Sidharth picks up his belongings from the 10th floor and shifts to the 6th floor, just beside Shehnaaz's other secretary, Vidya.

"Hi, aap naye ho?", Asks Vidya.

"Nahi, is company ki malkin se bhi purana hoon. 10th floor se yaha shift hua hoon.", Replies Sidharth as he arranges his desk.

"Oh!! Okay!! Mera naam Vidya hai. Secretary to the CEO.", Vidya proudly smiles telling him her designation and forwards her hand.

"Hmmm.. Sidharth Malhotra, Shehnaaz ka PERSONAL secretary.", Sidharth firmly shakes hands with her.

"What? Mazak kar rahe ho na?", She giggles.

"Mazak karne ke liye main koi tumhara school ya college ka purana friend thode hi hoon? Haan, par Shehnaaz zarur meri college se best friend hai.", Sidharth smirked

"Huh?", Her mouth falls open agape for a moment and then she started giggling which made Sidharth to raise his eyebrows.

"Chal Jhutte.. Kitna phekte ho tum.. Tumhaare saath time achcha guzrega..", She laughed hitting on his shoulder. Sidharth stared at her with a straight.

"Huh? Sunno, main...", Whilst Sidharth went to explain himself, it was interrupted by Vidya's phone.

"Hello.. yes Ma'am...", Vidya spoke with a smiling face while Sidharth enviously glared at her like a little kid who stole his candy.

Vidhya glanced at Sidharth and then spoke "..you mean Sidharth Malhotra?", She asked making Sidharth's eyes shine since Shehnaaz was talking to her about him.

"Okay ma'am. Bye.", Said Vidya placing the receiver back on the stand.

Vidya looked at him and he smirked.

"Ma'am ne aapko andar bulaaya hai.", Said Vidya.

Sidharth smirks even more and raises his eyebrow proudly before standing up and walking to Shehnaaz's cabin with his diary. Vidya scratches her scalp wondering if whatever he said was true earlier. She then shrugged and sat back in her chair.

Shehnaaz was busy typing something on her laptop when Sidharth entered inside jer cabin.

"You called me?", He smiled.

She lifted her orbs a little only until his torso to register his presence before shifting her gaze to her computer again.

"There are complaints from our suppliers that our accounts department are submitting too many claims against their order deliveries. Whereas, our Accounts department says that they are just processing data based on what goods we have received. So I want to you go to the warehouse and check how the employees do goods receipting. Stock counts thik ho raha hai ya nahi iska pata lagao. I want zero complaints from the suppliers.",she said.

"Par yeh kaam toh Warehouse manager ka hai na?",he asked not wanting to go to the warehouse since he wanted to be around her.

"Are you refusing to do the duty assigned to you? Because, just sometime back you came here saying that I don't give you any work which justifies your salaryq.", She asked strictly.

"No.. no.. I was just thinking..", he was interrupted by her words.

"Stop thinking and instead start acting on my orders. You may leave now.", She said strictly without sparing any glance at him.

He gulped the painful emotional lump down his throat because the lady he loved wasn't even looking at him. He rewinds their conversations and realises she wasn't even taking his name whether it was when she spoke to him or when she spoke to his mother about him. He missed the mention of his name from her lips which wasn't less than music to his ears and medicine to his pained heart.

She moved her eyeballs and looked at his feet still standing there.

"Tum gaye nahi ab tak?", She asked in cold tone.

"Hmmm..", he hummed before walking towards the exit. While he did so, his head was turned looking into her direction not wanting to miss her sight thus colliding into the wall instead of door.

"Oouchh!!", He shrieked holding his head which made her heart skip a beat and the strict girl who had been avoiding him all the time suddenly stood up on her feet.

"Siiidh...", The words from her lips froze when she found him perfectly fine. Having heard his incomplete name, he stared into her direction which made her gulp nervously and shift her focus. She fumbled and cleared her throat before walking towards the couch and picking up the TV remote and turning on the television.

As she changed channels, acting as if she doesn't care for him, he observed her for sometime pondering whether he actually heard her calling his name or was it just his imagination. After her continued ignorance he left the cabin.

It had been 2 weeks, since Sidharth worked in the warehouse checking the delivery dockets and comparing it to the goods received in the warehouse. Post her glimpse and short interaction, he hadn't met her even once.

He was feeling miserable since like this his chances of getting back with her was impossible. No matter how much he was trying to go closer to her, she found ways to be away from him. Her ignorance was hurting him more than anything.

Kahan gaya woh pyaar jo uske aankhon mein mere liye dikhta tha? Pehle jab main kaam karta tha tab woh chup chup ke mujhe blinds ke peeche khadhi dekha karti thi, mujhse extra hours kaam karaati thi taaki woh mere saath jyada waqt beeta sake aur ab woh mujhe dekhna tak nahi chahti. Jitna main paas jaana chahu utna woh mujhe durr karti hai.

Durr toh tune kiya Sidharth. Woh toh teri thi.. teri patni.. aur tune kya kiya? Usko apne se alag kar liya. Ab kyu uske attention ke liye taras raha hai? Uske aankhon mein pyaar dekhne ki baat kar raha hai jab ki woh tujhse nazar tak nahi milaati, tera naam tak nahi leti woh.. ab tujhe pata chala usne tujhse 4 saal durr rehke kitni takleef jheli hogi?

"Sidharth bhai, wo mera haat mein bahut dard ho raha hai. Kya aap please meri jagah goods utta sakte ho? Main count le lunga.", Asked Munna bringing back Sidharth from his guilt trip.

"Hmm..", Sidharth nods. He places back the piece of roti into his tiffin box which he was about to put into his mouth and closes the lid. He then goes to unload the heavy boxes from the vehicles to the godown.

It had become a routine after the first week that everyday some or the other unloading and unpacking labourer would ask him to lend him a hand or takeover his duty. They took advantage of his goodness and faked the reasons to make their lives easier. Sidharth wouldn't pay attention to their cunning plans because he was too occupied with Shehnaaz's thoughts.

"Munna, tu toh bada shaatir nikla.. aaj bhi kaam kara raha uss lambu se..", said Golu

"Haan, ab jyada maska math laga aur shart ke paise nikaal.. sutta maarne jaana hai..",smirked Munna throwing the matchstick between his teeth away and forwarding his hand. Golu gives him Rs.100.

"Aur tujhe kya alag se puchna padega?", Said Munna looking at Fayaz. Fayaz grumpily gave him Rs.100 note.

"Parso 20, kal 50, aaj 100. Kal 500 ki shart lagaoge?", Asks Munna.

"Rehne de munna. Tu humko kangaal karke chhodega kya?", Said Golu and Munna smirked before hitting him on his shoulder and going for smoke outside.

Sitting in her cabin, Shehnaaz observed the CCTV footage of the warehouse. This was the third time she caught the glance of Sidharth doing the labourer work. She hadn't sent him to do that daunting work. Her heart ached to find him doing laborious work. Her intentions were to keep him away so that his presence shouldn't hamper her already messed up life.

Clattering her heels, she barged out of her cabin and reached the warehouse site in the next 20 minutes totally enraged. Ignoring the greetings of her employees, she changed her footwear into worksafe boots and wore a safety helmet before going inside the warehouse.

"Good afternoon, Ma'am.",The warehouse manager wished and followed her trail just like a puppy which follows it's owner.

She went and stood near the unloading station with her hands crossed watching Sidharth engrossed in carrying the box. The warehouse manager gulped looking at her line of sight and called his subordinate.

"Ye, Sidharth ji kyu unloading kar rahe hai? Kiski duty thi yeh?", Asked the manager.

"Woh.. Munna..", the subordinate gulped trying to recollect what reason Munna gave to Sidharth to get him to do his work today.

"Bulao Munna ko.. (the subordinate leaves) Ma'am, woh sorry ma'am..", the manager ran towards Sidharth within next second.

"Sidharth.. aap yeh kaam kyu kar rahe hai?", The warehouse manager asked. Sidharth was sweating due to laborious work but the manager was sweating even more profusely fearing wrath of Shehnaaz. Sidharth's eyes caught glance of Shehnaaz standing and glaring holes at the warehouse manager. A soft smile escaped his lips.

He walked closer to Shehnaaz.

"Sir.. woh Munna aa gaya..", said the subordinate who was sent to call Munna.

Shehnaaz turned to Munna and Sidharth stopped in his trail.

"Manager, iska hissab kar do and ask him to get lost from here. Kal se kaam pe aane ki zarurat nahi isse. Mujhe unproductive logon ko tankha dene ki aadat nahi hai.", Said Shehnaaz in cold demeanour.

"Memsaab.. woh main..", Munna tried reasoning before Sidharth spoke.

"Par Ma'am, he wasn't feeling well. Isiliye main bas uski madad kar raha tha.", Said Sidharth.

Shehnaaz looked at Sidharth through the corner of her eyes and then looked at the manager at his face.

"Aur manager, make sure ki uske teen din ka wage bhi cut ho. Betting ke paison se ghar chal jaayega iska.",Shehnaaz smirked at the now shocked Munna's face.

Sidharth was taken aback since, she knew what was going on in the warehouse since three days. The manager goes away with Munna leaving Sidharth and Shehnaaz behind alone.

"Tum teen din se mujhe dekh rahi thi?", Asked Sidharth with a smile. Shehnaaz shuddered as she was caught off guard by him.

"I want 2 weeks stock report summary and all discrepancies summary on my table at 10:30am sharp tomorrow. Your duty here in warehouse is over.", Said Shehnaaz looking elsewhere.

"Sure. Par tumne mujhe jawab nahi diya. Tum sachch mein mujhe dekh rahi thi?", He asked again unable to contain himself that she was paying attention to him.

"Though I am not answerable to you, let me clarify that it's my duty to look after my employees. I have to monitor and track them to see if they are functioning as per my instructions and company's policies. Get back to work.", Said Shehnaaz.

"Sure Ma'am..", he smiled and went to the desk. She stood there pretending to watch other employees working while he kept his eyes only reserved for her.

"Sir, sab unload ho gaya", said the labourer.

"Hmm.. chaar galat boxes aaye hai, isko report karo aur supplier ko return karo. Lautne se pehle supplier ka signature le lena warna woh kahega ki galat claim lagaya.", Sidharth instructs the labourer. His eyes still staring at Shehnaaz while he takes the booklet from the labourer to sign it.

Shehnaaz was looking up at the forklifts which was placing the huge pallets of stock into its proper racks. The warehouse was filled with the noises from packaging machines which ran nearby.

Shehnaaz was suddenly pulled by her wrist making her bump into Sidharth's chest. He drags her away from the reversing truck which was just unloaded and leaving the site.

"Shehnaaz..", Having looked at the truck leave and avoiding the major threat to her life, he sighs and hugs her close to his heart. He shivered just at the thought of any consequences which could have led otherwise.

A sudden shiver ran across her whole body to find herself in his embrace. She closes her eyes for a fraction of seconds to embrace his touch but the bitter memories came haunting immediately.

"Leave me.", she pushes him away and slaps him.

"Mere employee ho, employee ki tarah behave karo. Dubaara mujhe chhune ki ya haat lagane ki galati math karna warna aaj sirf mere haat se chanta khaya hai, kal jail ki hawa bhi khaani padh sakti hai.", Her words shot like fire from her mouth due to immense anger she had been storing for him, unaware of the actual situation which caused him to do it.

He looked around at people who were dumbfounded staring at them and thus felt humiliated. Without wasting any time she went back to her corporate office.

Her palm with which she slapped him was stinging. The guilt of her slapping him overpowered and a stream of tears leaked from her eyes uncontrollably.

(Tring Tring)

"Hello", Vidya answered

"Sidharth bol raha hoon. Shehnaaz office main hai?", He asked.

"Haan, kuch ghaton pehle hi aayi. Bahut gusse mein thi. 7:30 bajh rahe hai. Logout ka time kab ka nikal gaya hai par mujhe darr lag raha hai unse permission puchne mein.", Said Vidya.

"Time ho gaya hai toh ghar jaao", He said.

"Baat toh thik hai par.. kahi mujhe gusse mein fire kar diya toh?", Vidya asked in fear.

"Don't worry. Aisa kuch nahi hoga. Ghar jao. Sab chale gaye honge, tum kab tak wait karogi?", He says.

"Hmm.. waise bhi aaj dopahar se mujhe unhone yaad tak nahi kiya. Chalo bye.", She said before disconnecting.

Collecting her handbag, Vidya silently left the place. The floor was fully empty and dark. The clock struck 8 but Shehnaaz hadn't left yet. Sitting on her chair, she dug her head in between her arms which were placed on the table.

A pair of legs approached the entrance of the 6th floor and the sensory lights went on all through the way until the little cafeteria. The person opened the drawers of the shelf under the coffee machine one by one searching for something and finally pulled out a knife kept in the last drawer. Holding the knife in hand, the person proceeds towards Shehnaaz's cabin. The cabin door slowly opened and the person walked towards the table where Shehnaaz was still sitting in the same position unaware of that person's presence.
