The Celebration

Few weeks passed since Ezekiel and I decided to get back together, well I'm not sure if we're really back together. We fuck all the time but does that mean we're back together? He never said it officially and I don't recall on agreeing to anything.

So I'm assuming for now that we're friends with benefits!

Today, Ally asked me out on a girlfriend date since her boyfriend is on a trip to the states for business.

I took a warm bath for thirty minutes. To the person who invented bath tubs, thank you so much! This is one of the ways on how to relax me and the other one is well you know; Ezekiel eating me like a snack. Okay, I'm going to stop with these dirty thoughts now.

I'm just wearing a simple ripped jeans in a dark wash, a white spaghetti strapped cropped top, a channel belt then I wore a Louboutin heels. Since I'm feeling really girly today, I curled my hairs into mermaid waves. I placed my favourite necklace, it was my name with diamonds in it.

Just when I'm about to leave the house, my phone rang. Ally was calling.

"Hello?" I answered

"Bff, what the fudge! Where are you? You're taking forever!" She said impatiently. This girl, i swear, her patience is low. Good thing she's not a pediatrician because I don't think her patience can make it.

"I'm on my way now. Sorry, I had a really nice relaxing bath! I needed it Ally. Please forgive me?" I possibly said that in the cutest voice I could.

"Fine! But be here within 20 minutes!" She demanded.

It was fine I guess. My home which is my parents house is not that far from the city. Let's just hope the traffic will be on my side.

As I drove out of the estate and into the main road. Unfortunately, it wasn't on my side. Ally's going to be so pissed at me! But I cannot do anything about that now.

I parked my car in the underground parking lot and went inside of the mall that we would see each other. As I walked towards where she wanted us to meet. I can see a pissed Ally, sitting on the table while sipping her coffee.

"Look who showed up!" Ally said irritatedly as she stood up from the coffee shop that she was in.

I walked towards her and gave her a hug, "I'm sorry, the traffic was bad!" I said and apologised to her again.

Eventually she forgave me for being late. When I asked her why she wanted me to be here, she said that she wanted someone to accompany her to shop. We went into high end stores such as Louis Vuitton where I got tempted and bought a bag impulsively! She also got the same bag as mine, she said so that we could be 'twinning'.

After Louis Vuitton, we went into channel which she bought some stuff. I refrained myself from buying one because I didn't want to be tainted by things that I don't really use.

I bought an outfit from Versace, some shirts from Gucci and three pants from Guess. After our lowkey shopping spree, we went to eat at an Italian restaurant. She had a fettuccine alfredo while I ordered my go to carbonara.

"Do you know if Ezekiel is dating anyone?" She asked this question out of nowhere while we were eating.

"No, how could I possibly now that?" I answered. I mean, I'm not lying. I'm not even sure if we're dating, as I said we're friends with benefits since he hasn't even asked me the 'will you be my girlfriend' question.

"Sorry, it's just because while we were having a family dinner, my parents and I saw a hickey on his neck! It was big." She explained.

I feel bad now. I gave him that big hickey three days ago because he pissed me off. He took so long in eating me out. He kept delaying it and I got pissed. So I gave that to him in return. I know it sounds childish.

"Oh, maybe he's fucking someone." I said bluntly. And that someone is me Ally. I'm still waiting for the right time to tell you everything.

"But he doesn't do that. If he wants someone, he'd be with them." She paused and continued, "Anyway, my parents wanted me to tell you if you can come to their 30th wedding anniversary?" She asked me

Oh wow! 30 years! Look at them, I hope all will experience a love so strong like them and also like my parents.

"Sure! I'd also tell my parents about it." I said.

We finished eating and went on our separate ways. She said she'd just tell me the details about the celebration.

As I went home, I immediately told my parents about the invitation that we got from the Fords. They were happy for them and said that I'd just tell them exactly when so that they can clear up their schedule.

I did my usual night routine and went to bed. I wasn't feeling really sleepy yet and watched Netflix. In the middle of the movie, Ezekiel called me.

"Hi baby, how are you?" He immediately asked as I answered the phone.

"I'm good. My name's Soleil, Ezekiel not baby." I reminded him. Sometimes I still feel awkward when he calls me baby. Since I'm not even sure if we're together!

"But you are my baby." He said, "Anyway, how was your day our with my sister? Has she told you about the 30th wedding anniversary of my parents?" He asked.

"Yeah, she already told me and I told my parents about it." I replied and, "Our day out was good! I had a little shopping free." I continued.

"That's good. You should rest now. Sleep tight baby." He said as he ended the call.

Days passed since then. Mr and Mrs Ford's 30th wedding anniversary celebration is today. We have to wear formal attires so my parents bought me a simple evening gown. It's in a white colour as the motive is white and gold. It has a really nice detail on the back. The hair stylist made my hair into an elegant bun and placed a pin with diamonds in it.

My parents looked dashing as ever and we headed out to the venue. My parents and I are in a separate car with our own drivers.

The venue was designed elegantly. When we walked in, there were already a lot of guests. Mostly influential people. Cocktails were being served all around. When the Ford family saw us, they headed to our way.

"Thank you so much for coming!" Mrs. Ford said sincerely to us.

Ezekiel's parents and mine had their usual conversation of whatever stuff they were on about. I was not really that interested so I just headed out to one of the long tables and grabbed a drink from the tray that the waiter was holding.

Ezekiel followed me. He snaked his arms around my waits and gave me a soft kiss in my ears.

"Ezekiel!" I said loudly but in a whisper kind of way.

He stopped and smirked at me. This guy! He's never ashamed of anything. "Stop flirting! It's embarrassing." I told him calmly.

He removed his arm from my waist and before leaving me behind to entertain some other guests, he whispered in my ears and said,

"Baby you look gorgeous tonight. I hope you are ready for my surprise."
