Earlier
Earlier, if Kira were to be honest, she would be surprised that she liked the company of the werewolf, despite the fact that Enid is a werewolf. Maybe we could thank Enid for assuring Kira that she is a harmless one. Perhaps Kira didn't see the point in feeling threatened by Enid. After all, Enid is a sweetheart; how could you even hate her?
Kira could only watch Enid walk out of the infirmary. She realized that she didn't want to be alone, which was another surprise for her. Perhaps she had been traumatized by the stalker a while ago.
Either way, she let Enid exit through the door rather than calling the werewolf back because, at that moment, Kira didn't really want to rest.
Right now, she needed to make sure that Wednesday is fine. If Kira had received a letter, there's a possibility that Wednesday received one too.
Kira could only hope that Wednesday hadn't seen it yet because she knew what could happen and she didn't want that either. So, Kira is on a mission. She tried to brush off the anxious feeling that was starting to creep in.
Just by the thought of Wednesday could end up just like her, or maybe evenworse. After the attempt to put herself in trance, Kira found herself out of her body. She could still feel the surroundings where her physical body is, but at the same time, she's aware of the plane she's walking through. The astral plane.
Phase one is on. The next thing to do is to find Wednesday and the only thing that had come to Kira's mind is to check if Wednesday's in her room. At this point she wishes she won't find Wednesday there.
When Kira arrived to Wednesday's room, she saw nothing but an empty room. No signs of the things she expected to see, letter or whatever it is. That's good, right? But that only added more question to Kira.
Kira decided to go back when suddenly she saw the principal and a police officer. At first, it hadn't sink in to Kira what is the police officer for. She doesn't have any plan to stay for longer and to know whatever they are doing but a name that principal Nohm dropped that made Kira stop and listen.
"Sammy Heathers? Yes, she's the roommate of Ms. Bolton... Why?"
"We confirmed from the footage of the security camera that you sent us that Ms. Bolton's roommates may be the prime suspect for this incident."
"She was the only one who entered the room after Ms. Bolton. There was no force of entry through the room's window. As you can see, all clothes changed and not carrying any single thing but herself... We don't know if she still has the weapon she used to harm Ms. Bolton..."
Kira didn't let the police finish his sentence as she found herself running back to the infirmary because she's the only one who knows the truth. She remembered now. Before she got to the clinic, what happened. She was too caught up with checking Wednesday that she forgot about Sammy.
"Enid." Kira called unconsciously as soon as she came back to her body. She then realized that Enid already left. Without a choice she jumped off her bed only to collapsed on the floor. "Fuck!"
Kira didn't even care of her situation right now. Mixed of guilt and anger is what she's feeling right now. Guilt because she knows Sammy wasn't the person behind of what happened to her. The last thing she want to happen is blame someone wrongly. And of course she's angry because of how fast everything is happening. No one even gave her a break!
As Kira got out of the room, just a luck that Enid is still there. She didn't expect Xavier's appearance but she let it slide.
"What are doing?! You're not allowed to get off the bed! You said you're going rest!" Enid rushed to the ginger as soon as she realized that Kira's still not fine... Well she knew Kira won't be fine anytime soon and Enid knew that.
"And this is what you mean by 'fine'?" Xavier sassed but the two girls didn't even mind him.
"They're getting Sammy, we need to get on Sammy!"
"What?! Who?!"
"I know where Sammy is. Are you sure you can go there?" Xavier asked.
"Are you crazy?! She's bleeding, she just had her stitched!" Enid snapped.
"Stitch— you got stabbed that bad that you got stitched?"
"I'm fine! We should go to Sammy before the police get her!" Kira argued yet the expression in her face says otherwise.
"Wait—There are police?!"
"Yes, so we better go to Sammy before she gets in jail for doing something she didn't even do!"
"How about we go there instead while you'll stay here. We'll tell you what happe—"
"And what are you gonna do? You didn't even know what happen?" Kira cut off Xavier.
The ginger looked at Enid and her frown suddenly softened, which Enid didn't miss. "Enid, please. We gotta go there and stop them."
Enid isn't just panicking by the fact that Kira's not well and supposedly resting, but instead she's out. She's also panicking by the fact that her friend could get arrested as to what Kira's saying.
But before that, the fact that her skin is technically brushing on the ginger's skin is her concern right now. Which is off timing but look at her. Enid felt like her five senses just started to operate overly.
She could see Kira's freckles clearly. She'd count them just for leisure. She'd trace her finger on Kira's face if only she could. And the smell of Kira's fragrance blending to her own scent the longer they stay closer. Enid could practically hear nothing but hear own heart beat. And well, Kira's heavy breathing that was caused by her newly patched wound. Suddenly she has a selective hearing.
Enid wouldn't snap back from her trance if Kira didn't practically grasped Enid's wrist in pleading.
"Enid."
"O-Okay, okay. But you gotta tell me once you don't feel okay." Kira nodded as a reply. Without breaking eye contact with the werewolf, which also the reason why Enid can't focus well. Too bad neither of them would acknowledge that. Kira wasn't even aware. And Enid wouldn't dare.
"Are you serious?!"
Enid glared at Xavier, she didn't like the way he raised his voice to them. Especially in front of Kira.
"You know what you can do? You can tell us where Sammy is. So Kira can go back as soon as possible."
"Fine! Let's go, follow me!"
-----
Wednesday was sure that Sammy wasn't the reason why Kira was in the infirmary. She found out about that not long after she left the ginger's room and almost get caught by Sammy.
But that wasn't just the news for Wednesday. Another mystery was added and that was how Kira received the same envelope as Wednesday.
At first, Wednesday didn't think that Kira's sender was also hers. Even if she saw what has been written in the envelope.
Someone wanted Kira dead, hence the situation that just happened to Kira. Meanwhile, all Wednesday has been receiving the stalking and teasing of her sender.
One thing Wednesday was sure about. These were not just coincidence.
"Who would have thought that girl couldn't go more interesting. After being invisible for years, she appeared in broad light and someone want her dead."
"Do you think her stalker is also the one who has been sending you those messages?" Thing signed. They are now at the goth's room.
After going to Cordelia's hall, Wednesday went to her room to check something.
When Wednesday completely realized that Kira has a stalker, she immediately thought the timing. So she went to her room and search for a mystery letter. Spoiler alert, she found nothing.
"This school doesn't have much of students. Even smart ones are not hard to count. But if we have the same stalker, why and why I'm still standing while Kira's in infirmary." Wednesday stated. "I need to talk to Bolton."
And that's why Wednesday found herself walking to the infirmary. She didn't know what to say once she face Kira, actually. After she walked out a while ago, she never thought she'd coming back so soon.
But it was not in infirmary where she gonna find the ginger. And much surprising, it was not just Kira who she found. The ginger was walking fast, while Wednesday's roommate walking beside her, and supporting her.
"Where are you going?"
"Oh great! Not today, Wednesday." Wednesday had to look to who ever owned that nagging voice before she realized that it's Xavier. Of course he gotta be somewhere where Wednesday doesn't want him to be at.
"There are police who wants to get Sammy. We need to stop them." Enid replied, ignoring Xavier.
Wednesday took a quick scan on Kira and oh boy, she wasn't near to being fine. But maybe something with Kira's eyes that made Wednesday just... Go with the flow?
Wednesday nodded subtly which Enid caught just in time. Before they could know, they arrived at the ginger's dorm where the principal, a couple of police officers, and of course, Sammy.
"What are you kids doing here— Ms. Bolton, you're supposed to be at the clinic. The rest of you should be at your classes!"
"I know why you're here, sir. But it wasn't Sam. She didn't do this to me." Kira cut off the principal.
"Save it Kira. You can't convince them." Kira's eyes landed on Sammy's hands that were now handcuffed.
"No. I'm telling you it's not her!" Kira asked, looking back to the principal and the police. Her faced can be read as to someone who's beyond worried for a friend. Which a shocker especially to Enid and Wednesday. Enid didn't think Kira's very close to Sammy. Well, not to the extent that she'd go halls and halls just to prevent Sammy of being accused. Considering also her situation.
Wednesday on the other hand was thinking the same. Only though she didn't expect Kira would get attached to Sammy that hard especially the girl didn't even dare to make bond with anyone not until now.
"I'm already saying it's not you who did this." Kira didn't even notice that she's technically squeezing Enid's arm. Kira's far from being fine, physically and mentally, and everyone could see that.
"Ms. Bolton, I understand. But we have their evidence against Ms. Heathers. We'll get your statement later."
"I advised Ms. Bolton to go back to the infirmary. You can talk to her there where she's rested."
"No, I already—"
"Kibs, it's fine. Trust me, it's gonna be fine. We'll get whoever did this to you." Good thing, Sammy was able to assured Kira. Though Kira's against to it, her body can't go for longer. That confirms when she collapsed to Enid.
"Oh my god, Kira! Put her on my back, I'll carry her." Xavier offered but Enid didn't take it and lifted Kira instead without a sweat.
"No need." Enid looked at Kira worriedly. "Sammy's gonna be fine. You need too."
Kira's eyes were closed, but she didn't passed out. She was just so tired to open her eyes, exhausted if you may. Nonetheless, she clung her arms on Enid's neck as she was being carried by Enid's arms and mumbled thanks.
Enid would have caught that if she wasn't distracted by the fact that this was an emergency and she herself was dealing her own emergency. She was practically feeling Kira's skin on her neck and now, she wanted more.
"Enid she's bleeding." Wednesday spoke, snapping the werewolf from her fantasy.
When Enid looked at where Wednesday was looking at, she realized that it was Kira's newly stitch wound.
"Oh god!"
"Bring her to the clinic, now!"
Enid didn't even recognize who owned that voice. But it was the principal. She ran as fast as she could, worrying about the life that she's carrying.
"Kira, Kira, are you awake?" Enid checked.
Kira nodded but the pain in her face was visible.
"Good, good. Stay awake for me, okay!?"
As they got back to the infirmary, the nurse didn't seem to be surprised that they went back. And mostly not surprised that Kira has to be attend again.
"Oh my god! This is my fault, I shouldn't have let her leave her room!" Enid freaked out. They are outside the room while Kira was getting treated again.
"I told you it's a bad idea!"
Wednesday disliked Xavier. But she disliked him even more now. Whether because he yelled at her roommate or because she knew it wasn't truly Enid's fault, she doesn't know.
"Calm down, she's gonna be fine." Wednesday said, trying to focus on her roommate instead.
"How did you know that? She bled too much and now she's bleeding again!" Xavier snapped.
"Oh god, oh god, oh god! Her parent's gonna skin me alive!"
"That's not gonna happen, so stop pacing." Wednesday swore a she already knew that and even if it happens, she won't gonna let it. She looked at her roommate once again, and though there's this 'curse' that was making her stay with her roommate, she knew what she needed to do.
"I'll be back, just stay here." Wednesday was about to leave until Xavier blocked her way.
"Where are you going?"
"You don't need to know."
"No. I do, and I do think you're up to no good. You're going to follow them, aren't you?"
Enid knew that Xavier was right. Not by the fact that Wednesday wa sup to no good, of course. But by the fact that Wednesday was planning to follow the principal. It wasn't a secret in that room.
Wednesday was ready to ignore Xavier, and walk to her business but time didn't let her, or at least someone.
"You kids are still here? Go back to your classes, now." They all looked at the owner of the voice and saw it was the principal.
"Where's Sammy?"
"Where she supposed to be. While you three should be in your classes. I already called Mrs. And Mr. Bolton. I'm telling you, they weren't happy to comeback here with their kid in emergency again."
"Oh god!" Enid anxiously said.
"But Kira was sure that it's not Sammy."
"Then there's no need to worry. Ms. Heathers went with the police voluntarily."
"I bet she did. Is that why she was handcuffed?" Wednesday retorted.
"I don't even know why I should explain to you. You kids should go and let us handle this." The principal said. As he was about to enter, he stopped in track and looked at Wednesday. "Stay away from this, Ms. Addams. The school is well aware of your record, this isn't some kind of adventure nor games for you to solve."
As the principal entered the infirmary, the three students were left at the hallway. Standing there in tensed silence, Enid was the one who broke the silence only because she sensed Xavier looking at Wednesday. As for Wednesday, she was aware, but her eyes were glued on the doors, contemplating whether she should enter or not.
Obviously, the more Wednesday answer is not to do it. In the first place, what would she do inside? But there's this inkling feeling that she has to be in there.
"What are you still doing here?" Xavier asked rather bluntly to Wednesday.
"Why are you being such an ass?" Enid shot back but the boy didn't bat an eye at her.
Unfortunately for Xavier, Wednesday didn't bat an eye on him either. Instead, she grabbed on Enid and started walking away from the psychic boy.
Enid was taken a back. When was the last time Wednesday initiated physical touch again? No one can remember, actually. But then something came up to her mind causing them to halt.
"Wait, how about Kira?"
"We can go back there later. We need to check on Sammy."
Enid had to process what Wednesday said and obviously that nearly impossible as there's so much happening. Thanks to Wednesday and her 'kindness' to make things clearer to the werewolf.
"Do you want to check on your friend or not?"
"I-I— yeah."
"Then move faster. You don't want her to take the blame for something she didn't do."
"Sam won't do that."
"You can't be sure."
