The young witch stood at the door behind Alastor "Mad-Eye" Moody, Kingsley Shacklebolt, Remus Lupin and Daedalus Diggle. The group was there to transport fifteen year old Harry Potter safely to Grimmauld Place, or headquarters of the Order of the Phoenix.

"Alohomora," Moody muttered and the lock clicked. The front door to the muggle house swung open and with their wands illuminated, magical folk entered.

The house was dark, and as the others marched quietly towards the sitting room, the witch with bright purple hair slipped up the stairs.

"Tonks! What are you doing?" Moody whispered harshly.

"It's late at night, the boy's gotta be in bed!" Tonks said, continuing up the stairs.

She reached a closed bedroom door. Moody pushed in front of her to unlock the door. It swung open. There, stood the boy with the scar and round glasses, his wand at the ready.

"Put that down, Potter," Moody grumbled.

"He looks just like I imagined," Tonks grinned. "You're not packed at all? Blimey," Tonks pushed her way into the cluttered bedroom. There was a drawing of a snowy owl pinned to a cork board. A number of Daily Prophets lay stacked on the desk. Tonks peered at herself in the grubby mirror hanging on the open wardrobe door.

"I think pink is more of my color," She said, as her bright purple hair changed to pink.

"What are you doing here?" Harry asked.

"Taking you out of here, of course. Pack up and come downstairs in two minutes," Moody stomped out of the room.

"Who are you?" Harry asked Tonks. She stuck out her hand and gave him a lopsided smile.

"Nymphadora Tonks, but you can call me Tonks. I'm an auror," She shook his hand. "Want help with all this?"

Before Harry could respond, Tonks waved her wand, and Harry's robes, socks, parchment, quills, ink, books and more flew into his trunk, which sealed itself.

"I'm not usually great at household spells, but I recently got the hang of that one. Bloody useful, if you ask me," Tonks said.

"Thanks," Harry stammered, grabbing his trunk and following Tonks downstairs.

"Ready?" Moody said, looking rather out of place standing in the muggles' floral sitting room. The man had a scarred face and a prosthetic eye, that flicked about the room, out of time with his other eye.

"Off we go," Kingsley gestured towards the door, and the small party walked out to the dark and deserted street. A street lamp flickered and buzzed loudly.

Moody waved his wand, and a broom flew into each witch and wizard's hand.

"I hear you're a good flyer," Tonks winked at Harry as she mounted her broom.

"I'm alright," Harry said, scrambling onto his.

"Keep an eye on him, Nymphadora," Moody grumbled.

"Don't call me Nymphadora!" Tonks protested loudly. She was hushed by the others. If any muggle pulled back their curtains, they would see an odd looking group in funny clothing clutching broomsticks.

They flew in formation Tonks taking the lead, rising high above the muggle houses. Big Ben and Parliament came into view as they flew over the illuminated city. People were small specks on the streets under the street lamps.

Tonks hopped off her broom on the street outside 12 Grimmauld Place. Moody banged his staff on the street, and the apartment buildings began to rattle and slide aside, revealing another apartment hidden in between. Tonks glanced at Harry to find him staring in awe at the sight before him.

"Wonderful, isn't it?" Tonks bumped his arm.

"What?" He said, shaken out of his trance.

"Magic," Tonks grinned.

She followed Moody up the steps and into the house. To newcomers, the eerie hallway with cobwebs hanging from the ceiling certainly appeared frightening.

"Oi!" Tonks cried out as she collided with the troll leg umbrella holder hidden by shadows, and both tumbled to the ground with a loud clatter.

"Watch it, Tonks!" Moody grumbled as a loud woman's voice began screeching down the hallway.

"Filthy half-breeds! Mudbloods in my home! Disgusting, foul—"

She was silenced by a wave of Kingsley's wand, and the portrait's curtains snapped shut.

"You alright?" Remus Lupin heaved Tonks back to her feet.

"Yeah," She dusted herself off. "I'm bloody clumsy, that's all."

Remus gave her smile, before continuing on to the kitchen where the meeting was taking place.

"Harry dear! It's so wonderful to see you! Head on upstairs, you're staying with Ron, first door on the right," Molly Weasley embraced Harry, who looked startled.

"Harry!" Sirius Black exclaimed, moving through the crowded hallway.

"Sirius!" Harry grinned, hugging his godfather warmly. Tonks slipped by them into the kitchen, where she poured herself a cup of hot tea. The reunion was sweet, but she was cold from the flight.

"All went well?" Arthur Weasley asked, standing over a large piece of crumpled parchment, which appeared to be a map of a neighborhood.

"Yep, no mishaps," Tonks nodded, sitting down and putting her feet up on the chair beside her.

"Good. Harry's alright?" Arthur asked as Remus, Moody, Molly and Sirius entered the room.

"He looks like he could use a good meal, but other than that, unscathed," Tonks nodded.

"I know, I know, I'll send him up some supper shortly," Molly said, closing the door behind her.

"May I sit here?" Remus asked, touching the back of the chair Tonks had her feet on.

"Of course, of course," She said hurriedly, moving her feet down.

Tonks admittedly had a hard time paying attention to the meeting. She was the Order's newest member, having joined in June. But tonight, Sirius kept arguing with Molly Weasley about concealing information from Harry.

"He should know as much as us, if he's the one that's got to take down You-Know-Who." Tonks mumbled under her breath.

"There's no arguing with Molly," Remus whispered to Tonks with a smile.

She smiled back, glad someone else agreed with her. Remus's eyes were bright behind his tiredness. He had a few nasty scars across his face, but they didn't take away from his handsomeness. His brown hair seemed to be graying too early, and his robes were a bit battered. Tonks was told by Moody upon joining that Remus had been bitten by a werewolf by the name of Fenrir Greyback at a young age. Tonks was not afraid of Remus though.

"Off to bed with all of you," Molly said once the meeting had concluded.

"Remus, don't bother leaving. There's plenty of spare bedrooms" Sirius said, catching his old friend's arm.

"I've got a new assignment for you tomorrow, Tonks. I expect to see you bright and early," Moody said gruffly to her as she pulled on her cloak and nodded.

"Good night, Tonks dear. Come by for tea whenever you please," Molly grasped Tonks' hands briefly. Though Molly had her own children, she seemed to think it was her responsibility to look after everyone.

"I will, I promise," Tonks said, following Moody and others down the hallway.

"Good night Tonks," Remus said softly. Tonks looked over her shoulder to see him leaning out of the kitchen door and held a hand up to say good bye.

"Night," she smiled, turning back around and hurrying after the others.
