Dani and I raced down the stairs, our Dad yelling "Ahhh! Scary Witches! Scary witches!" Pretending to be scared, making us giggle.

Max followed behind us with a hat and sunglasses on. "What about you, Max? What are you supposed to be?"

"A rap singer." Max spoke coldly.

"Oh," Dad said, "well, then, your hat should be on sideways, shouldn't it?" He said, moving Max's hat sideways.

"Everyone, say: Halloween!" Mom exclaimed holding up the camera.

Dad, Dani, and I all say in sync: Halloween! and smiled.

...

Max sat on the porch of the house we were at. Acting like a 'cool teenager.'

"Lighten up, Max." Dani said.

"Can we go home now?" He asked.

"No." Dani and I said together.

We all looked ahead and there were five or six teenagers causing havoc. Future drop outs probably.

"Let's just go this way." Max said leading us another way.

I started to follow when Dani walked towards the teen boys.

"Dani!" Max and I said.

"Ding-Ding. Ding-Ding." The plump teen said, raising his leg so Dani couldn't walk past.

"Stop and pay the toll, kid." A tall, skinny, blond said.

"Tell chocolate bars, no licorice." The plump boy said.

"Dump out your sack." The blond said.

"Drop dead, moron." Dani snapped at the boys.

I silently celebrated for her but payed attention to what would happen.

"Yo," plumpy said, "twerp. How'd you like to be hung off that telephone pole?"

"I'd just like to see you try, because it just so happens I have my older brother and sister with me." Dani said, turning around and beckoning us.

"Hollywood!" The boys shouted, then ran to each other and pretend to quiver.

"So, you're doing a little trick-or-treating." Blondie said while reenacting trick-or-treating and getting scared.

"I'm just taking my sisters around." Max snapped.

Blondie looked me up and down before eyeing his friends and giving an 'ok' hand gesture.

I glared and was thankful Max didn't see. "That's nice." Blondie said. "Whoa! I love the costume." He said smacking the Bill of Max's hat.

"But, what are you supposed to be? A new kid on the block?" They all laughed an over exaggerated laugh.

"For your information, he's a little leaguer!" Dani said.

Oh my lord. I wish she didn't say that. I thought to myself.

Then, they re-enacted a baseball pitch and swing.

I grabbed Max and Dani's hands and started walking past when plumpy stuck his finger in my chest.

"Wait a minute." He started, "Everybody pays the toll."

I slapped his hand off me and when he started to retaliate Max stepped in and said, "Hey! Ice, here. Pig out." And shoved the candy bag to plumpy.

We started walking away when plumpy called out, "And, Hollywood, the shoes fit great!" Before they started laughing their asses off.

"You should've punched them." Dani said.

"They would of killed me." He replied.

"At least you would've died like a man." I snapped as we arrived on the porch of the next house.

"Hey!" Max yelled and we turned to him. "You just humiliated me in front of half the guys at school! So collect your candy and get out of my life! Both of you!"

These words hurt me. I'm his little sister, we're almost exactly a year apart. Then I looked at Dani, she seemed like she was about to cry.

The lady just stepped out of the door to hand us candy when Dani shouted, "I wanna go home. Now!" And grabbed my hand and drug my to a bale of hay and cried in my lap.

I smoothed out her hair and patted her back while rocking her.

Max arrived and sat beside me. "Girls, I'm sorry." He started. "It's just that I hate this place. I miss all my friends. I wanna go home!"

"Well, this is your home now. So get used to it." Dani said.

"Give me one more chance?" Max said to us softly.

"Why should we?" Dani asked.

"'Cause I'm your big brother." He said.

We turned to him and he was giving us a pouty face which made us laugh.

"Whoa." Max said looking up. "Check this out." He stood as did Dani and I.

"What?" Dani and I asked.

"Something just flew across the moon." He said.

I just shook my head at him and he looked down at me with a smile. Dani was still in a daze so at the same time we grabbed her shoulders and she screamed slightly making all of us burst into a fit of laughs.

"Let's go, jerkface." Dani said.

We turned and looked at the huge house we were outside of.

"Whoa." We all said together.

"Such a big house." I said.

"Eh, rich people." Dani spoke. "Probably make us drink cider  and bob for apples."

We all looked to each other and nodded before walking to the door.

"Trick-or-treat!" We all said as we peered into the house.

"Jackpot!" Dani exclaimed at the large cauldron full of candy.

"Max Dennison." I heard a beautiful voice say. I looked to where the voice came from and saw a beautiful girl with dirty blonde hair and a smile, wearing a gown which appeared to be from the 17th or 18th century.

"Allison." Max said, taking his hat off.

"Oh, Allison, huh?" I said. She ignored my comment and flowed down the stairs.

"I thought you weren't into Halloween." She said.

"I'm not. I'm just taking my little sisters, Dani and Y/N, around." He said grabbing Dani and walking towards Allison.

Oh course, grab the cute one. I thought before following behind.

"That's nice." She replied sweetly.

"I always do it." He smiled.

"Our parents made him." I said to which he elbowed me for.

She also ignored that comment and said, "Would you guys like some cider?"

Dani and I both declined but Max said: "yes."

She smiled and went and got some and Max followed. I didn't really want to hangout with them but instead my favorite sister.

"Are you having a better time, now?" I asked Dani.

She nodded her head and took the sucker from her mouth. "Yes. But like Max said, you need to grow up." She said, looking down.

"Well, where is the fun in that when I can dress up with my favorite sister on Halloween." I smiled at her.

She smiled and wrapped her arms around me.

"I love you, Dani." I said in her hair.

"I love you too, Y/N." Dani replied.

I pulled away when I heard Allison say, "By the way girls, I love your costumes."

"Thank you!" We said together.

"I really like yours, too." Dani started. "Of course, I couldn't wear anything like that because, I don't have any...what do you call 'em, Max? Yabos?"

I snorted with my laugh as Dani referred to Allison's breasts.

Max's eyes widened as Dani continued. "Max likes your yabos. In fact, he loves 'em."

Allison snickered slightly before changing the subject. "I'm really into witches."

"Really? Us too!" Dani said for me and her. "We just learned about those sisters in school."

"You mean the Sanderson sisters? I know all about them. My mom used to run the museum." Allison continued.

"There's a museum about them?" I asked.

"Yeah, but they shut it down because," she knelt down to Dani's level, "a lot of spooky things happen there."

"Well why don't we go to this old Sanderson house?" Max suggested.

Dani and I both shook our heads 'no.'

"Well, come on. Make a believer out of me." He said.

"Okay, let me get changed. They'll never miss me." Allison said rushing up the stairs.

"Max, we're not going up there." Dani said.

"Yeah, the kids in school told me about that place, it's weird!" I said.

"Dani, Y/N/N, this is the girl of my dreams." Max said.

"Well, take her to the movies like a normal person!" Dani exclaimed.

"Dani! Look. Just do this one thing for me and I'll do anything you say. Please? Please. Please?"

"Okay." Dani and I said together.

"Next year we go trick-or-treating as Wendy, Tinkerbell, and Peter Pan. With tights or it's no deal." Dani said with a smirk.

I taught her well. I thought.

"Okay. Deal, deal." Max said.

We patted him on the back because we knew he would end up regretting his decision even though we wouldn't.
