with Alex and her friends at lunch time this morning. Sighing, you looked around the cafeteria trying to find them. They'd probably have a hissy fit if you don't sit with them.

After searching for almost ten minutes you couldn't find neither Alex or any of her friends. You remembered some people talking about there being a courtyard outside. Maybe they are there.

-Another Pointless Mini Time Skip-

"Oh my god where were you?" Sherri said as you approached a table outside where Alex and her friends sat.

It was rather fancy looking out here in the courtyard. There was a water fountain, stone tables surrounding the fountain, flower pots, and cobble stone ground. There was cheerleaders that sat out here, the football, basketball, and hockey club members, and there was also Jimbo and his goons. It was basically the spot in school where all the cool kids chill at.

"We thought you ditched us!" Terri finished. You suddenly noticed Jessica's presence amongst the girls, but that wasn't until she spoke up,

"It's alright, calm down you two. Let the girl breathe," Jessica said to the twins.
"(Y/n), come sit beside me." Jessica pat the empty space between her. You hesitated for a second before sitting down beside her.

"I see you to already met," Alex said.

"Yep," Jessica perked.

"Where were you by the way? We waited almost ten minutes for your arrival!" Jessica exclaimed.

"I was looking for you guys in the cafeteria-"

"Well don't go looking for us in there." Jessica interrupted, she seemed to have taken offense to what you had said.

"Why?" You questioned. What was so wrong with the cafeteria?

"This is where the popular kids sit." Alex said.

"Since you're interesting now, you can't be sitting with those losers in the cafeteria." Janey said.

"What about Lisa?" You countered.

"Oh her," Jessica grimaced.

"She's..decent and all, but he isn't cool." Jessica said bluntly as she studied her polished velvet nails. You clenched your fist under the table but didn't say anything.

"Yeah, she just doesn't have it in her to be popular." Allison said.

"You can say that again." Alex said. They all began to chortle. You just sat there, angry at the fact that they keep on trash talking your friends like it doesn't matter.

"You've met Lisa?" You questioned Jessica.

"Duh! She used to attend the school she practically dated her brother!" Alex raised her arms in the air.

"..Really?" You questioned slowly. Not only has Bart dated Sherri and Terri, but also Jessica as well?

"Yeah. Why do you ask? Are you jealous?"  You started blushing like crazy. You looked down at your lap shamefully.

"It's because now (Y/n) is all up in Bart's business." Janey cooed teasingly.

"Really?" Jessica questioned with a smirk.

"I wouldn't say that." You quickly said in defense.

"So then, what IS the deal with you and Barty?" Jessica rested her head on her hand and looked at you.

"I'm just.." You thought for a moment on what to say. "polite to him that's all."

"Aw, you're too sweet, (Y/n)." Alex gushed. She then turned to look at Jessica, who seemed a bit peeved.

"By the way Jessica - why didn't you met up with me and my girls this morning? I thought we agreed that we were gonna walk together." Alex said with disappointment.

"I had some..business to attend to." Jessica said coyly. It seemed as if, behind that innocent facade, she planned something wicked. Jessica gave you a bad feeling in your gut.

"Anyway back to the subject of us." Jessica quickly said.

"All the popular people chill out here and at Lakers park after school." Alex stated.

"Oh Lakers park and The Springfield Country Club. Oh how I've missed them both dearly." Jessica sighed dreamily.

"Lakers park?" You repeated.

"The park behind the Springfield Country Club," Jessica started. "Only a very few selective group of people know about that place."

"It's where the popular people hang out at," Allison said.

"It's a very exclusive and expensive place," Terri started.

"only people of class go there." Sherri added. You just shook your head, understanding.

"All of us." Alex motioned to everyone in the courtyard. "Well..besides those guys over there." She pointed over to Jimbo, Dolph, Kearney, and Nelson.

"You're one of us now. So you should be a regular at the country club." Janey said.

"Won't I need permission?" You asked. They all simply laughed.

"Oh honey, only nobody's need permission. As far as everyone knows, you aren't a nobody." Jessica acknowledged as she flipped her long, silky black hair over her shoulder.

"You think you're worshipped here. Hah!" Jessica chortle. "Go to the country club and Lakers park. You're an icon they'll all claim."

"A rebellious queen," said Alex.

"A baddie," Allison
