I groan as I look outside and realize that we are still lost in the middle of the desert. I hoped when we turned the corner that wed be back on track. We were on our way to a waterpark and got horribly lost.

"Look! There's something up ahead." my girlfriend Anna excitedly exclaims.

I look over to what she's pointing at. It looks like a massive amusement park. I can see all sorts of rides and buildings. There even seems to be a skyscraper.

"Let's just stop here. This looks like a lot more fun than the waterpark. I just hope they have a hotel for guests." I say.

"Hopefully they can give us directions back home too." Anna replies.

We pull into the parking lot. There are a few other cars and some purple and green busses. When Anna gets out of the car, I immediately grab her hand and rush towards the gate.

"Hey, do you guys have hotels in there? If you do how much is it per night and how much is the entry fee?" Anna asks. She's the practical one in this relationship.

"Your stay and accommodation are included for $100. You'll have to pay for your own food and drinks though." The actor replies.

His makeup looks so real. He has purple horns and eyes, with green skin. This must have taken him hours to put on.

I pay for us both, since it's kind of my fault we are lost.

"Enjoy your time at Horrorland." the worker says with a sinister grin.

"Thank you!" Anna and I reply simultaneously.

We decide to get our bags and take them to the hotel before we do anything.

The actor, I learned that they were called Horrors, gave us a map of the massive theme park.

"We need to go past death lagoon and the vampire camp to get to the hotel." Anna states.

I groan a bit as I haul my multiple bags towards the direction of the hotel.

After what feels like forever, we reach the hotel. I let out an excited squeal when I that the entire hotel is black with red streaks. It looks like a murder scene. The windows are painted to look like eyes.

The entire park has a horror theme.

We quickly get our room key and head towards our room. Once we unpack, we decide to go to the lagoon we passed on our way to the hotel. It's a really hot day today and I really want to swim.

In about 30 minutes we are at the lagoon. It's nothing like I expected it to be.

The water is pitch-black. It looks like ink. I decide to just get in. I'm too hot to care now.

There are two children playing at the other end of the lagoon. They look over at me. I smile and give them a small wave.

Anna chuckles and I look up at her. She loves children and used to work at a daycare.

She doesn't like swimming so she decided to sit on the edge with her feet in the murky water.

I playfully roll my eyes at her. A scream draws my attention away from Anna.

I look over to where the children were playing and see that both of them are gone. I frantically get up and try to spot them.

"Where'd they go?" I ask frantically.

"Hey calm down hun. They probably just left or that was just a part of the theme park attractions. " Anna replies.

Once I'm fully out of the pool, I walk over to where the kids were sitting and see a blood streak leading into the water...

I really hope Anna is right and that was an act.
