"Wha- what?" Killua replied blankly, pulling me closer to him. "Why?"

"Technically I didn't finish the nen course I was doing there." I replied sheepishly, sighing. "I wanted to leave at the same time as Kurapika, and now I have to go back. Besides, it'll be good for my future." Killua was about to object, but he just sighed and nodded. I smiled at him. I loved how he respected these kinds of things.

"Fine, but only if you have to." He said sadly, pouting at me. "It's really close to here anyway, and we'll be here for a while. Just promise me one thing. Leave with me when I go, okay?" I beamed at him, resting my head on his shoulder and closing my eyes. He was so comfortable. It suddenly dawned on me how much it would hurt him if I betrayed him- just like every member of his family.

"Of course I will. I'd never leave you, Killua Zoldyck. You mean too much to me." I felt his tensed shoulder relax, before I felt him fall completely limp. He must be tired.

"Thank you. No funny business with other boys, okay?" I giggled and pecked his cheek gently.

"Of course not. Especially when I have the best one in the entire world."

--Time skip: the next day--

I stood in front of Hunter Academy, getting extreme nostalgia. To say the least, I was very nervous. I wouldn't be here with any of my friends. Killua squeezed my hand tightly and kissed my temple, smoothing down my h/c hair.

"You'll be fine. Make some friends, okay? You'll be out before you know it." He smiled at me, making my insides melt. I smiled back, slowly slipping my hand out of his grasp and walking away. I waved at him before entering the huge, towering school building. Luckily I'd kept my old school uniform, and my body shape hadn't changed much. The skirt was slightly too short for my liking, though. It made me feel slightly uncomfortable- especially around the boys.

I finally reached my homeroom. I heard noises from inside. I took a deep breath, and opened the door.

The entire room went silent, making me blush. Every pair of eyes were on me, including the teacher's. I could hear them whispering to each other.

"She's so pretty!"

"I wish I looked like her."

"I'm asking her out later."

"Same."

My teacher cleared her throat and nodded towards me.

"Class, this is Ms Y/n L/n, our new student. Please make her feel welcome. You can go and sit in that spare seat between Jamie and Tia." I glanced around the room briefly before I saw two people waving at me. I smoothed down my skirt and walked over, sitting down. Class began to start, and I cupped my head in my hands. I remembered all this stuff from when I went here. I looked over to see a girl beaming at me.

"Hi!" She whispered. "I'm Tia, and the boy next to you is Jamie. I hope we can be friends!" I smiled back at her and nodded enthusiastically.

"Definitely! I'm Y/n."

*ring!*

Class began to pile out, and I fell into step next to Tia. We were talking when suddenly a tall boy came and stood in front of me. He looked slightly menacing, and was even taller and more muscular than Killua.

"Hi, I'm Leo. The most popular guy at this school. I think you're beautiful." I instinctively blushed at his direct comment.

"Hi. I'm Y/n."

"Great. Hey Y/n, are you free this Thursday? I would love to take you out for a meal." I giggled slightly while Tia gave me a strange look.

"I'm sorry, my boyfriend would kick your ass if you tried to take me out." Tia looked at me with her mouth open, before bursting into a laughing fit along with Jamie. I liked that crowd.

"I'm sure I could kick his ass first. Besides, he doesn't even need to know. What do you say?" I frowned at him, shocked by his words.

"I'm sorry, we can totally be friends but I can't go out with you." I looked at him apologetically- I knew what it was like to be turned down, but rather than sad he just looked angry.

"By the end of the week you'll be in love with me. Trust me." He gave me a seductive wink before walking away, leaving me speechless.

"What a creep!" Jamie said between laughs.

"You have a boyfriend?" Tia suddenly asked, cocking her head to the side. I nodded proudly. She gasped. "What's he like? What does he look like? Tell me everything." I giggled at her childish response before replying.

"Well, maybe you could meet him rather than me explaining. He's too amazing to explain." She squealed in happiness, her wavy hair bouncing up and down.

"I can't wait!"

We finally made it to the lunch hall, and we sat down. After a couple of minutes, one boy and one girl came and sat down too, both smiling at me.

"Hi!" The girl said cheerfully. "I'm Nat. It's nice to meet you!" I smiled and shook her hand.

"I'm Chris." The other boy said quietly, his black hair flopping over one eye. He was good looking, but obviously I already had a boyfriend.

"Nice to meet you all!" I said to Jamie, Tia, Nat and Chris. Maybe school wouldn't be so bad after all.

We talked about all kinds of things, like studying and the Hunter exam. Everyone was super impressed by my knowledge about he subject, but of course I wouldn't tell them I was a Hunter already. That information could wait.

Suddenly, I heard a chair scrape up next to me, and an arm sling loosely around my shoulder. Without even looking, I could tell it was Leo. What a jackass.

"I'm glad you made friends, Y/n." He emphasised the word 'friends' and sent death glares to both Jamie and Chris. I squirmed under his firm grip, and his hand was dangerously close to my chest area. He kept glancing, too.

"Um... Tia, could you show me the way to the bathroom?" I asked quickly, jumping out of my seat and grabbing her arm. She nodded immediately and we quickly walked to the bathroom, losing sight of Leo.

"I'm so sorry about him." She apologised. "He doesn't have respect for personal space." I nodded in agreement.

"If my boyfriend ever saw that he'd kick his ass with no hesitation." Tia giggled, clearly amused.

"He sounds great. I can't wait to meet him!" The truth was, I was scared. Since he was an ex- assassin, he might not be able to control himself and end up accidentally breaking one of his bones with no intention, or worse. I shivered just thinking about it.

"Are you okay, Y/n?" Tia asked, patting my back. "You spaced out for a minute."

"Y- yeah, I'm fine."

--Timeskip: after school.--

"Bye, y/n!" All my new friends waved, and I waved back. They headed home by themselves, while I had to wait for Killua while Tia waited along with me for her mother, which I had no problem doing. I felt a pair of hands tighten around my waste, and I spun around thinking it was him. To my surprise, it was Leo.

"Hi, babe." He said, nuzzling his face into my neck. "Waiting for me?" I pulled a face at Tia, but she shrugged. She was small, so she couldn't do anything. Suddenly, I felt a knife press against my neck. I felt the cold metal against my skin. I looked up at him as he licked his lips. I tried to get out of his grasp, but he was too strong. Tia tried to help, but she was quickly knocked out the way.

"If you don't do exactly as I say, both you and your little friend there will get hurt." I felt his hand move towards my chest, making me gasp. What was wrong with this guy? "Where's your boyfriend now, hmm?"

"Let.... Me... Go..." I breathed.

"You have such a nice body and pretty face, Y/n. You're the only girl who refuses to go out with me who I've asked. That means I'll have to force you." Where was Killua.

"Killua... Please help me! I whispered, my eyes welling up with tears. Tia got out her phone and began dialling the police, but Leo snatched it away. He kept groping me, making tears slide down my cheeks. We had moved inside the school building, making it close to impossible for Killua to find us. Suddenly, I heard a voice that was all too familiar.

"What the fuck are you doing to my girlfriend?"
