October 9, 2019 - California
Matt's POV: As I sit on the balcony off of me and Gabby's beach house bedroom, I smiled because I was currently in the midst of holding my beautiful 3 month old daughter Sofia in my lap. Kissing the top of her head, I made sure to hide her eyes from the sun while feeding her this morning. I swear, this is the life. Not only am I going to have a great time here in California on my honeymoon with Gabby, but I'm also having a great time with our kids. But today, we had a bunch of plans. First, we had a nice family beach day planned followed by a date night for us.
And god, Gabby is going to love what I have planned. First, we have reservations at a beach restaurant...then we are going to do a sunset walk on the beach. And last (but not least), we are going to end our night with a nice, romantic bubble bath here in our room. I looked at it and I already know that we can both fit in there...and that's going to be nice. Heck, I can't believe I'm even here in California. I have always wanted to come here...but now, we're here as a family. This is perfect and I'm so happy. That's when I heard Gabby come outside with Marcus. "Morning."
Going to look up at Gabby, I smiled at her before feeling her walk up behind me. Going to put her hand on my shoulder, she bent down and then smiled as she went to kiss me softly. Taking it slow with me, Gabby just smiled as she walked over to the chair next to me with Marcus in her arms. "You already start feeding her?" I nodded and agreed with Gabby when she said that, going to grab the bottle. "She's just taking her sweet time. I think she wants to tan like her mommy." Gabby laughed when I said that and smiled at me. "Thanks for doing this. I love it."
I shook my head when she told me that. "Hey, I want to be here too. This is my dream vacation. Not only am I here with the love of my life...but I'm here with my wonderful family. However, just know that I am going to take you on a date sometime. I don't care if you're nervous to leave the kids behind. I'm taking you on a date and that's final." Gabby smiled and agreed with me when I said that. "Oh, I love that idea. That just sounds perfect." I nodded and agreed with Gabby when she told me that. "I want to go on a few dates baby....this is our honeymoon." I smiled, nodding.
"And it's why I agreed to let your mom come with us. I just hope she's aware that's why she's here." Gabby laughed and agreed with me when I asked her that. "Oh trust me, she's well aware of the fact that she's here to watch the kids. Babe, what other reason would we invite her here on our honeymoon?" I smiled and agreed with Gabby, going to grab my coffee again before going to take a sip of my coffee. "Shit, you want me to make you a coffee. I would have made you one but..." Gabby shook her head. "It's okay. Just keep feeding Sofia." I agreed and nodded.
Going to grab Sofia's bottle again, I smiled as I turned my head and then went to go give Sofia her bottle. "Here we go baby girl, time to have a bottle this morning." Gabby just smiled and agreed with me when I told her that. "I swear, you are such a great dad." I agreed with her when she told me that and smiled. "And you're an amazing mom. But what are the plans for today again? We bringing the kids along...or are we going to Santa Monica without the kids?" Gabby smiled at me. "No, I want to bring the kids into the ocean for the first time." I smiled and agreed.
I nodded and agreed with Gabby when she told me that. "And me too of course. Remember, I have never been in the ocean either." Gabby nodded when I told her that. "I still can't believe that. I mean, at your age...you've never been in the ocean." I agreed with Gabby when she told me that and smiled. "Uhm, do you want me to order some breakfast...or are we going to make breakfast here?" That's when I heard a knock at the door. "Matt, Gabby, you awake?" Gabby laughed and then went to go talk to her mom. "Come in mom. We're awake." Camila agreed.
Popping in, she smiled at the both of us. "Sorry for disturbing. I just wanted to let you know that I made you guys some breakfast with the food I got today." I agreed with her when she told me that and just smiled at her. "Thanks Camila. We really appreciate that." Camila smiled and agreed with me. "Hey, whatever I can do to help the both of you. Do you guys want me to watch the kids today?" I shook my head when she asked us that. "Not yet. Today, we're going to take them to the beach. And we're going to take them into the Pacific Ocean for the first time."
She agreed with us and smiled when we said that. "Well, that sounds amazing. And then breakfast? You want me to bring it in here?" Gabby shook her head when she asked us that. "No mom, we're good. Right now, we're just going to finish feeding the kids. Anyways, we're not dressed that appropriately right now." She agreed with Gabby when she said that and smiled. "Of course, right. See you soon." Gabby nodded and smiled as he mom walked away. She then turned to look at me and just took a breath. "Sorry about that." I shook my head.
"Hey, don't even worry about it Gabby. Your mom just wants to make sure that we're ok and that everything is taken care of. I love how your mom is taking care of us. She's so helpful and I truly appreciate it." Gabby just agreed with me when I said that and smiled at me. "I swear, you are such a good liar." I shook my head when Gabby told me that. "Gabby, I'm not lying okay? I mean it. I appreciate everything that your mom has been doing for us. She's a great help." Gabby agreed with me when I said that and smiled at me before going to grab my hand.
"And you're the best husband in the entire world. I know that this is hard on you." I shook my head. "Gabby, this isn't hard at all. I love the fact that your mom's here. I mean it. Plus, she was a huge help on the plane." Gabby agreed with me when I said that. "Oh my god, tell me about it. I swore, the kids slept amazing today." I nodded and just laughed when she told me that. Turning my head to look at Sofia, I just smiled. "I still can't believe that the kids are 3 months old." Gabby agreed with me when I told her that. "Tell me about it. They are growing so much...too fast!'
I agreed with Gabby and just laughed when she told me that. "By the way, don't forgot that you're mine tonight. We're going on a nice date. I'm going to ask your mom to move the cribs out of here today. I want to have the kids elsewhere. Tonight...we try for baby number 2." Gabby shook her head when I said that. "Not yet baby, it's too soon." I agreed with her and smiled. "Babe, I didn't say we were really trying. It was just my way of saying..." Gabby understood what I meant and laughed. "Oh, I get it now." I nodded and agreed with Gabby when she told me that.
Smirking, Gabby went to reach out for my hand and smiled at me. "God, you have such a dirty mind." I nodded and agreed with Gabby when she told me that. "What do you expect? I'm your husband, I love my wife and I'm horny." Gabby just laughed and agreed with me. "Also, we're on our honeymoon." I agreed with Gabby when she told me that and just smiled. "And I'm so glad we picked Los Angeles. The weather is amazing, and so are the experiences that we are going to have as a family. This is just going to be amazing." Gabby smiled and agreed with me.
"I can't wait to walk down the Hollywood Walk of Fame." I nodded and smiled at her. "Maybe we can even do one of those tours of the celebrity homes." Gabby agreed with me when I told her that and smiled. "Well today, we just go to the beach." I agreed with her. "Twice. Tonight, I'm taking you on a sunset walk on the beach ahead of our romantic bath." Gabby smiled and agreed with me when I said that, really liking that idea. "Sounds perfect." I smiled and agreed with Gabby when she told me that, definitely ready to go to the beach with our kids.
