Soul Synchronizing had been an experience. Seeing everything he'd been through definitely had a mental strain on someone. You'd fallen asleep not long after it was over. Sans hadn't minded. He actually found it adorable. He kept you close, eventually falling asleep himself. He woke up when he noticed her presence was gone. She'd left for some reason or another, and he couldn't help but whimper. He figured you would have had to go back to work though, and decided to wait patiently.

He didn't have to wait long as you came in. You smiled at him immediately. "Good morning Sans. Are you feeling better today?" You asked. It was a standard procedure question, but you were asking because you were legitimately concerned. One, you recently found out you were his soulmate and you'd fallen for him even before you knew that. Two, he'd shared a painful past which could have good and bad effects on a person. "i'm feeling better now, thanks dr. [Y/N]." He was grinning up at you with his legs criss-cross and tail wrapped around them as he sat in the center of the bed. You shook your head amusedly at him. "Just [Y/N] is fine. Or [N/N] if you want." A yellow blush lit up his face. "Hey. Wanna walk with me?" Sans didn't hesitate to hope off the bed and follow you as you lead the way through Asylum. You did have to check a few other patients, which Sans gladly helped with, but soon you were approaching the exit of building. Sans slowed to a stop, uncertain. "It's ok, Sans." You took his hand and pulled him along gently. "I got permission from Toriel so long as we don't go far." He blushed and nodded.

Sans took in the scenery around him. The last time he'd been out here, he wasn't all here, so he hadn't really appreciated the sights that he was enjoying now. Best of all was probably the fact that you were still holding his hand as you walked along a pathway. He discreetly tried to intertwine his phalanges with your fingers. You didn't protest against it as you both walked in comfortable silence. He thought he'd succeeded, until you gave his hand a gentle squeeze. His eyelights darted to you as he blushed. You smiled lightly.

You both stopped and relaxed beside one of the many lakes of Waterfall. "this place is beautiful.. if i didn't know anybetter, i would have thought the ceiling crystals were real stars.." You gave him a curious look. "You like the stars?" He nodded. "got my paws on one of his astronomy books and got hooked. i've always wanted to see the real stars, and thanks to you, i have.. even if they were just memories." It was your turn to blush at Sans words. "It's no problem. I am happy to help, when you need it." You promised. He was turning yellow again, which made you giggle. "stars, you are to adorable for your own good." Sans replied boldly, after recovering of course. You smiled brightly at his genuine compliment. "Thank you! You're such a sweetheart!" Silence fell again as Sans turned into a lemon again. You would have to get him used to compliments and praise. The poor skeleton looked like he was dying. "Let's head back and eat, hm?" He gave a small nod, hesitated, then leaned forward, lightly placing his teeth on your cheek. It was your turn to internally die of cuteness. SANS KISSED YOU!!!
