The office was steeped in quiet tension, the dim light from the desk lamp casting soft shadows across the room. The case files were sprawled over the surface, but neither Lee Know nor Y/N seemed to care anymore. The weight of the investigation had faded into the background, replaced by a much heavier, unspoken tension hanging between them.

Lee Know stood with his back to her, his hand gripping the edge of the desk as he stared at the scattered notes. Y/N, leaning casually against the wall, watched him in silence, her sharp gaze tracing the lines of his shoulders, the way his tie hung loosely from his neck.

"Minho," she said, her voice soft but commanding.

He turned his head slightly, his sharp profile catching the light. "Hmm?"

"You're tense," she remarked, pushing off the wall and taking a slow step toward him.

He exhaled, a faint smirk tugging at the corner of his lips. "And you're stating the obvious."

Y/N stopped just behind him, close enough to feel the heat radiating off his body. Her hand reached out, brushing over his shoulder and sliding down to his tie. She tugged gently, forcing him to turn and face her fully.

"You know what they say about stress relief," she teased, her lips curling into a mischievous smile.

His dark eyes locked onto hers, a flicker of something dangerous—and undeniably magnetic—crossing his gaze. "Y/N," he warned, his voice low and gravelly, though he didn't pull away.

She didn't respond with words. Instead, she leaned in, her hands gliding up his chest until they rested on his collar. Her fingers deftly unfastened the top button of his shirt, her eyes never leaving his.

Lee Know's breath hitched, his restraint faltering. In a swift, deliberate motion, he closed the space between them, his hands finding her waist as his lips captured hers.

The kiss was electric, a release of weeks of unresolved tension. Y/N responded instantly, her arms wrapping around his neck as she pressed against him. His hands slid down to her hips, gripping tightly as he backed her against the desk.

Her breath hitched when he lifted her effortlessly onto the edge of the table, the cold surface a sharp contrast to the heat between them. His lips left hers, trailing down her jawline and to the sensitive spot just beneath her ear.

"Minho," she whispered, her voice trembling with both need and anticipation.

His name on her lips spurred him on. His fingers tangled in her hair as he claimed her mouth again, this time slower but no less passionate. Her hands slid under his shirt, her nails grazing his skin and eliciting a low groan from him.

"You drive me insane," he murmured against her lips, his voice husky and raw.

"Good," she replied breathlessly, her fingers tugging his tie free and tossing it aside.

He chuckled darkly, his lips curving into a smirk. "You're trouble."

"And you love it," she shot back, her eyes gleaming with playful defiance.

His response was to kiss her again, his hands roaming her sides, memorizing every curve. The desk creaked under their combined weight as papers fluttered to the floor, forgotten in their fervor.

Time seemed to blur, the world outside their small office disappearing entirely. It was just the two of them—fire, urgency, and something deeper, something neither of them dared to put into words.

As they finally broke apart, gasping for air, Lee Know rested his forehead against hers, his hands still holding her firmly in place. His lips brushed against hers one last time, softer now, as if savoring the moment.

"We should get back to the case," he muttered, though his actions betrayed his words as he stole another quick kiss.

Y/N laughed softly, her hands cupping his face. "In a minute," she said, pulling him back in.

And in that moment, nothing else mattered.
