Later that night, Wednesday has only one thing in mind and that was to keep her eyes on Kira. So when Enid asked her to join the dinner, she accepted it right away. Enid on the other hand was surprised. But she was also glad, she thought maybe Wednesday's starting to get used to their friends and being around them.

As they walk together with Thing to the mess hall and see their friends, Thing and Enid continue their chitchat that they started back in their dorm while Wednesday was keenly searching for the ginger. Her eyes stopped when she spotted the girl in question with her roommate and of course, Xavier.

For some reason, this caused a slight reaction to the goth, good thing Enid and Thing snap her back by dragging her to their table. Their friends weren't surprised anymore that Enid was still alive after what she did.

As they settled in, Wednesday looked at the place where she spotted Kira but what she saw was she didn't expect. Sammy was in light shock, looking at the aggrieved ginger.

Kira walked out upset, leaving Sammy who seemed scolding the psychic boy now.

Wednesday shot up, surprising the werewolf who was sitting next to her.

"Where are you going?" Enid asked, holding the goth on her wrist. Wednesday felt static but it was nothing like the ones she was having every time she has a vision.

The static comes with an overwhelming feeling of crawling in her stomach and heat brushing through her cheeks. Everyone at the table would be blind if they didn't see the goth's reaction. Just like how fast the effect of the werewolf at the goth, the reactions of their friends came quickly.

Normally, Wednesday would shoot a bullet in her head. Enid was unfortunately unaware as she was concerned with the goth. Like, Wednesday agreed to join them but now she wanted to leave? There must be something wrong that made the goth's mind change.

Wednesday retrieved her hand as she cut the eyecontact with the werewolf. It somehow lessens the warm sensation in her.

"I'll be back." Wednesday left the table and Thing followed her. Enid didn't do anything but watch the two left out of her sight. She knew right away what it was about and even if she wanted to help them, she won't especially if they didn't need it.

Meanwhile, after walked out of the quad, Kira went outside the school. She didn't come back to their dorm as she was sure that her roommate would follow her back there. She needed time alone but of course, the universe didn't let it happen as Thing jumped out of nowhere which surprised the ginger.

"Oh shit!"

"That's Thing." Kira was still in shock when Wednesday showed up too and that made Kira almost lose it. Thing waved at Kira and the girl looked at Wednesday and Thing with confusion and shock.

"I-Yeah, I know," Kira said unconsciously which Wednesday didn't miss. "I mean—Hey... Uhm, what are you doing here?" Kira asked, looking around and only realizing that they were entering the forest.

"What are you doing here?" Wednesday asked back only for Kira to shoot her brows up.

To be honest, Kira didn't know. It was probably her initial reaction. The forest has always been her safe haven so whenever she was upset or angry, or maybe feeling lonely or sad, forest was her go to place.

"I asked you first."

Thing looked at the goth as if he was also thinking of an answer. It may also be because he was surprised by Kira's reply. This was the first official interaction they were having and Thing can already tell why Enid was friends with her. Kira saw Thing but she brushed it away and waited for the goth's reply.

"Bee hunting." Wednesday quickly dodged. Thing made a thumbs-up sign.

"Without any equipment with you? That's a little challenge, don't you think?" Kira chuckled lightly as awkwardness crimped in. "And it's dark already, wandering in the woods without light isn't a smart move."

"I like dark places. Same goes for challenging myself, if that's what you call it."

Kira's brows shot up as she eyed the two suspiciously. "Okay? Uhm, enjoy, I guess." Kira was about to walk back when the Wednesday called her and right away, the girl turned as if she knew it coming and that was the only thing she was waiting for.

"Yes?"

"Wanna challenge yourself and join me?"

Kira didn't reply right away. She still processing the question when Wednesday started to walk in the forest while Thing signaled Kira to follow them. As Kira started walking in the forest, she felt a familiar feeling she always enjoyed. And just like a fresh memory, the moment of her wandering in the woods with her soulmate flashed back.

"So, you're not hunting bees, are you?" Kira started, walking beside the goth with an arm-long distance between them. Kira hugged herself, she forgot that she was only wearing a shirt but it was all nothing compared to what was happening now. She may be rather frozen from the cold than go back and miss this opportunity. "It's okay, I'm not going to ask anyway. I just think you can come up with a much more believable reason."

Thing 'laughed' only to stop when the goth sent him a glare from her shoulder. They continued to walk in the forest, not knowing where to go. That was when Wednesday spoke. "I saw you left the quad after Xavier talked to you."

"Oh... Did you follow me here after that?"Kira stopped and so did the goth. Wednesday looked at the confused girl, stoically.

"What are you, dreaming?"

"Most people will think they are having a nightmare."

"As they should."

Kira scoffed, as a feeble smirk formed on her lips. "I told you, you can come up with a better lie or just tell the truth." Kira and Wednesday looked at each other for a solid-long second before Kira spoke again.

"Principal Nohm talked to Xavier. He didn't want me in Xavier's club unless I would sign up for the Fencing Club. And as the captain of our club, Xavier did the 'honor' to sign me up in fencing instead of asking me first." Kira continued, making a quotation mark and rolling her eyes.

"What?" Wednesday asked, even Thing was offended for the ginger even if they just met.

"Yeah. So even if I hate to see the principal I might have to see him."

"Why would he do that?" Wednesday asked referring to the psychic boy. Funny enough, she seemed more affected compared to Kira.

Kira didn't expect Wednesday to be interested. So it took a minute before she responded. "Principal Nohm? I don't know. He seemed so pressed that Ris—the late principal let me slipped with the school's 'critical' standard."

"No, I mean Xavier. You don't seem the one who depends their actions on others... Unless he's not just an 'other'"

Kira's mouth left ajar as she searched for words to reply. "Oh... I don't know, he's—he's your friend first, isn't he? That's actually why I left because I was upset he decided for me. I—Is he really like that?"

Wednesday stared at the ginger and nodded. Thing on the other hand had loads of questions but he chose to keep it. As they continued to walk into the woods, it reminded Wednesday about the vision she had.

In the middle of the silence, Kira was the first who chose to break it.

"Can I ask you a question?"

"I suppose you can after the deal we had," Wednesday replied almost immediately.

"Right. The question is, why do you..." Kira paused. "Why does your group suddenly have this weird interest in knowing me?"

Of course, Kira knew. Or at least that was what she thought. The only reason she knew—which only because she heard it from the goth herself—was because Wednesday suspected Kira as her stalker. That explained Wednesday's sudden interest with the ginger.

Kira didn't really care about why Wednesday's group of friends suddenly want to know her.

"Why are you asking me?"

"Because I think you too want to know me."

The two girls were silenced for a second. Neither Kira nor Wednesday blinked as they held each other's stares that Thing himself felt dying by the tension.

"Hopefully it's not because I am 'stealing' Xavier from you. I don't want you or your fan club smothering me in my sleep... You're not leading me here to finish me, right?" Kira joked. Wednesday gave a glare but Kira didn't budge.

"So you're one of those foolish students who actually believe in those baseless articles? That's kind of low don't you think?"

"It's—That's just a joke. I don't believe it, of course. Mainly because I'm not interested in Xavier just like what they think." Kira sighed, maybe she should stop making a joke or sarcastic comments on Wednesday. "So, Thing...right? How long you've been with Wednesday?"

Thing signed but Kira barely gave attention to it. Her attention is on the girl walking beside her and only looking in front.

"That's cool," Kira replied mindlessly.

For the second time, Kira was able to get close to her soulmate. Well, at least the second time in her soulmate's lifetime. Her eyes started to outline the side profile of the goth. She wondered how her soulmate got to reincarnate into a perfect human being every single lifetime. She'd be lost if not for Thing who was waving at Kira.

Wednesday on the other hand was well aware of Kira's eyes. But she kept her face in front. Normally she'd feel uneasy when people look at her. Though Kira's stares gave an familiar feeling towards the Addams girl, Wednesday can't find the need to escape the touching stare.

"Aren't you going back?" Kira said making the goth stop at her trance and walking. "It's already night, we should go back before lights out... Or you can just do whatever you want. I need to go back. Be careful though, bugs are everywhere. I know you don't care, but Thing does." Kira looked at the appendage. Kira chuckled a little when she saw Thing swatting away the bugs while he was on Wednesday's shoulder.

"You're the second person who actually cared for a hand," Wednesday said and turned to go back. Kira followed her, taking the sign that they were going back.

"Oh, that's awful. I bet you're the first." Kira spoke, looking at the disembodied hand.

"Actually it's Enid. I'd get rid of him if I could." Wednesday said. Thing acted offended but for real, no one would think that Wednesday wouldn't care on a single hand. "Looks like you've got another enthusiast that you can invite for an hour talk of nonsense and manis session." Wednesday turned to Thing. "That's if Bolton's into it." This time the goth looked at the girl.

Kira smiled at Wednesday and it was the most dangerous act she could do towards the goth. How many times she was put into bad situation after a single smile for her soulmate?

The fact it lasted for a second made it hilarious, too. It was well paid though. Because with that shot of smile, Wednesday felt that familiar-unfamiliar feeling again. Only this time, she can't tell if she enjoyed it.

"I think it's fine. Enid gets to join you say?" Kira asked. Thing signed excitedly as if a boy who got a new playmate. Wednesday saw a glint of light towards their mission to know the ginger but somehow she felt... what do you call it? Jealous? Hearing Kira call or mention the werewolf made Wednesday feel it. "Lovely," Kira replied to Thing.

"You should go back now," Wednesday said, ignoring the weird feeling that was emitted by the ginger. Only then, did Kira realize that Wednesday meant that Thing and her were staying.

"You're not going back with me?"

"You really think I'm here because I followed you?" Wednesday shot back. Kira was speechless for a second before she was able to make a response only for Wednesday to cut her off.

"I—"

"Let me clear up things with you, Bolton. I'm here for an important search. Just so happened that I saw you leaving your friends."

"Whoa, okay. No need to be defensive."

"Just clearing, in case you truly are like the other students who believe in stupid rumors."

Kira blinked and glanced at Thing who was back on watching the two. "They said you'll murder me in sleep, that's not true then?"

"It can be."

Kira scoffed as she raised her two hands in defeat. "Whoa 'kay, hint taken. Goodluck with your important search." Kira started to leave the woods slightly disappointed. Well, it wasn't like she can't follow Wednesday without Wednesday knowing.

Right. Kira won't just sit and do nothing. So when she came back to Nevermore, instead of going back to her dorm, she headed to the library.

"I knew I would see you here, Ms. Bolton."

Kira's mood turned gray once again when she saw the principal. Weirdly enough she saw him standing outside the library as if he was waiting for her. Kira told herself to calm down. She suddenly remembered what Xavier did and of course, she should have expected that he'd show up. Bad things happen unexpectedly.

"Looks like news is real that you spend much time here in the library," Nohm said, pushing his hands in his jacket's pocket. "No wonder why your academic records are spectacular. And with you joining the Fencing club, your sports track would be the same too."

"I'm sorry but I don't remember signing in on that club," Kira said.

"Mr. Thorpe did and—"

"Exactly. Xavier did. He's just my captain in one of the clubs you forced me to choose because you want the students of this school to be well-rounded. Xavier told me that if he don't convince me to join the Fencing club, you'd remove me from Archery. It's fine with me, it'll give me more significant time for myself than being in a club that was being led by someone who doesn't think of the others."

"Kira, you are wasting a big opportunity."

"Opportunity of what exactly? I get that you're the principal, sir. And being concerned for your student is one of the things principals do. But I don't need your concern. I'm well capable of graduating with good grades. You'd be surprised by the things I knew, actually." Kira said, keeping her calm demeanor.

The principal sighed and there was a sense of unknown demeanor that Kira couldn't distinguish. She chose to ignore it, she didn't really like the principal in the first place, and her reason could be personal.

"I'll see around, Ms. Bolton."

"Thank you, sir. Have a good night." Kira walked past the principal and just as she was about to enter, her roommate appeared who also went to the library to look for her.

"Kira!" Sammy clung her arm on the girl's shoulder as she saw the principal too. "Principal Nohm, Hello— I mean Good evening, sir."

The principal only nodded and told the girls to go back to their dorm before lights out. Of course, none of them really care. Even the principal didn't. As Nohm left, Sammy faced the girl and looked around. As she made sure no one was around, she leveled the girl, thanks to their height difference. "What happened? Did he talk about the fencing club?"

Kira hummed tiredly. The thought of checking Wednesday through astral form drifted. Sure suppressing your emotions is a hard task. As Kira started to walk back to their dorm, Sammy followed her. She also explained that she talked to Xavier and the boy felt sorry for what he did and said that he would apologize right away. The problem though, he didn't see the girl. No one knows where she went. No one knows she had a time with her soulmate that she was avoiding before and suddenly things changed in the blink of an eye.

"Oh, I brought dinner in case you want to eat."

"Thanks, that's really kind of you."

"No problem. I will probably be leaving for a while. Enid called me after I talked to Xavier. I think girlie has a problem."

Kira frowned wondering what could it be but then hearing Enid's name reminded her of her plan of following the goth. Kira didn't stop Sammy when she said she had to go. As Kira was alone in their dorm, she locked the door and went to the side of her bed. And there, she started to look for the goth while in her astral form.

Nothing happened that whole night. Kira knew that Wednesday wasn't lying when she said she needed to do something. But staying around here for a couple of hours didn't tell her what Wednesday was trying to do. All the goth did was wander the forest as if she was memorizing a map of a maze. Good thing though, she was still able to make sure that Wednesday would be fine. It wasn't like the goth needed protection but Kira knew too well what she had to do.

Meanwhile, that night was not an ordinary night for Wednesday. Maybe because of her werewolf roommate who didn't howl the whole night. She didn't really mind if Enid did. It was one of many things that Enid do that she was already used to.

What made Wednesday's night unordinary was the dream she had. She knew it was a dream because, in it, she was standing right in front of herself.

She was facing herself.

Weirdly enough, the dream was oddly familiar to Wednesday too. The place was the outside of the Gates' mansion, and seeing her expression tells her that the other version of herself wasn't sure about the place.

"Goody." The other Wednesday spoke as she stared across the gate where Wednesday's standing.

Just then, Wednesday realized that she was inside the mansion's gate while staring at the other Wednesday.

"You are the raven in my bloodline."

Wednesday wasn't sure but she heard the voice coming right from her. In the blink of an eye, she was out of the gate.

"Wednesday."

The other Wednesday faced her and spoke. "I was told you could help me how to control my ability."

Hold on...

"To stop Crackstone, this place you must seek."

"Do you always speak in riddles?" The other Wednesday asked.

"Do you always seek simple answers?"

"Goody."

"Goody Addams."

"Goody, wake up."

"Wednesday." Wednesday's eyes flutter open and her first sight was being her roommate. She debated if she should accept the principal's offer of new roommate but seeing her roommate's frustrated expression makes her tad worry.

"I can't sleep, Wednesday."

Wednesday glared at her roommate as the werewolf started to explain. She did expect that the blonde was still awake. After all, no howl at night was too good to be true.

"And what am I supposed to do with that?"

Enid pouted not knowing what to answer. But there was a reason why she woke up the girl.

"Talk to me?" Enid suggested. Truthfully, her werewolf wanted to jump in the goth's bed. When a werewolf found their mate, their urge to be with that mate may build stronger or unstoppable. As for Enid, she can still hold herself.

Enid actions didn't go unnoticed by the disembodied hand who was also woke up due to the noises.

Wednesday looked at the clock, feeling a bit annoyed. She can't still understand what her dream is about.

"It's late, Enid."

Enid sighed disappointedly. How can she say that her wolf has been craving interaction with her mate? The only decent time they were together was supposedly dinner time but then Wednesday went out to, of course, follow the mysterious ginger.

"Fine. Want to talk about what you were having a while ago before I woke you up?" Enid asked, still trying to shoot her shot.

Wednesday paused as she wondered for a second before she realized what Enid meant to say. Thing was also confused as he was asleep. It wa safe to assume that Enid's been awake when Wednesday's asleep.

"Nothing, just a very odd... Dream." Wednesday spoke.

"Oh! What is it about? You know, I'm kind of a genius when it
