I slowly opened my eyes, blinking a couple of times. Glancing around, I was in a room which I quite distinctively remembered as the spare room next to Gon's in Mito-san's house. Suddenly, I remembered everything which happened on the ship before I blacked out. I sat up and was about to scream, but I felt someone put their hand over mine, making me go bright red. I slowly turned my head to the side to see Killua. He looked tired, and his usually neutral eyes were filled to the brink with concern.

"K-Killua..." I murmured. "How long was I out for?" He sighed heavily and sat on the edge of my bed, his hand still on mine.

"Two days." He said simply, blinking.

"W-what happened?" I stuttered, scared to find out.

"Well..." He said, looking down. "I told Gon that I..." He paused, turning his face away from me.

"What?" I repeated, slightly agitated.

"I told him I didn't want to leave you alone..." He murmured. "So I came back and there were some guys surrounding you. I injured them all and found you passed out..." He paused for a minute, and he finally moved slightly so I could steal a glimpse at his face. To my surprise it was bright red. "I carried you to Mito's and now here you are." He turned to face me, and his face had gone back to neutral again. Maybe I was imagining the blush.

"Um... Thanks." I said quietly, giving him a small smile.

"Baka... It's fine." He replied, looking at the floor awkwardly. I sat up, stretching my arms out and shaking my hair out.

"Well, I want to go say hi to Mito. Then can we explore?" I added hopefully, clasping my hands together and grinning.

"That was a quick recovery." He said, laughing lightly. "Sure. I haven't been out of the house for a while." I cocked an eyebrow at him, frowning.

"Why not...?" I asked, confused. It wasn't like him to stay indoors- especially since he left his parents.

"Um..." I saw a blush creep up to his cheeks again, making my frown deeper. He wasn't usually like this. "Tch. I was worried about you, Baka." I just smiled, holding in a laugh. He was just so adorable.

"C'mon, let's go see Mito!" I said, managing to hide the awkwardness. I hopped out of bed and grabbed his hand, leading him down the corridors and into the kitchen. There, I saw Mito cooking something that smelled amazing. I ran up and grabbed her from behind, pulling her into a hug. I felt her tense up, and then relax when she saw it was just me.

"Y/n. Welcome back!" I released her from the tight grip and smiled up at her.

"Thank you!" I said, grinning. I gestured over to Killua who was leaning against the doorframe, smiling at us. "Killua and I are going to explore, ne?" She nodded.

"Just be back for dinner!" She said, waving us off. I fell into step next to Killua as we walked out the house, and smiled at my surroundings. It was exactly how I remembered it. There was wildlife everywhere, an so many huge marketplaces. I truly loved it here. After a while of Killua and I walking in silence and admiring the surroundings, I finally plucked up the courage to ask him a question.

"Killua... Who are you?"

He froze, turning to look at me with a frown.

"What do you mean?" I ventured towards him, giving him a sad smile.

"I want to know more about you're family. Where you grow up. What you do. I want to know about you." I finished my speech, clearing my throat. "You can't keep hiding things from me." His eyes widened slightly, but then he sighed and nodded.

"Are you sure you're ready for the truth?" I nodded, a determined look in my eyes. He looked at the floor- almost as if he were ashamed. I suddenly saw a tear escape from the corner of his eye. "Oh God, Y/n. I'm so sorry. I'm so, so sorry..." He stood there timidly, gritting his teeth. I'd never seen him like this, apart from the day he... Never mind.

"I want to know." I insisted, puffing my cheeks out and standing firmly. He was going to tell me to the truth. I just knew it.

"You know when your dad was killed?" He asked quietly, no emotion in his voice. Suddenly, something clicked from deep within me. I knew exactly what he was going to say, and I didn't even care anymore. "And you know how it was a assassin from the Zoldyck fam-"

"It was you, wasn't it." I saw his eyes widen again, making me slightly sad. "You're a Zoldyck. And you killed my dad." I gulped, before continuing. "That's why you were mysterious. You didn't want us to know." He paused before nodding slowly, his pupils shaking.

"That's right." He looked at the floor awkwardly. Even though he lied to me, I wasn't mad.

"Hey, it's cool." I said, as chilled out as I could sound. "That was ages ago. Just don't lie to me again, okay?" I smiled as his head snapped up in shock, staring at me shaking his head. He gave a tiny little corner smirk and cocked his eyebrow.

"You surprise me every day, Y/n. You know that?" I felt a blush creep up to my cheeks. "I mean, most people would just scream and run. Thank you." He added cautiously at the end. I smiled brighter and turned around to keep walking, letting out a deep breath I'd been holding in. It felt good to know the absolute truth.

"Oh, Y/n." I felt his breath on the back of my ear suddenly. He was directly behind me. "One more thing."

And that was when he spun me around, leant in and kissed me. And this time I'm pretty sure it wasn't just a dream.
