Matt's POV: Once me, Gabby and Sofia finished in the bath, I smiled as I came down to the living room where we were going to sit down while Sofia took a nap. I was just glad that Gabby was sitting on the couch where I told her that I wanted to see her sitting down. That's when I went to check what she was watching and just smiled when I saw that she was watching some of our recordings. "Which show are we going to be watching?" Turning her head, Gabby smiled. "Oh, these are old episodes from before we were married. There was nothing on." I laughed. "There's no way that we have 3 year old episodes on the box still." Gabby agreed with me, smiling.

"Yeah, we do." I was shocked when she told me that and nodded. "Wow, that was crazy. But listen, you want to have anything to eat or drink?" Gabby shook her head. "In an hour. I want to do it closer to when Sofia eats so that I'm digesting while I'm feeling her." I nodded and agreed with Gabby when she told me that. "You planning on pumping at all?" Going to grab some cups, I made sure to get me and Gabby some water. "You sure babe? I don't want you to starve." Gabby agreed with me when I told her that and smiled at me. "By the way, you tell Severide we're home?" I laughed and agreed. "I texted him that we were going home today. Want to call them?"

Gabby agreed with me when I asked her that and smiled. "You know what, can you make me something to eat after all? I might as well just eat now since you're offering. Who knows when Sofia's going to wake up." I agreed with Gabby when she said that and just smiled at her. "I feel the same way." Going to walk over to the kitchen. "What do you think of a grilled cheese?" Gabby smiled and agreed with me. "Sounds good. But you said something about Severide?" I nodded and agreed with Gabby. "Yeah, I was going to call him and ask how their first night with Andy went last night." Gabby smiled and agreed with me. "Here, I'll call Stella." I shook my head.

"No, don't. Severide texted me to make sure that you don't call her. He wants her to rest because apparently...she had a hard labor. Refused an epidural and wanted to go natural. Took her 14 hours." Gabby was shocked when I said that. "Wait, went natural without an epidural? Dang!" I nodded and agreed with Gabby when she told me that before smiling. "Well, we are going to have to talk to her about that." I laughed and agreed with Gabby when she said that. "Believe me babe, I am glad that you took pain meds. I don't think I could've done it." Gabby looked at me when I said that. "You couldn't do it!" I then sighed. "Babe, I hate seeing you in pain."

Gabby agreed with me when I said that and just smiled at me. "And I hate seeing you in pain. By the way, you need to promise me that you're going to be safe on your first shift back." I sighed when she told me that. "Gabby, that isn't something you need to worry about right now okay?" Gabby agreed with me when I said that and just smiled at me. "I know, sorry baby." I nodded and smiled when Gabby told me that. I then proceeded to do make her a grilled cheese for a snack. And as a special surprise, I may have added a bit of bacon in there since she liked that.

Once I finished making Gabby her grilled cheese, I smiled as I walked over to the living room so that I could give Gabby her grilled cheese. "Here you go, just how you like it." Gabby smiled when I said that and agreed with me. "Can you sit down with me? I'm sure that Sofia's going to sleep for a while. I have the baby monitor on." I nodded and agreed with Gabby when she told me that. "I was going to sit down with you anyways. I want to just relax with you right now." Gabby smiled and agreed with me when I told her that. Sitting down, I wrapped my arm around her.

I then proceeded to kiss the side of her head and smiled at her. "You comfortable?" Gabby nodded when I asked her that and just smiled at me. "I'm extremely comfortable here with you." I smiled and agreed with Gabby when she told me that before leaning in and going to kiss her softly. Just taking it nice and slow with her right now, I was really happy. Gabby is the love of my life and now...she's the mother of my child. It's absolutely perfect. However, it wasn't long before we were disturbed. Sighing, I went to reach over for my phone to see it was Jay Halstead.

"Oh, this is a surprising call." Gabby agreed with me when I said that. "Yeah, really surprising considering he's my ex." I laughed and agreed with her. "Still can't believe that you dated him." Gabby agreed with me when I said that and just smiled at me. I then went to lean down and smiled as I went to kiss her softly. Taking it slow with her, I smiled. "You want me to ignore the call?" Gabby agreed with me. "Yeah, I want my husband to myself right now." I nodded and smiled when Gabby told me that. Going to ignore the call, I smiled as I went to kiss her.

Taking it nice and slow with Gabby, I smiled because I was really happy to just be holding her in my arms right now. "You comfortable?" Gabby nodded and smiled when I asked her that. Going to move my finger underneath her chin, I just smiled as I went to kiss her softly. "Listen, you need to eat your grilled cheese before it gets cold." Gabby nodded and agreed with me when I said that. I then proceeded to bend down to kiss her neck softly. "I love you." Gabby smiled and agreed with me when I told her that. "God, you are so good a teasing me."

I laughed and agreed with Gabby when she told me that because I was well aware of the fact that she loved it when I Teased her like this. "Okay, we seriously need to eat now." Gabby agreed with me when I told her that and smiled as she went to start eating her grilled cheese that I Just made her. Meanwhile, I just went to watch TV since I was very comfortable cuddling up to Gabby. "Can we go back upstairs when we're done eating?" I looked down at Gabby when she told me that. "You don't want to be away from Sofia right now do you?" Gabby sighed.

"Is that bad?" I shook my head and just smiled at Gabby. "It's fine Gabby. You just finish eating lunch and go upstairs. Then I'll come join you upstairs.' Gabby nodded and agreed with me. "Stay in sweats please?" I nodded and agreed with Gabby when she told me that, going to kiss her forehead softly as we both held each other close on the couch while we ate some lunch.
