Chapter Three:
beta ― a term for addressing people significantly younger, equivalent to child/son

Chapter Four:
Namaste ― a greeting in hindi, like hello, usually for people older than you
Sona ― Ruhi's nickname by her grandmother, means gold in hindi

Nani Mumma ― Grandmother's nickname by Ruhi, nani means maternal grandmother and mumma means mom

Chapter Five:
didi  ― elder sister, usually used to address a woman older than you but only by a few years
dal makhani ― Indian main course dish (image attached)
haldi ― turmeric in hindi

Chapter Seven:
sanyas ― a more dramatic way of saying retirement in hindi
