Harry kept a tight grip on Uma's waist as she cried into his shoulder. The shock of losing her friend and second mate had hit her hard. "I can't believe he's gone." She whispered. Harry kissed her forehead before looking into her eyes. "Me either. He was my best friend, but we'll get through this. Let's get out of here, love."
Harry led Uma from the room to the front hall where Ben was standing with Mal, filling in his parents on what had occurred. He opened his mouth to greet the royals when a gasp from Uma cut him off. He turned to see her staring at the floor with wide eyes. He looked down and that's when he saw the large puddle of liquid at Uma's feet. "Harry," she whispered in disbelief. "My water just broke."
He froze as Uma's words sunk in. Her water broke. Their baby was coming. He was going to be a dad. "Harry!" Uma snapped as she clutched her stomach, causing him to snap back to reality. "Right. Baby coming, get to the hospital, let's go." Harry rambled, guiding her towards the door. "We'll take you in the limo." Ben chimed in, following them outside with Mal.
"Thank ye, Ben." He replied as he helped Uma into the waiting limo. "Where's everybody going?" They looked up to see Ruby getting out of the limo behind them. "Uma's water broke, we're heading to the hospital." Mal explained as Ben followed Harry into the limo. Ruby nodded excitedly. "Awe, can't wait to meet the little baby! Ryan is already there with Gus. I came back to let Tony and Gil know how he's doing." Mal's face fell at her words. "Ruby, Gil was killed during the fight."
Ruby's hands flew to to her mouth as she gasped in disbelief. "He's dead? I can't believe it, how awful." She wiped the tears from her cheeks she turned towards the castle. "I need to check on Quinn, she must be heartbroken." Mal I'm nodded as she climbed in the limo. "Go, we'll catch up with you later." She closed the door and watched Ruby run towards the castle as the limo pulled away.

Harry held Uma's hand as the contractions came more frequently. "You're doing great, love." He whispered in her ear. "Remind me to castrate you, aahh!" Uma muttered as another contraction hit. "The baby is crowning." The doctor announced, peeking around the corner of the sheet. Harry smiled as he turned his attention back to Uma. "See? The baby is almost here, just a few more pushes."
Uma pushed her way through another contraction as she squeezed his hand. "Okay, the head is out but I need you to stop pushing." The doctor called out. She looked at Harry in confusion before returning back to the doctor. "Why? I need to push." Dr. Possible sighed. "The cord is wrapped around the baby's neck. I need to remove it before we proceed or baby could suffocate."
Harry rubbed Uma's hand with his thumb is he peeked around the corner. He watched as the doctor slipped her fingers between the baby's neck and the cord before carefully unwrapping it. "Uma, the baby is safe so give me one last big push." Dr. Possible instructed. When the next contraction came Uma pushed with all her might. Moments later a loud wail filled the room.
"And we have a beautiful baby girl." The doctor smiled. "Would the father like to cut the cord?" Harry nodded as he took the forceps and cut where instructed. Dr. Possible handed the baby to a nurse who cleaned her up before taking her footprints and measurements. "Six pounds 4 ounces. 18 inches long." The nurse smiled, handing the swaddle baby to Uma. "She's perfectly healthy."
Uma smiled as she held her daughter. "She's beautiful Harry." He nodded as he kissed her cheek. "Just like her mother." Uma chuckled as the doctor finished cleaning up and settling her back into bed. As the nurse left, Mal poked her head in the door. "May we come in?" Uma nodded. "Of course." Mal walked into the room followed by Ben, Jay, Lonnie, Carlos, Jane, Evie, Doug, Ryan, Ruby, and Quinn. Once everyone was gathered inside, Mal asked the question on everyone's mind. "So what's her name?"
Harry and Uma shared a knowing smile. "Well," Uma began. "We wanted her name to be unique but we had a hard time deciding on a middle name. However, I think I've figured it out." Harry turned to her in surprise. "You have?" She smiled and nodded. "Everyone, meet Ulma Jessica Hook." He stared at her with wide eyes. "Ye named her after my mom. Why?" Uma smiled as she rocked Ulma. "I know how important your mom is to you. I figured allowing our daughter to carry on her name would be a simple tribute to her." Harry's eyes sparkled as he played with his daughter's hand. "Ulma Jessica Hook, I love it."
"I'm glad." Uma replied, gazing down at Ulma with a sad smile. "The question now is, who will be her godparents?" Evie walked over and sat on the edge of the bed. "That's not a question to worry about right now. I'm sure you will decide on someone." Harry sighed. "Ye don't understand. We did decide. Gil... Gil was supposed to be her Godfather." Silence filled the room as Harry's words sunk in. However, Quinn gave a small smile as she softly spoke. "Gil would love to be her Godfather."
Harry opened his mouth respond when a voice cut him off. "She's right, I would." Uma and Harry's heads whipped towards the doorway as their eyes widened in disbelief at the sight them. "G-Gil?" Uma stuttered out, still in shock. He nodded walking into the room. "It's me." Harry shook himself out of his stunned state and pulled him into a hug. "You're alive! We thought you were dead mate. How are you here?"
Gil chuckled as he pulled himself out of Harry's grasp. "I was dead Harry, but Ruby brought me back." The couple turned to the blonde haired princess. "You saved him?" Uma asked. Ruby nodded as she twirled her braided hair. "I did. Turns out I have my mother's magic. I never knew until today". Harry scratched his head. "You have magic? What kind of magic and save a person's life?" Ruby smiled. "Why don't I just tell you the story of what happened?"
2 Hours Earlier
Ruby rushed into the castle desperate to find her friend. "Where's Quinn!?" She asked, looking around at all the faces in the room. Lonnie stepped forward with a saddened expression. "Down the hall, last door on the right. Fair warning, it's not a pretty sight." Ruby nodded as she raced down the hall. When she reached the room, she was met by a heartbreaking sight.
"Oh Quinn." Ruby whispered, kneeling beside her as she pulled her into a hug. "I'm so sorry." Quinn sniffled as she pulled away to look up at Ruby. "That makes three." She whispered. Ruby was confused at her words until the realization hit her. "Today's the day your mom and brother died." She gasped. "Oh Quinn."
"I lost my mom too, and now my baby brother." Tony said softly as he sat next to Quinn. "You're not in this alone." Quinn choked out another sob as Tony pulled her into a hug. "My brother loved you very much. I can't replace him, but I'll do my best to be there for you. Gus and I both will. I promise."
Ruby's heart broke as she watched the two of them. Both had already lost people close to them and now, had lost another. She moved away from the two to examine Gil's lifeless body. It was clear he'd been stabbed in the heart. The scene reminded her of her parents' story except her dad had been stabbed in the abdomen. He had died, but her mother's tears had been able to release the magic that saved him even though her hair had been cut.
Ruby looked at her long braid that was draped over her shoulder. Her mother had been given her powers after her grandmother had ingested the sun drop flower. Her mother had saved her father after her hair had been cut, proving the magic was still inside her. Ruby held her hair in her hands. Was it possible her mother's magic was inside her? She had never tried to use it before, but maybe this was the time to find out.
Ruby placed her braid against Gil's wound and took a deep breath. Either she would be a hero or look really stupid but she had to try for Quinn, for the Gaston twins. "What are you doing?" Tony asked, still holding on to Quinn. "I'm going to try to bring him back." Ruby replied, before beginning to sing.
Flower, gleam and glow
Let your power shine
Make the clock reverse
Bring back what once was mine
Tony and Quinn watched in shock has a glow appeared from the roots of Ruby's hair and began to slowly travel down her braid.
Heal what has been hurt
Change the Fates' design
Save what has been lost
Bring back what once was mine
What once was mine
As she finished, Gil's wound we began to glow. The glow grew brighter before fading away, leaving the wound completely healed. Ruby stared at Gil as he lay motionless on the ground. "Please wake up. Please wake up." She quietly pleaded. After what felt like an eternity, Gil suddenly began to cough. He looked around the room in confusion before bolting upright. "Quinn!" Ruby placed a hand on his shoulder. "Gil calm down, she's right there." He turned and sighed in relief when he saw Quinn kneeling beside Tony.
"Gil!" Quinn cried, tackling him into a hug as she burst into tears once more. Gil wrapped his arms tightly around her. "Quinn, what's wrong?" She pulled away from his chest to look him in the eyes. "You died." She sniffled. His eyes widened in shock. "I did? But then how am I here?"
"I used my magic to revive you." Ruby replied. He looked at her in shock and gratitude. "Well thank you. I guess I owe you my life." Quinn moved out of the way as Tony pulled his brother into a hug. "I thought I lost you." He whispered. Gil returned the hug. "I'm sorry, for everything. I love you and Gus. I forgive you." Tony smiled as he pulled away. "I'm glad to hear that."
Gil chuckled as he felt arms wrap around his torso. He looked down and smiled at Quinn. "What are you doing?" She looked up at him with big eyes. "I love you, Gil." He smiled before the realization finally dawned on him. "You're talking! You said my name and that you love me! Like actually said it!" He cheered, hugging her tightly as she laughed.
Ruby smiled at the two, they were a perfect fit for each other. "Come on. Let's go tell the others so we can get to the hospital or we'll miss Uma having the baby!" Gil's eyes widened. "The baby is coming!? What are we waiting for? Let's go!"
🌟
"So you have magic hair that glows when you sing?" Harry questioned. Ruby nodded as he continued. "And when it glows it heals?" She chuckled at his dumbfounded expression. "Yes Harry."
"Wow, that's amazing Ruby. Thank you for bringing him back." Uma smiled as Ulma wriggled in her arms. She rocked her gently before turning to Gil. "So, would you like to hold your goddaughter?" Gil walked over to the bed and held out his arms nervously. "I'll try." Uma placed Ulma gently in his arms as he pulled her to his chest. Gil grinned proudly as he rocked her. "Hey there Ulma, I'm your Uncle Gil, your godfather."
Ulma squirmed in his arms before resting peacefully against his chest. He smiled as he took in her small features. "She looks like you Uma." Harry chuckled as he watched his best friend. "Yeah she does. I'm beginning to wonder if she got anything from me." Gil laughed at Harry's statement. "Of course she did. At least, she got your eyes."
Harry and Uma looked at each other in surprise. "She does?" Gill nodded. "Yeah, look they're blue." He bent down and showed them Ulma who was looking around with big blue eyes. "She does have my eyes." Harry smiled, looking at is daughter in awe. "But how? Shouldn't her eyes be brown?"
Doug took this as his cue to speak up. "Actually, it's quite possible. From what we learned in History of Heroes and Villains, it's known that Ursula has blue eyes. Meaning Uma got her brown eyes from her father. This tells us that Uma carries the genes for brown and blue eyes. Now, because you have blue eyes Harry, that means you only carry blue eye genes. In conclusion, when you look at the probability of Ulma having blue or brown eyes, it was a 50-50 chance."
Harry and Uma shared a surprised look. "So just to get this straight," Harry began. "You're telling me that our children have an equal chance of getting brown or blue eyes?" Doug nodded. "Precisely." Uma carries both genes so depending on which one she transferred to the baby, that will determine the eye color of the child. You can only provide the blue-eyed gene, Harry. This also means your brown-eyed children will be carriers of the blue-eye gene."
"Stop with the Biology, my head hurts." Gil groaned. The room filled with laughter as Ulma released a high-pitched wail. "Oh no. Did I do something wrong?" Gil asked. Uma chuckled as she held out her arms. "Hand her over, she's probably hungry." He handed Ulma over to Uma before walking over to stand by Quinn. "We'll all get going so you can take care of Ulma. Congratulations, both of you." Ben smiled.

Ben waited for everyone to leave before walking over to one of his guards. "I want you to stay and watch over my friends while they are here. The guard looked at the young king in surprise. "Your majesty, you know that I am prohibited-"
"Not anymore." Ben smiled, producing a document from his pocket and handing it to the guard who began to read it. "Is this real?" The guard asked, his eyes shining with hope. Ben nodded. "It is. After what happened with Gil and Uma going into labor, I figured it was time." The guard bowed, clutching the document to his chest. "Thank you King Ben, thank you so much."
