Ezra's eyes widened in shock as soon as his eyes met Spencer's.

"Holy crap." He said, still staring at Spencer. The whole class turned around and also stared. Spencer's cheeks started to burn, but she still couldn't take her eyes of Ezra or process what just happened. Ezra Fitz was her teacher. Spencer's luck almost was non existent and THIS proved it. Spencer wanted to scream until her lungs burnt. Afew people snickered and whispered, but the rest were in utter confusion as of what just went on. Spencer's eyes were still glued to Ezra's. After a few very long moments of silence throughout the whole class, Ezra finally spoke up.

"Uh well, we're going to learn about one of the most famous Shakespeare plays, Hamlet..."

Spencer was going to be sick. Everything made sense. Ezra said he was going to start his first teaching job and he went to Hollis. Getting a text from '-A' about Mr Montgomery being able to keep secrets when it had something to do with his students... Spencer almost gasped out loud. Mr Montgomery had an affair with one of his students! Did Aria know? Is that why they moved to Iceland for a year? No... That couldn't be it. Mr Montgomery wouldn't do that to Mrs Montgomery. Before Spencer knew it the bell rung and she hadn't listened to a word Ezra said during the lesson.

Ezra cleared his throat and stared at Spencer. Spencer stared into his eyes. His beautiful warm blue eyes. But she couldn't think of him like that like she did. And then it clicked in her head that she only met Ezra yesterday, and they just began something which could turn into a possible relationship. Spencer looked at Aria who was about to leave the classroom. Should she follow Aria or talk to Ezra? If she thought she was being delusional before, she definitely was being now.

Spencer picked up her bag and broke eye contact with Ezra. The classroom was empty. She had to get to Aria and ask her about Mr Montgomery and if she was this '-A' person. But what if she said no? Would that mean someone was messing with her... Or... Alison? But Ezra stood two feet away, and Aria had already left.

"Ezra," Spencer said. "I-I have no idea what to say."

Which was a lie. She was angry, upset and confused. But she was also longing, lost and hollow. She was totally isolated and needed someone. But now that person could never be Ezra. Spencer instantly felt her walls and barriers go up again.

"Spencer." Ezra almost whispered. He looked as if he was about to say something, but no words came out.

"I think I should go." Spencer said, heading towards the doorway. She froze. She wanted it to work but it was already over. No, it couldn't be. Spencer turned around and walked up to Ezra. She took a deep breath and suddenly he gently kissed her lips, but then she quickly broke apart. His lips were slightly chapped. She felt a warm feeling in her chest. It felt right. They felt right.

Spencer stared into his ocean blue eyes once again, taking in every detail. She grabbed his collar on his shirt towards her and quickly crashed her lips against his. She wrapped her arms around his neck and he kissed her back as passionately.

The bell rung again. Spencer had five minutes to get to her next lesson. Spencer broke the kiss.

"I wasn't expecting that." She said with her eyes widened.

"Me neither." He sighed, "You have to go Spencer."

Spencer grabbed her bag and rushed out of the classroom. Out of all people, Spencer Hastings was the one to fall for a teacher.

"Aria!" Spencer almost screamed at lunch break. All throughout maths she had been thinking of her and Ezra. They KISSED. Her feelings weren't one dimensional. But the problem was those feelings were not meant to exist between a teacher and his student. And someone KNEW that Spencer and Ezra were...involved before either of them realised that Spencer was his student. And that was very dangerous. She had to talk to Aria as quick as possible. But she had to start with small talk.

"Spencer? Spencer!" Aria said with a huge smile. They hugged tightly. Spencer never realised how much she missed Aria. Or how much she had hugged someone recently. It made her feel human.

"You're still tiny!" Spencer said with a huge grin on her face

"And I'm guessing you're still brainbox Spencer right?" Aria grinned back.

"How are you? How was Iceland? Why didn't you call me when you got back?" Spencer asked

"Well, I guess we drifted apart after..." Aria paused. The conversation became very silent. Aria definitely wasn't '-A'.

"I still can't believe it's been one year. It's like when I came back, I expected her to be striding down the halls with everyone staring at her in awe. Alison was a living example of someone who could make you feel special and unique and brilliant, but she could also ruin you and break you as a person. I imagine her on some distant tropical island, sipping on a cocktail, tanning in the sun. Chuckling when she remembered us." Aria said shaking her head. Spencer was shocked because she felt the exact same way.

"It's almost as if that she isn't gone. We're still stuck on Planet Alison." She said in a whisper. "She loved mysteries so much she became one." Silence again.

"Let's go to the cafeteria." Aria said

As they got their meals everyone stared at them. Spencer didn't realise it before but in thee halls too people were whispering about her and Alison. Now it was even worse and even the large lunch lady started to whisper to her skinnier friend who also began to stare. Aria and Spencer looked at each-other.

"Let's sit outside."

"So," Aria said "how are Hanna and Emily?"

"As you said before, we drifted apart. I haven't seen Emily all summer, I think she went to Thailand to build some houses. She's a bigger jock than before. And Hanna..." Spencer nodded towards a skinny, beautiful blond, wearing a mini skirt and a denim jacket, who was giggling with Mona Vanderwaal and holding a pink purse and sipping on a cappuccino.

"No way! Is that... Hanna?" Aria looked genuinely shocked. "When did that happen?"

"After Ali disappeared her and Mona transformed themselves into Rosewood's 'it girls'." Spencer said. Hanna pursed her lips together and waved at Aria and Spencer, then walked up to Sean and got into his car.

"Wow." She said and then paused. "Anyway Spence, I need to go, I have to visit the principle's office so he can update my student files. But I'll see you around. I've missed you so much!" Aria babbled while checking her watch and then picked up her bag.

"Wait, Aria!" Spencer yelled. Aria turned around. "Have you been getting any weird text messages recently? Has someone... Been messing with you?" Aria looked as if she was going to say something, but then she shook her head.

"Bye Spencer."

Spencer walked home. Her car had broken down, her phone had no service and it was pouring with rain and she was soaked. But all she could think about was '-A' and Ezra. Spencer sighed. Her life was the opposite from perfect. How did she end up so empty?

When she got into the Hastings household she had a hot shower and changed clothes and left the soaking ones in the bathroom.

Wren and Melissa were in the barn (the one SHE was supposed to moe into), probably organizing their wedding. She suddenly felt a pang of pain in her chest. She was supposed to spending tonight with Ezra in the Apple Grill.  She fell on to her bed, exhausted and switched on her laptop. She went on YouTube and searched 'calming music' and pressed the first option. Spencer then heard a small 'ping' noise from her laptop. She had an email...from '-A'.

"Oh my god." Spencer whispered. The email contained a message with an attachment.

'Do what I say bitch, unless you want these to get out when you least expect it. -A'

Spencer opened the attachment.

There were pictures of her and Ezra.

Kissing.
