I was still stuck on this island, one of the only good news is that glider is still with me...She only goes away to bring back food...though i haven't asked her to do it, she does it anyway....I'm glad...to have someone with me, even though it's a dragon...I'm probably one of the first one to gain a dragons trust...maybe even ride her, but...well you know, underwater dragon, with me, a human? Doesn't really mix to ride the dragon, maybe if i found a way to, i don't know, build something that allows me to breath underwater, then maybe it could work...

But i don't have anything so far, since this is a island that i know for sure, nobody has found yet...hmm...i should explore a bit more, to see what this island has to offer...oh wait gliders back, gotta tell her where I'm going..

I walk up to her, she drops fish down on the ground, "Glider, thank you for all you have down for me. Like you could have killed me like any other dragon but you didn't...I'm glad we met, even though it means i might not get to see my family for a long time..." i tell her, she purrs and i smile.

"Glider, i think I'm going to explore this place...now don't look at me like that." i say as she gives me the 'Eyes'. " i have to see what this island has and what areas i should avoid. I mean, no adventure, nothing gained. If i don't check it out, this island might be dangerous. I wouldn't want to stay somewhere that could be harmful to one of us." i finished saying.

She still giving me that look...along with worry in them.."Don't worry, I'll be fine. If there's trouble I'll run and shout." i say as i start to walk away.

I started exploring, so far so good. Nothing dangerous, after a while though, i find a cave....should i go in?...yeah I'm totally going in...

I walk in and walked a bit deeper. Then i froze, was that a dragon?...i hope not, i may have befriended a scauldron, but it doesn't mean i can do it with other dragons...so i slowly back away...wait...that was only the tail...wasn't it?

...Oh man...don't tell me...I'm going to bump into whatever it is right now...and it was like Odin or someone else heard me, i bump into something.

....I don't want to look back...but...it just picked up my curiosity....i want to know what's behind me...dragon? Or something worse...so i slowly turn around and look up....yep...things just got worse..it's a...titan wing zippleback...i froze out of fear...they could be very like...protective of their nests and all that stuff...i got the unfortunate luck of walking into one...but to be fair, i thought they lived in Forrest and not caves...

..I guess i was wrong...oh well....i hope i don't die a very painful death...but knowing my luck, it might just happen or something else will...like glider...so i just stared at the titan wing zibbleback...not moving an inch...then the zippleback moves and picks me up by my shirt....why? ...oh well...whatever happens next can be anyone's guess...

The dragon moves farther into the cave, i, just hanging from it's-don't-know-gender-yet-jaws...I'm kinda afraid to move..but i am somewhat swinging back and forth in the jaws of a dragon so...yeah, hard not to move...after a while, the dragon stops moving and sets me down...i look up after i turned around to face the dragon...i stared directly into the eyes of the dragon and then i somehow knew, she was like glider, she wouldn't hurt me...yet i still have no clue how i know the dragons a she...like glider....i guess it's because mothers can be overprotective of children so...maybe that's why?

I slowly put my hand out in front of me and looked away. I waited for what seemed like hours but was only for a few seconds before i felt the familiarly of the face pressing against my hand. I relaxed my shoulders after i realized i tensed out of reflex. I looked back, i smiled. I slowly moved a bit closer, petting the head. She purrs at me...i then freeze, horror in the pit of my stomach...i have to name her...I'm horrible at names...why....whhhhhhyyyyyyyyy?!

...Oh well, I'll get over it and somehow find a name that fits...somehow...maybe when she does something different or just something that stood out to me...

~ years later ~

It's been years since i was thrown overboard, I've trained hard. To protect myself and this island, i even leave and go to other island and protect dragons there as well...now i have a lot of dragons that i trust and who in return, trust me. Half are females and the other half are males. Though i did find this, well i just decided to call them dragon lenses, because they remind me of a dragons eye. The first one i found was hidden inside this small chest in snapper and jaws cave...nest...whatever...well how i named them was kinda a funny story to those not on the receiving end or so...jaws got her name because her jaws were really hard and could break a boulder into pieces between her jaws...Snapper, well, she likes to snap at everyone she doesn't like, she snapped a boulder into two pieces. Together i call her jawsnapper, she liked her name really well...a little too well if you ask me but nobodies asking...well that was how i named her...not bad for an eight year old at that time.

I'm still not good at naming, even at this age, now back to before i explained how i named jawsnapper. I ended up finding four more dragon lenses. All in different spots that are hard or just plain ridiculous to hide them in...i keep them all on me, in different places. I made one into a neckless, the only way to get it off, well...only i can get it off...the other two, i put in my shoes, well not exactly...it's hidden, like the first one i found in the treasure chest. Then the other one, i made a small pouch and put it in it and sealed it tightly. Then i put it on the other necklace i made. Like the first one. The last one...well...it's a secret, no one will know until the times right....

I've been training, to get stronger...i, at the time, thought i might maybe see my family if i can get a bit stronger. I would like to protect them and all those who come to me for protection. Even enemies can come to me at a time when they need help or protection. That's who i am, those that need it and come to me, are under my care, my protection. No matter who it is, even if the others complain, that can't make me budge on my decision. Though, if i find out that someone under my care is trying to destroy my hard work and everything that I'm doing or so, then they will know true pain.

So i also planted traps everywhere that i could think of that i know someone would end up at, dragon or no dragon. I made sure the others knew what area to avoid and if they couldn't help it, then i showed them where to avoid stepping at or so. Just in case when we had an intruder or something. I also made a trigger in everyplace, so those who step or trip over, it would come to the cave and set off one. For each trigger, i have a different thing to go off. So i know which area it is.

Then a few of them went off, intruders...it has to be because i warned all of them. I then put some of the clothes i made over me, i pulled it up to cover half my face and pulled up the hoodie so it covered most of the top of my face, leaving only my eye's to be seen. Then i was off, going up in the tree's, unseen, unheard, and unnoticed. I moved carefully, to make sure no one knew i was there at all. I set off some of my traps in the areas i knew someone was in. Then i left to that other place. This time it was two people, twins...i think...they were arguing with each other. They had a zibbleback, a little farther away from them but still close.

I move closer, then i tackle them both, hearing them shout something as i pin them down with two of the weapons i made. Both at their necks, i didn't look to closely at the faces as i heard more people and dragons coming. If it came down to it, i will call the other dragons to help me. I look over at them. I assumed the leader was the guy with brown hair...is that a nightfury? I don't know if i seen one...i think...no wait...my dragon is a nightfury too...why didn't i notice it sooner? Argh I'm stupid...

Then i heard him, "Ruffnut! Tuffnut!" he said. My eye's widen in shock and i looked down fast and leaned closer to see their faces....ruffnut...tuffnut...i need to make sure, it might not be them, even with their names. So i looked back up and said, "ruffnut and tuffnut..that's their names...right?"

They looked surprised, as if they thought i wasn't going to talk or something. "Yes, now please don't do anything to them that will hurt them." he said. Ah, i was right, he was the leader.

Then to their surprise, i put my weapons up and get off them. "Why didn't you say so? I will never hurt a Thorston." i said as i pulled them up. They blinked in surprise and stared at me with curious eye's. They had a hint of confusion too. Then the stupid looking one in the group says, "wow, i never would have thought that we would find someone who won't hurt the twins and already put his weapons up. Nor did i think that because of the twins, we probably won't be fighting against this guy on his turf...."

I ignore their looks of confusion as i stared at my cousins who i haven't seen in so long. Tuffnut...Ruffnut...i missed you...my cousins...my family....then someone else says, "I don't understand, why did you say you won't hurt a thorston?" i look over to who say it and i saw a blond man...

Everyone looks at me with curious eyes as they wait for my answer. "I...will never hurt family..." i said as i pulled down my hood and pulled the other clothes that covered my face down. They all looked surprised and confused, except my cousins, who had shocked looks. "Gruffnut? Is that you?" they said at the same time. The other's looked at them with surprise, like as if, they know him?

"Yes...it's been so long my dear cousins!" i said as i pulled them into a hug. They hugged back, a lot harder them my hug, which surprised and confused me. "Ruff, tuff, you know him?" the leader asks my cousins who still haven't let me go.

"Of course we know him." ruff says as tuff says, "yeah he's our cousin."

"No i met, how come you never told us about him when you talk about the others?" he asked with confusion. We shared looks.

"Ok what's with the sharing looks thing?" the stupid one says with annoyance.

"Well...we all thought he was dead...until now that is..." they both said.

"What do you mean thought he was dead?" he asked.

"Well..gruffnut was coming over to visit us when he was eight...but..." ruffnut started saying before tuffnut took over, "They were attacked by enemies, one managed to sneak aboard..." then ruff took over, " our older cousin was going to be attacked...but.." tuff took over, "he told us gruffnut jumped on him to keep him safe from being attacked unaware at that time..." ruffnut took over, "the enemy managed to grab gruffnut by the foot and..." they both said the next few words at the same time, "Threw cousin gruffnut off the boat..." then it was ruff talking, "They went to go look for him after the managed to defeat them and get some help but...they couldn't find him...so.." tuffnut took over, "we thought he was dead..."finally finished with that, they hugged me even tighter.

"Tuff, Ruff, not so tight..." i said softly to them, their grip lessened but still held me in a firm grip. I didn't dare look to see what the other's expressions were. Then a dragons roar was heard really close. I smiled, which was left unnoticed. It's-!

Then the dragon came out and looked over to see me in my cousins grip. She growls at them. It's because i was there in my cousins grip, she doesn't know them...the others looked uncomfortable and their dragons looked ready to fight. My cousins grip tighten a bit. She growls at them when they did that.

"Tuff, Ruff...let go.." i said. "What? Why?" they asked. "Just do it." they let me go. I started walking to her, she stops growling. I put my hand on her head as she purrs. "This is darksky, my nightfury." i said as they took a look closer to realize it was indeed a nightfury.

"Well come on, are you coming?" i said as i started walking away. The others look at each other. My cousins follow right away as the others follow as well. Hmm..i hope they can handle the others well...
